@SModa61 Just read back a bit, goodness, the pressure we face daily... I had to laugh at the 'woke up with your running shoes on'. That's okay though. Everyone has had days like that. Right back on track today!! We can also measue success by how quickly we get back on track after days where 'life happens'!5

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? YES
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? YES (outdoor walk and playing kickball and running in yard with my 4-year-old niece)
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YES6 -
@SModa61 - thanks for the chuckle - you must have needed sleep more than you needed a workout.
@Jana_2020 - I’ve worked out with weights on and off through the years, but started a program in earnest last month. Cant say I love it, but boy am I loving the results, even this early in the process. I can tell I’m getting stronger and that’s a main goal for me.
@MadisonMolly2017 - again, you are able to nail it with your post.
One thing about goals I’ve learned in the last couple months is to not take on too many at a time, and to not make calorie deficits too severe. I say this mostly for anyone like me, who even 6 months ago would have started with a long list of “here’s what I’m changing or adding all at once in my life” only to be frustrated a couple weeks later. So my goals are to continue what I’ve been doing, baby steps, but boy does it work:
1. Make the winners circle for June - which is 3 goals right there.
2. Continue my “Strong” workouts.
Now here’s a zinger, I already have a pass day June 1. I’m pretty tired from the last couple days, had a day yesterday that I honestly set myself up for excuses and failure. And admittedly, I think there was a psychological component of “new month, I can splurge today”. I am going to go back and enter all those stupid choices into my food diary just so I can be honest with myself and own up to it.
So: exercise - I’m calling this a yes as I spent the day with 4 grandkids, walking to the park, up and down stairs, etc.
Tracked: haven’t yet but will do it next. It won’t be pretty but I have to own it.

@MadisonMolly2017 - sounds like a perfect day that you finally get to be with family!
@SModa61 and @Chinkiri - I feel you. I’m headed down to my mom and dad’s this afternoon through tomorrow. My mom is Sicilian and loves to feed people. And it’s absolutely delicious. When she found out I was coming and picking up my brother at the airport on the way down there, she started cooking immediately. That was a few days ago. We try not to give her too much advance notice. I keep reminding myself that she is 81, this is what she loves to do, and I will enjoy the present because this could be only a memory soon. Plus @SModa61 - homemade biscotti! I don’t think I’m far from you, give me a yell next time. I will help you out.6 -
Yes to all 3!
My goals this month are to jeep my weightloss consistent. I want to lose 5 lbs before the end of the month. I also want to be able to run a 5k more easily

@MadisonMolly2017 Thanks for the photo tip! I did take photos of the on-canvas portraits which were taken of each of our children when they completed kindergarten at 5year oldish.4

@SModa61 your story reminds me that we are all human. Don't fret too much. I like @SummerSkier marble jar. As long as the vast majority indicate a good day, you are just fine.3

@RangerRickL Good luck with the simplifying your home. We backed out of the townhouse purchase so that is not in the works anymore, but we are meeting with the real estate this friday about our house and the next steps for downsizing, I also thoroughly agree that as long as more days are good, then life is too!
@Chinkiri Good luck at the end of the month. And @readyornot1234, are you also in Mass?
@Jana_2020 and @Biketheworld Glad I gave you both a laugh! The good part of falling asleep as I did is that I had only pulled off my shoes when I discovered them, so in the morning I was in my still clean workout clothing. I put my sneakers back on and headed out for an early morning walk. Maybe I should sleep in my workout clothing every night.

@Tuppence26 I noticed that you reported in twice on the May 1st thread. If the second post was intended for May 2, you want to find its corresponding thread on the main UAC site and post there. Here is the link to the main page. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/140629-ultimate-accountability-challenge-june-2021 If you scroll down, you will see the threads for each day of the month. Meanwhile, nice work on the challenge. Two good days for far!2

I wrote a very long post to you regarding: your MIL etc then edited it then shortened it.
Then saved it to my phone’s notes -
wrote a second that got long then edited then saved it as well.
Decided my suggested approach may not work for others ie I chickened out.
Tried to delete post & coulsnt so just noted “delete sl
Hugs.

@tuppence26 so that you have the opportunity to stay current with the group, it is best if you post on the thread for that day. Today, June 3 would be this thread. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10833275/june-3-sign-in#latest

Thank you smoda, I am quite lost. Don’t understand”today’s thread “. No matter..I will just continue use the diary. It gets a bit confusing anyway cos my 3 june New Zealand time is your 2 June Northern hemisphere. Good luck to everyone 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻3
-
@Tuppence26 I’m also Southern Hemisphere but not in quite as different a time zone (South Africa) but I report on the date I am talking about regardless of when I’m logging it or when others may read it. So when I’m reporting for 3 June I look for the thread with that name and comment on how that day went.3
