Weigh Day Wednesday
PW: 236.8
CW: 233.2
Small victories rock! I was so dreading getting on the scale this morning because yesterday work was a rough day. I didn’t eat breakfast-got floated to PACU for 3 hours before returning to my OR and doing 2 REALLY long cases (not eating/peeing all day…..nurses are the worst) Needless to say, my stress was UP and I was exhausted by the time I left……so hit a drive-thru for dinner. Tried to keep it light, but still felt guilty…..so I’m happy happy happy for my small weight loss this week. What helped me: I charted my food/activity EVERY Day. This week my new habit to add is: get that 110 ounces of water in every day. Thanks for the support and let’s keep Shrinking our Assets 😎8 -

It's been a bit of a crazy week. I started working at my friend's frame shop on Monday and was on my feet all day, which hasn't been the norm for a very long time. I'll be helping twice a week. I had over 11500 steps that don't count as exercise on MFP. So I don't think I ate enough. I may need to add a few hundred extra calories on my new work days. Yesterday I was back in the pool doing laps. I'm just recently back to the pool and after a few adult swim lessons to go over breathing and form, I'm working to build up. I usually swim a lap freestyle or crawl and then use the kick board for a lap. I'm trying to minimize breaks and am focused on completing 50 minutes each time. I love the pool and am so excited to go. I swim 2x a week, take Orange Theory classes x 2 and hike with my sister on Sundays. I'm feeling good about my exercise routine.
This is my first month with this group and I'm so excited to be here for the encouragement and support. Thank you!!
Quick question: My PW next week will be what I weighed today and not my starting weight for August?6 -
@coblujay Correct. Your PW next week will be your CW today.
You've got a great exercise routine!2 -
@sigma3girl I know why you said it, for the lack of eating/peeing...but let me just say NURSES ARE THE BEST! Good job on logging. I know that helps me too.3

AWESOME LOSS! Apparently all that hard work, on so many fronts, paid off!2 -
I changed by weigh date from Tuesday to Friday because I made a trip to my Aunt's - she had a doctor appt I needed to attend. didn't know when I would be back and Friday works good.
However - - I got on the scales this morning (returned home last evening) and the scales reflects that I have been partying big time!!!!!!!
Telling you now - Friday will be a gain but I have few days to get on the right track.
That said - I did get on the elliptical this morning, something I haven't don't in a month of Sundays. Got a five minute workout. Doesn't sound like much by my knees were creaking loudly and I was out of breath. After a recovered from my workout - - I got a load of laundry started, unpacked my suitcase and gonna get some more done around the house.
My niece is in summer school - so she arrives within the hour. I have some house tasks for her ($$) and grocery shop.
New month - new day. I can't change the past, but I make good decisions today.

I gained, again. I have a hunch this is a water retention thing, though. I haven't really overeaten more than normal if that makes sense LOL.

Very mixed feelings today. I visited our company doctor today to discuss how to manage work until my maternity leave starts, as I’ve been so tired and foggy I physically don’t stay awake for a full day without napping. As a result, I’m now on full sick leave for 10 days to comply with bureaucratic rules (will still do some work, though), and then 60% work 40% sick leave until maternity leave starts mid-September. On one hand, this feels like a failure and I’m a little stressed about how to handle all the remaining tasks and handovers at work, on the other hand I’m relieved that this is taken care of, I don’t have to worry about how to make it through the next day, and I can now take it easy with a clear conscience as I have doctor’s orders to work less and rest more. I think it’s much better this way so I can cut hours in a controlled manner and stay as healthy as possible, instead of trying to push over my limits and crash to the point of complete bed rest. The doctor also ordered some additional bloodwork to make sure there are no underlying issues hiding behind pregnancy, it’s nice to get all that checked out as well.9

Hey Everyone,
Sorry I've been MIA for a couple days. Good news is my healthy habits are all still in check and I've been steadily losing since my last weigh in day (hope it continues and shows up at my next weigh in)
@Nature003Life
I totally agree, this group has helped my accountability a lot…and my motivation. (Speaks to my competitive nature)
@PatriceFitnessPal
Thank you for sharing the details of your journey…very inspirational. I’ve been at it for a year now…my longest stretch of healthy habits ever! I have a lot to lose, but I am really focused on the habit building/healthy lifestyle building this time. I know that with patience and consistency I will get to a healthy BMI someday.
Welcome to all of our new team members!

Folks:
I would like to take August off - I am not sure what is going on, but I keep have these serious hunger issues which is freaking me out. I would wake up in the mornings extremely hungry.
I am going to take August to try and sort this out and get my protein in check
I am a non meat/chicken/seafood/eggs/soy eater - also found out that legumes gives me serious indigestion, but plan to bring back into my diet very slowly as I really need to up my protein intake
Got ya moved. Please let us know what works for you. This has happened to me before and it thru me off track bad!!! I like your approach.
Thanks ladies
I am feeling a lot better than I was the last couple of weeks - it was hell. I will be restarting exercising today - just the elliptical to do something
I have also started drinking premier protein @30 grams of protein, have made a huge difference to my well being
They are on sale at Costco until August 28th@$7.00 off, so I will be stocking up
Normally, I have the chocolate, but Just tried the caramel this morning with my cereal and I really liked it.
I had one @160 calories add in some cashew butter@160 and 30 grams of high fiber cereal and I am still under 500 for breakfast which kept me full for a good while. My plan is to have 2 protein shakes a day and then a large dinner with fish, brown or quinoa and lots of vegetables
To all those ladies with the high losses - well done
To all those not moving, Rome was not built in a day, the weight did not come overnight, even though sometimes it feels like it4 -

I would be careful w/Premier proteins lots of sugar & hidden sugars - a certified nutritionist that I am working with has said that those are high in sugars0 -

There is only 1 gram of sugar in the ones I am drinking - cannot drink things that are too sweet1 -
Hey captains, can I come back to the team or is it too late for this month? I am coming crawling back with my tail between my legs having gained EVERYTHING BACK. I need to get back on track and have accountability. Can I rejoin, pretty please?4

Hi there! I'll have to defer to @Beka3695 for this. I'm not sure what the "rules" are. Would be great to have you back though!1 -

Felt good tracking this week, but reinjured my neck yesterday so my habit tracker is going to be off because of it.

@Ickiehl - what is your august starting weight and weigh day. I’ll pull some strings when the mods 😉1 -
Hi guys!!! I have powered thru the suds (think spongebob…) and made it to the other side. I was never COVID tested, so to be safe, I will quarantine for 10 days - this will be up Tuesday. It actually feels good to be home and not responsible for anyone but myself. Selfish, maybe? Sanity, YES!
I am curious to see what the scales say tomorrow. I expect them to be down a little. My appetite came back with a vengeance.
A little humor…. I joked that my first week back I would be so lazy that if breathing didn’t come natural I would just die. I checked my Fitbit and I have only taken 13k steps so far this week… WEEK!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Let’s get those weigh ins posted and crush the week!!!5 -

What’s everyone planning for the weekend?
I’m visiting a friend for her very belated graduation party, and otherwise focusing on resting and trying to catch up with household chores. You know you’re tired when ”do two rounds of laundry between naps” feels like a major goal.4
