Hi Everyone. I’m 44 and live in rural Ontario 🇨🇦. Married & I have 2 children -11,15 also 2 indoor domestic cats, 2 Maine Coons 2 miniature dachshunds and Deboritzio the Italian barn cat that we have adopted. I can’t really say when I started my weight loss journey. I had a really bad MVA in 1998 and a lot of residual pain and inflammation-limiting me to just get through University and later, a work day. I was forced onto nerve block injections and steroids through insurance which messed up my endocrine system. I was also perpetually pregnant for about 5 years -between my kids I had 2 miscarriages and an ectopic. So that brings me to modern day when everything under the sun was not working -eating so clean and so well and exercising for hours with no changes-so disheartening and every time it would be 11:11 or I’d blow out a birthday candle -I wished I would see a change. Last fall I started having some scary symptoms and I knew that a few major chronic diseases were knocking at my door. I spoke with my doctor and I started Saxenda on October 31, 2020. This Spring, we added Contrave. It has not been a fun ride -lots of discipline and lots of yucky GI stuff...but I am down 60 pounds and have maintained under 200 pounds for the past couple of weeks -so I can actually believe it and say it out loud -I’m finally under 200 pounds. I didn’t think it was possible and I am motivated to carry on and see what I can do up until Halloween this year. I hope to come up with a strong maintenance plan that works in everything I have learned. I am thankful that this methodology has also helped me to really cut down on alcohol-which was admittedly one of my vices....and that has had a tremendous impact on my health too. I have one motivation-my family. And when I sent my side by side to my kids yesterday-I said get ready to be spammed -I did it! And there was so much love -giving me more motivation to push through these next few months. Of course there’s a small part of me 🤏🏼 that celebrates wearing jeans instead of the daily black leggings with dresses that I call tunics. Thanks to this groups and MFP for being a big piece of this since 2018.7

Tarynjoyp - sorry to hear you hurt yourself. Bust out that heating pad or ice pack (whatever is best)
lckiehl - welcome back.
Dew11252 - I like that quote. It’s a good way of getting my mind right for the weekend.
Hipari - Trying to eeek out one more weekend of summer. I am the President of my counties Education Association so this week I’ll be running a booth at our New Teacher Orientation….then next week…it is back to school.
Beka3695 - Enjoy that loss either way. Hope you are feeling much better.
SisuMom2019 - Great job!
TEAM CAPTAINS - I would like to change my weigh in day to Friday....if that is okay.

This week was stressful at work and at home. I know I didn't hit my water goal and had more salt than usual.
It's my birthday weekend and will do my best not to indulge. We will be going to a party today and on Monday. Tomorrow we have plans for a quiet relaxing day. I know I will see the 270s soon. Not going to give in or quit.
Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning Everyone,
Just popping on to say hello.
I am headed to a baby shower today. It is being held at a Mexican Restaurant. I already looked up their menu and selected a Fajita Salad and logged it.
I anticipate cake. I am not a huge cake person, so my plan is to pop a Kind bar into my purse so I can enjoy something sweet at the end of the meal...but in a controlled portion.
Hope you all have a great day today...

Somebody on here, maybe last month, talked about starting to live the life he wanted instead of waiting to lose weight for a new life to start.
Thats what I want.
Today I wanna start living the life I dream of instead of waiting to lose weight. Gonna be more sweat and aches then if I wait, but it beats the waiting game.
Yep. Its what I want...just be me and not get detoured by my size/weight.6 -

Hmm. I thought I hit disagree by accident but then it didn't show up for me as disagree so I thought it was okay. If that was me, I'm sorry - just clumsy scrolling.1

It wasn't me (I checked!) but it's happened to me too, somebody apparently disagreeing with my weight loss (???) I know it's probably just people clicking on the wrong icon but it's truly upsetting, I know! Hang in there. It's not you, it's THEM!!!1 -

I wish MFP would switch the reaction buttons so that the one on the edge would be something supportive, since that’s where you most likely click on accident… In the past I’ve hit multiple accidental disagrees by simply scrolling on a touch screen, but I try to be careful and correct any possible misclicks.2 -

Congratulations on another great week, @chublet25.
I’m sorry that happened to you @LaurieWrobo. I just made a suggestion to the MFP staff, asking them to switch the order of the heart and disagree icons, since it’s so easy to accidentally touch the disagree icon while scrolling. Like others, whenever I see that selection, I test to make sure it wasn’t me.
Here’s the link if you want to support 👍🏼 the idea … or “disagree” 😣!

For now, I’ll just imagine everyone has the best intentions and it was just an accident. 🤷♀️2 -
Thanks everyone-I was just surprised, angry and felt defeated- my weigh in didn't save & then when I did it again, I saw that-just a bad day☹4

Weigh Day Wednesday
PW:233.2
CW: 231.6
Been busy at work. Have faithfully diaried my food every day. Started drinking a gallon of water every day……putting an orange, lime, fresh ginger and ACV in it with a pinch of sweetener. My new habit NEXT week will be to get at least 10,000 steps a day. Shouldn’t be too hard, as I get about 6-8,000 working in the OR anyway.
Can’t wait to give my PCP my new weight and BP readings today.
Love to you all! We CAN become healthier individuals!9 -

So excited to get back into the 230's and hopeful that the 240's, 250's and 260's are history forever. Ten weeks into the journey, I've lost 22 pounds. My weight loss has slowed a little, but I'm here for the long haul. I love seeing everyone post their successes and yes, sometimes challenges. We are still here plugging away.11 -

Well, apparently my weigh in didn't show up for last week
Here is yesterday's weigh in:
I had to go into my physical office after 1.5 year of being away yesterday so I neglected to post- and the office was on a generator as there was no power after bad storms hitting WI Tuesday night
PW: 150.2
CW: 150.6
I hope this still counts @Beka36956 -
