Thank you for your enthusiasm and support for the UAC!
Yesterday, @MadisonMolly2017 posted an excellent prospective job description script and job title list. The idea is encourage sharing the work and greatly multiplying the creative energy and team spirit of the UAC.
While Maddie was creating that proposal to share the work and magnify the results schematic, @Mrs_Hoffer, Jessica, and I had two phone calls. BTW: It really is nice to talk to each other.
Since I have read every post by everyone, I know that @Mrs_Hoffer is capable of succeeding at being the Backbone Boss (Maddie's term for the ultimate decision-maker). On the other hand, I told Mrs Hoffer to not take the job unless and until other team members volunteered to share the load as either co-leaders and/or committed participants with job description.
I am willing to do some of that work too.
When I spoke with Mrs Hoffer, she stated, "I have been in MFP for 8 years. I have finally learned that I need accountability every day. Every time I have reached my goal and quit being accountable, my weight jumps back up.
I need to do this for the rest of my life."
I responded, "Me too!"
Please use your post to communicate your willingness to keep the UAC alive by being an active participant. Not every one needs to take those roles, but if a few people will do a little, then a lot will get done.
This would greatly increase the creative insights that are shared.
P.S. MFP Private Messaging will only deliver messages between MFP participants who are Friends. If you send a message to someone who is not your Friend, the message goes into the ether. It is never delivered.

Hi Everyone!! With everyone’s suggestions & willingness to take on parts of this amazing UAC, we are *almost* there!! Thank you for your kind comments & sharing how much you love $ find UAC helpful (invaluable?!)
If you are willing to do any of these tasks, or want me to note you as a back-up, please post a message, and I will add you!
What we are most in need of is what I what I think made UAC our special, unable to be replaced, group - paraphrasing a member who searched for a possible replacement.
Rick commented on posts - he got around to everyone - he celebrated, he offered words of comfort, he encouraged, he cared HE NOTICED if you’d been absent & returned or your kg’s lost was going up over time. He paid attention to our trends. He was there when we most needed - magically.
THIS was the Secret Sauce in my opinion.
SO, how to do this?! Give me your ideas, suggestions, brainstorms!!!
I’m wondering if we could have a set of code words or emoticons…for ex:
🆘 SOS I Really am about to give up or I’m really struggling (and we would all know to give them some extra love.
🎉 or HOORAY. “I achieved something I never thought I could” & we all feel good & make a big deal for them!!

Well, now that I know about messages only going to people in my friends list, I'm sending out some friend requests to all of the volunteers listed above.
Just FYI in case any of you tend to question why you're receiving friend requests.
Also, while I'm not necessarily calling out for people, anyone can feel free to send me friend requests. I do not filter anyone who I recognize (and who clearly aren't spam). So don't ever hesitate in case you wonder if I am limiting or filtering friend requests.2 -
I intend to continue as a member of this group so happy to see it continue but currently I’m not getting my current commitments filled properly so can’t sign up for any others. That May change in the future, but I don’t have a time machine to check 🤪🤪🤪
Today’s positive was that even though I considered skipping it, I went for my morning run and actually got a better than normal time. Didn’t log food though 🤦♀️
Even kids Jiu Jitsu was cancelled today. And so was community group (my leader is a doctor so exposed to numerous positive cases and even though he is vaccinated, it’s currently high risk that he could be a carrier.)
I did have a constructive day at work and only two days (Thursday and Sunday) left of my current shift before I get a week off. Hoping that coach lets me train with the team if classes stay closed or lets me Borrow mats so I can train with some friends.2 -

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Nope. Not even with an hour walk. Both my husband and my mom had victories to celebrate tonight. My mom chose Mexican food. I went over my calories, but I still had a win - I did not eat any chips! That is a HUGE step for me.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep. It was eye-opening. At least guacamole is good fat.

Now that we have a Backbone Boss, I'm going to defer to her regarding who does what and when.
I promise to take a support role that helps her to lead the group.
It's wonderful that many people have raised their hands to contribute. Now, let's respectfully, wait for @Mrs_Hoffer to let each of us know privately what she would like us to help her to accomplish.
