I'm proud of myself because today I went right on the treadmill when we got home from our short little vacation even though I didn't want to do it. I did it anyway. Pre-UAC I doubt I would have managed it. I didn't track food after Wednesday because I found it too difficult due to the nature of the food we ate. We also didn't get as much walking in as we wanted to because of some inclement weather. From Wed-Fri I got 7.1 mi, 5.9 mi & 4.7 mi in that order. The last two days included a lot of hills so at least it was a more challenging workout.
Today I'm back on track and don't intend to have any additional pass days this month.7 -

Calories over. Likely due to very short night’s sleep & all day fatigue (I eat when tired in misguided lifetime attitude that it will “rev me up.” In fact the only thing that did was a glorious hike with my husband!!
I will eat less tomorrow & am sure I will sleep soundly tonight

❌❌❌My darling daughter, Megan, took Ais and I to dinner tonight. While dining on Greek food (yum!) she mentioned she needed new running shoes. (Because she doesn't know how to say no sometimes and is now the cross-country coach at her school. She's also a soccer coach and a track and field coach, as well as being the department head, union rep, and some other things, along with teaching.) So we stopped at Famous Footwear on the way back to my place and, along with a pair of shoes for herself, she got me an early b-day present of a new pair of running shoes. They're a new brand for me (Asics) as I've used Brooks and most recently Karhu, so we'll see. Both girls laughed at me because I've always had kind of blah colored shoes and this time they are very colorful and I was grinning like crazy as I tried them on and walked around in them. I was wearing a mask, but my eyes tend to crinkle up so you can barely see them when I'm grinning, so it's not hard to tell. Anyways, it may not be tomorrow, given the current time, but soon, maybe next weekend, I'll see if I can still "run." 😄7 -
Walking for exercise and with the dog.
Working all week and now also working the weekend so I came home from work and took a much needed nap. I was happy to get on track after yesterday's pass day. I was also happy about taking a nap as opposed to eating to make myself feel better.7 -

Exercise: Yes, full body stretch warm up, cycle 45 min, cool down ride, post ride stretch, walk 12,913 steps. Trying to get my walking back to a routine. I just have to keep reminding myself - small bites of the elephant! I just feel so good, finally feel remission taking hold. I’m plotting on how to sneak out off the property, away from my husband’s watchful eyes, so I can do all the things. Small bites … small bites…
