Wasn't expecting a big loss this week (lot of stress at work and still working through neck injury). BUT neck is starting to feel better so should get back to working out this week and I'm going to focus on getting sleep this next week so I'm primed for better choices.6 -

Im surprised about the small lost. Did very good during the week and then yesterday came. Had garlic bread with cheese. I havent indulged the way I did yesterday in about 2 months. Felt ashame to be honest. I'm still believing I will hit the 270s soon.

I am super happy to make this announcement!
The ever wonderful co-captain of Team WeightNoMore has accepted to be Fat2Fit's newest Moderator
Welcome Ashley @minstrelofsarcasm and thank you for your willingness to help out with the work that goes into building our community here and keeping the teams active and successful. As always, the Moderators are there to help all the members from every team whenever there is a problem, a suggestion for something new, a request for changes of any kind. Ashley is an excellent team captain, and will bring all kinds of skills to this new role. Congratulations!
I am also sending a huge amount of gratitude to @Beka3695 for her many years as Moderator. She mentored me when I moved up, and has been a supportive (and fun!) friend. Beka has decided to take a break and stick with her team and family during a busy time. Let's all wish her the best!8 -

A good & more active week. I think the few minutes of yoga stretching after my workouts and a 10 min mediation at night has helped me reduce the urge to manage stress with food. Let’s how next week rolls

Hi guys.
As y’all saw on the prior page, I’m stepping back from the MOD position for a while. I need to take a moment and focus on me… I will stay as captain unless someone wants to step in.
Y’all might remember me posting back in March 1 year of sobriety. Not long after that I had a drink “thinking” I could drink like a normal person. 4 months later I realize I cannot. I have asked for help this time.
Last week was really hard for me. It was dark. Today I exercised for the first time in 2 weeks. It felt good. I am 6 days sober today and starting to feel like ME again!!
Please be patient with me as I figure my stuff out. I am currently drinking from a fire hose with my recovery.
Love you all!!’

Oh…. Sorry, forgot to post before
I came to Florida for the weekend and forgot my scales. I will not be reporting this week.
I noted this on the spreadsheet.4 -
Love you @Beka3695
Feels a bit awkward now though I have finally got my head in the right space after 6 months of injury and pigging out. No specific reason other than (expletives will follow)... 'f**k this s**t, do I want a life or not!'.

@Beka3695 you’re doing great, as in you’re admitting a shortcoming, admitting you need help, seeking out that help, reflecting on your progress and trying to take positive actions like exercising to help you feel better. We care about you! If you need to open up or vent to someone, I’m here (and forced to stay sober for at least 2 more months).
Last night I went to a university-related party to celebrate a friend, and while I’ve been to a similar party dozens of times before (pre-pandemic several times a year for 6 years straight), this was the first time I’ve ever attended fully sober. It was really weird and I felt quite out of place, and I don’t know how much of that was sobriety and how much the generational shift that has happened with all the freshmen that started during the pandemic and showed up in force.
The experience, and the overall crappiness of my physical wellbeing currently, made me think about how I want to live my life post-baby. Two things are for sure: One, I’m done being out of shape, my health needs to be a top priority and I want to feel strong again. Luckily the gym is a 2-minute walk from my house and I’m pretty sure my husband is happy to spend some one-on-one quality time with his daughter so mama can hit the gym. And two, I’m done with hangovers. I might not go fully sober and I still like wine tastings etc., but I’m cutting permanently back on amounts of drinks and focusing on quality and taste experience. During college I did a 4-month version of Dry January where I didn’t quit drinking completely, I just never drank enough to get a hangover. That’s a new permanent goal.5 -

I love this bit, it's really funny
Sometimes one need to step back and really focus on themselves, that does not mean one is weak, it just means that as humans, we and cannot keep on going without taking time to look after ourselves
This is your time to do that - start by taking it daily and before you know it you are up to one week and then months
Good luck - we are really living through trying times

Thank you @Beka3695 for going above and beyond the call of duty fulfilling multiple roles, and also for continuing as the team captain.
It’s clear from your posts that you support and care for many people. It’s wonderful that you are recognizing the importance of self-care, too! Recently, a workout leader said, “Self-care is never selfish,” which really resonated with me. Best wishes in maintaining your sobriety and focusing on becoming your best self.
Also, many thanks to @minstrelofsarcasm for stepping into the moderator position. I appreciate all the time and energy that Fat2Fit group leaders and motivators spend to cultivate members’ success!
Congratulations to all the Shrinking Assets members on a fabulous week. Our group is on TOP of the ‘losing’ leaders’ board!! Everyone is a winner for staying engaged in the process of building healthy habits … and extra loud cheers to 🎉👏👏🎉 @imgwendolyn2015, @partaz, and @chublet25 for your individual success. Great work, team!5 -
Wow, we won highest percentage of weight lost and the most actual weight! Well done, team! And congratulations to imgwendolyn2015 and partaz for their amazing losses this week!4

Food (or drink) for thought to all those struggling with sobriety - I think it applies to weight management as well. I’m following a sobriety instagram account, and I think they made an excellent point: if you end up having a drink, you can go back to being sober and saying no immediately after, and it doesn’t mean you failed and it doesn’t have to affect your sober identity. Same with weight loss - one binge-y meal doesn’t mean the rest of the day or week is wasted and you have to just let it go.5

Small steps…..that’s what gets us there safely.
Counting my blessings this week…..my children, grandchildren, my health and blessing of living where I live. Praying for the people of Afghanistan and all people living in difficult situations.
I will have a new adventure this week: I am flying to San Diego CA to visit my traveling RN daughter. I’ve never flown alone OR been to California. Looking forward to the beach, winerys, Catalina Island and just spending all the time with my girl. Wish me safe travels! Hoping all the Shrinking Assets have a splendid week!6 -
