As usual I would like to say thanks to Dave and Janet for keeping track of our miles. I cannot believe that I am officially starting year 9 this month and have completed over 31,000 miles from running, cycling and now mostly walking. It is incredible what the human body is capable of doing. Here is to continuing to move for many more and never rusting. Happy August folks.
I am in for 150 this month.

Thanks @JANET for covering the last couple of days! It's been a blur. A happy blur. And thanks to ALL of you for the well wishes on my injury & impending surgery this Friday AND on the wedding day last Sunday! IT WAS PERFECT. Couldn't have asked for a nicer weather day! 78Β°F, sunny and a nice breeze. It was a very sweet, cool, unique outdoor wedding. I rode up on my small motorcycle in my leather vest, two of my buddies were waiting in their vests and then they walked me with my arms over their shoulders over to where I would stand. My two adult boys that are total hams did the Flower boy dance on their way in throwing flower petals from their fanny packs , my daughter and Jen's son walked up next. Then here comes the bride being escorted by her father. She looked stunning and took my breath away.
We had some fun music to walk in and out to, our special song "Make You Feel My Love" while we hung pictures of our immediate family (the ones still here and those in Heaven) on a special tree, our own vows and pledges of love with some humor sprinkled in...then I totally surprised Jen by recording a message and then singing to her Elvis' song, "Can't Help Falling in Love with You". Not a dry eye in the house, especially mine. I HAD to record it because I KNEW I could never make it through without choking up. Even recording it took me about 40 tries before I could get through it cleanly!! We had a small group of family and close friends and neighbors in attendance. It was everything Jen and I hoped it would be and then some. Then we had a quick receiving line, then pictures of the wedding party, then a catered BBQ, soda & beer & seltzer, and lots of yummy homemade desserts provided by neighbors. What an absolutely wonderful day!
I will attach a couple of pictures. Ignore the swollen left leg.
Dave

Dave! Oh my gosh. Perfect day for a perfect couple. It all looks fabulous but I have to say the red sneakers really got me! Awesome. Good luck with your surgery. No worries here - I got you .1
