I've been inactive on here and I apologize. We just went through yet another heat wave. I can't even think when it's that hot. Chopping veggies makes me sweat LOL. Anyways, yesterday a massive storm with large hail, ton of rain and a plow wind came in. I lost power so I could not log on which I why I was a day late.
I have been exercising with the gardening but sweating all the time so staying hydrated. I hope this heat wave stuff doesn't continue. It's just tiring.1 -
@socajam Thanks for the tip. I have been drinking lots of water and eating mostly Whole Foods to try and flush it all out. I may just add that into the mix.
(I did manage to shed 3lbs of it since yesterday...hopefully another 3 will come off by tomorrow) The perfectionist in me HATES that I might lose my green streak in this challenge...lol.0 -

Remind us…. Where are you located? No need to be super specific.
I in Florida/Georgia and the humidity is killing me.0 -
So…. I will be skipping my weigh in this week.
I am battling a summer cold and weighed in this am and was up a couple lbs. I packed to return to GA and forgot my scale in fla. maybe it was a subconscious desire not to weigh in … I’m not sure. But I will be skipping.3 -

I’m on vacation this week, and using a different scale than usual, so I’m glad to see some consistency ... rather than a gain! I’ll take the minuscule progress.5 -

Happy Friday Team!!!!
A year ago, I set out to accomplish a goal of getting to 140 pounds or a size 8 by my 45th birthday. My knee surgery sidelined me, not only for the physical aspect but the mental one too. I am an emotional eater so I was comforting myself with food during the month and a half that I pretty much gave up. I stopped exercising all together even though I know there are things I could do that wouldn't hurt my knee. Once I picked myself back up and finally got the knee taken care of, I adjusted my goal to hit 150 pounds which would get me into the healthy BMI.
Well, here I am 12 days away from my birthday and I have 4.4 pounds to go to hit that goal. I am very anxious about it. I want so badly to smash that goal! Here are my intentions for the next 12 days and every day after that.
1. Drink the water - I feel so much better at about a gallon a day.
2. Fast as long as possible every day. I usually eat between 10-6. I know the IF has been the key to my success so if I can go a little longer each day I think it will make a difference.
3. No drinking!!! If I am feeling the pressure I will have club soda and cranberry. It will be a mind f@&k that should work.
4. Get out and walk as often as possible. I am aiming for 8 out of the 12 days.
5. Make better food choices. Eat more veggies and stay away from the processed sugar!
6. Stop thinking about food all the time. When I have the thought, I will replace it with a flower. Instead of craving chocolate I will picture beautiful sunflower fields or one perfect dahlia. This was an idea I had on the way to work today. We will see if it works!
I will also be kind to myself and give myself credit for how far I have come. 60 pounds is no joke. I feel great. I just NEED to meet this goal....
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!9 -

I am sorry I have been MIA. Me and my husband went up to the mountains last week and just came back Wednesday so I did not have much service there. Ofc during that time I seemed to have gained some:( I hope it's ok for me to come back, if I was removed from the team just let me know.3 -
@janek1705 You are still a part of our team! I hope you had a lovely time in the mountains!2

@imgwendolyn2015 congrats on the 60lbs...and good luck getting to that 150 mark!
@janek1705 welcome back!
I am losing my vacation water weight at a rate of 2lbs per day! Which is great...and reaffirms mybelief that it IS in fact just water weight. However, I still think I'll be up tomorrow from last week. :-( Hopefully I'm wrong...but even losing 2lbs by tomorrow will have me at a small gain.
However, I am still proud of myself for not letting my vacation gain discourage me...sometimes the sodium gains have messed with my mindset. This time I have stayed the course and focused on my habit tracker.

The scale has been teasing me. Yesterday I was a half pound lighter and I was so hoping to make it to the 180s this week. Oh well, I am determined to make it next week!6 -

207 on the nose 👃🏼!! Well, I officially passed the 50 pound loss mark -I never would have believed it before. I am so motivated to keep going. I haven’t seen my parents or sister in over a year because of our regional restrictions and lockdown -but we going there for Canada Day 🇨🇦-I’m looking forward to their reaction-I’ll temper it accordingly because I hid my weight well before so lots of people haven’t noticed. That’s what I like about MFP app when you can take progress pictures and compare.5 -

The crazy thing is, my husband and I were in Palm Springs this past weekend. He was playing in a golf tournament. When we got back on Monday, I had gained 1.6 lbs (not surprised with all the barbecue, wine, and snacking). I've spent this last week exercising and watching (diligently) what I ate. I weighed this morning and I had lost the 1.6 and I am exactly the weight I was when I left.3 -

Sorry team....I was unsuccessful at getting all of my vacation water/sodium weight off in time.
We had plans last night that required eating out...which I am sure brought my sodium levels up again. I made great choices calorically...but at my weight, sodium makes a BIG difference.
I also think my last weigh-in was a little misleading and fell during an unusually low period in my body's natural weigh fluctuations.
Hopefully this means week 4 will bring with it a nice loss.
