    Not going to be able to meet this weeks goals. I have contracted MRSA. I don't know how/where I got it from. I didn't know what it was at first and tried over the counter stuff and hot compresses. Went to the Dr. yesterday. I'm on antibiotics and hope it will clear it up soon. It's painful and I worry about passing it on to my DH. 😬

    I'm not sure if this belongs here but I'm unsure of which DVD to get. On Amazon they all say something different like Miracle Miles or Walk it off in 30 days. I am just looking for a basic DVD set that has the 15 minute/1 mile workouts like the ones on YouTube. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Hi savannahs21. Glad you joined us.

    I can recommend 2 DVDs that sound like what you are looking for: Just Walk 5 Boosted Miles and an older one, Walk At Home 5 Day Slim down. They both have a separate warm up and cool down and you just chose the mile you want to walk.

    You can find a list of all her workouts at https://www.facebook.com/aprilwalks777/ (you don't have to be a member of facebook to see the list and click on it.) Also Aprilwalks.com has the list but it's been a while since theres been any activity on that site and the list might not be updated there. But I believe it is on her facebook page.

    Oh no @AnnofB! I am so sorry to hear about the MRSA and that you are in pain. 😧 Praying for you to heal quickly and that your DH does not contract it as well. 🙏🏻 I'm sure you know to keep your laundry and towels separate, don't share any items. Take it easy and be kind to yourself. 🌼 Let us know how you are doing.

    @VeggieGirlforLife - Thank you, Lani. Yep, a lot of cleaning and keeping things separate. I am seeing some healing going on. Less pain too, so hoping it won't be long till it's cleared up.

    Checkin in...been working everyday between the 2 jobs, walking less, gaining a little, just keeping my head above water. Next month and the one after should be much lighter work wise (as I slooooowly reduce to 1 job) and then I can focus more on me on my off time. It's still very nervewracking to be trying to do the new job and prove myself there and sometimes to wander about thinking what the heck am I supposed to be doing right now, then doing something and holding my breath waiting for feedback. It's exhausting.

    I really thought this summer would be very routine oriented but I have a feeling that might come after the 90 day mark especially if I can get 1 place to live, 1 job, etc. For now, I march on and try to walk a mile or two most days even though I so wanted to keep up with 3-5 miles/day as I tried to do early on.

    7/28...3 sets of 8 reps - squats, lunges and crunches. Unable to do any upper body work as the MRSA is under my right arm. 😣

    Feeling better and the infection seems to be lessening. I sure have missed my workouts!

    This situation sounds very stressful. Hope things settle down for you soon and you can get back to doing your mileage. Take care.

    @AnnofB Hugs to you 💐💗. Having MRSA is very painful for sure. I've known people in the past who have also suffered with it, and they have definitely said the same. Do take care of yourself, especially since the extra care/ work that you have to do to prevent passing it on is adding extra to what you are going through 😖. Glad that it seems to be responding to treatment.
    Your exercise log still rocks even though MRSA is interfering!!

    @Deeder522 I'm sorry to read that your heel spurs are acting up for the 1st time in years. Any idea what causes that after so long a time since the last time? I totally understand the heat & humidity being negative factors 🙁. You are doing well with the apple watch challenge!

    @mypinkbikini That will definitely be wonderful when you have only one job to go to and everyone and everything is together in the same home, finally. That will be a big sigh of relief. Hugs 💗💐... Be gentle on yourself.

    Well, I had a good plan, but July was a total bust! There was just too much going on around here. It was HHH at the beginning of the month and we do not have AC up here (we really do not need it most of the time as there are only a couple of weeks in July with days hot enough to run it), so Leslie was very unappealing! :laugh: However, it cooled off mid month, but we had contractors here and my husband was tearing out walls in my work out zone!!! :grumble: Sadly, once I get into a "Well, I can't work out today" mindset, it is super hard for me to restart and I have been having motivation issues anyway. However, I did not gain or lose any weight this month, so I am now much more motivated to stick to a plan next month! At least I got in 64.7 miles right? :blush:
