Day 2 and reaching outside my comfort zone. Joined a strength training class today. Sticking to food goals by making healthy but beautiful meals. Starting to get carrots, beets, and lettuce from my garden. Always good freshly picked. Enjoying the flowers and nature around me. Making the best of a teacher’s summer break.11

Posting early. We're eating out with friends tonight and I've logged what I'm having and closed out my day so I won't eat anything else except what is there already. I'm feeling more in control again, just two days in, but it's better than I've felt in a long time.11 -
2nd June
Exercise: Yes, 45 minutes walk + another 15 minutes from home to shop and back, home to station, station to hotel. I'm back in Marseille, examining tomorrow.
Calories: Yes, stayed under. I ate before I got on the train, just as well, because the train was delayed by over an hour, so to make up they offered us 'meal' boxes, loaded with carbs and calories. I just had the water! Still slightly heavy on the carbs, but lots of protein too.
I stayed in this hotel last week, so I could pre-log the breakfast, bring my own lunch and I'll be home for dinner, so tomorrow should be fine. Not sure if I'll get an hour's walking in though.

Lots and lots today - 20 mins yoga, 45 min dog walk, took my eleven year old to the gym (it is school holidays here for one week - thought I might as well entertain him somewhere I can do some exercise myself!). And then played cricket with both my kids for two hours. My dodgy knee means I couldn’t really run much but I was constantly on the move!

I’ve pulled it together after yesterday’s debacle. I was looking at a weight chart this morning. At 197 (which is what I weighed a couple days ago) I am still obese. But at 196, I cross into “overweight.” Talk about incentive to stay focused!

One of things that brings me zen is looking for four leaf clovers. Today I found a 6 leaf, which I don’t find many of. Lots of 4’s, a good amount of 5’s, very few 6’s. Out of the 600ish I found last year, only 6 were six leaves and most were in bad shape. This one is perfect. ❤️🍀
