I recommend this weeks challenge. I am struggling with my sugar addiction. I have huge cravings after I eat dinner and supper. I am going to use this reflection board to try and stave off the cravings. If I can say no for two weeks, I know they will go away. Anyone else going through this?

Welcome new team mates. I'm Tracy. I'm 49, live in New Hampshire. I have 2 boys and 2 granddaughters. I have been married for 26 years. I always gain and lose the same 5 pounds no matter what I do. I have been seeing a gi specialist, I do have ibs but they are seeing if anything else is going on. I have a virtual appointment next week with a weight loss clinic that I am looking forward to. They make you log in as a group and listen and decide if its the place you want to be before they sign you up for an actual appointment. I'm looking forward to a few days off this weekend. Maybe I can get something done.

    Thanks for the support !!

The northern part of Belgium where I live is as flat as a pancake; the southern part is hills, it's the Ardennes which in America is mostly known for the battles during WWII. But at the moment I cannot lift my bike in my car because of my shoulder, so it is all flats for me for a few months still.

Half a pound is good! I have been a little more thoughtful about eating snacks between meals and especially at night.

I had bone grafting done in my mouth in a few places on my upper jaw. I knew it would be something serious, but I was surprised at how it really caused a major disruption to everything I was doing. Eating was most affected. I'm still not healed, but I am not in as much pain. I've been very reflective during this time looking at the lack of progress I have made compared to my younger years.

I have been asking myself which lifestyle and food choices am I prepared to live with for the remainder of my life. You can see by my steps that I am walking a lot. It is very hot here so we try to get out in the mornings before work. Yesterday there was a thunderstorm so we couldn't. I ended up walking 4 miles in the direct sun at lunchtime, and even though I had a hat, I became sick from the heat. But, a cold shower and two water bottles later I determined that I won't give up.

My food and total calories for the day is where I am making the biggest adjustment. I am quite capable of doing what I want to meet my goals, but balancing it with what my husband wants to eat and thinks about my small portions is the hardest. I am not blaming him, but I am understanding it's a big part of how I got where I am at now. I was thin when we met.

Update on my health: Had a scan Monday which showed my liver looks good with no change in the tumor (the doctor thinks it has died in place) and small changes to one or two lymph nodes. Probably side effects of the Keytruda. Doctor wants to do a biopsy if possible and has scheduled a scan in seven weeks to check on it. I had more Keytruda today and scheduled for three weeks from now just before the next scan. Then we will see.
I hope she is right and I can see the end of this journey soon.

    That's terrific news!

July weight loss goals: My goal is to get down to 144 pounds by week 5! And to stay in the green for the next four weeks!

I’ve been eating too many calories including too much sweets. I guess you can say I’m off my diet since I’ve been overeating my calories everyday for a couple weeks. Going forward, I’d like to get back on track where I eat less calories than I burn. I want to lose about 15-20 pounds to see how I look and feel at a BMI of 22. That’s my long term goal, a BMI of 22. Six months ago my BMI was 32. I’m currently at a BMI of 25.

One Non-scale victory (NSV) is that my size six pants fit me! Another is that I can walk five miles without getting tired.
I’m hoping this self talk will get me back on track!
What are your July goals and what are your NSV you are most proud of?

Happy Fourth of July weekend in USA.

Hello everyone and all of our new members.

I’ve struggled with my weight since I was in middle school. Ive been ata plateau for 6 months. This weeks weight loss has given me hope that I can finally shed these last 10 pounds. But it may be back next week. My highest weight was 268. I didn’t recognize myself in a picture. I decided to make some changes. I cut all sugar and I stopped baking and lost 45ish pounds. Then I found this group in September of 2020 and I really changed the way I ate and lost another 45 ish by January of 2021. I’ve been right around that weight since then except for a little backslide in March and April. I can accept where I’m at. I really just want to be able to say I’ve lost 100 pounds. Im still working on it. 😁

Im a single mom of a 13 yo girl and thats what started me on this journey. She had a medical diagnosis of pcos. Which I also have. The drs offered birth control or a diet change. I wanted to be a good example and so I started the diet. She’s not having it! Lol and I’m not pushing because it’s her life. I’ll lead by example maybe someday she will follow. But that’s where this started.
I have an active job and that’s where most of my steps come from. I was also going to the gym but couldn’t lose weight as I build muscle pretty quickly. My goals right now are to get down to 160 -165 ish and go back to the gym this fall after sports are over. We’ll see how that goes.

I bought this dress at goodwill, for .25 cents, killing time the other day. I love it. It’s so cute. But here’s a comparison from my heaviest to yesterday. b8h4pv0dqtzy.jpeg
