I'm not carrying this over, this is actually the same number I got this morning, like exact, lol. We had yet another heat wave over the weekend - nice and cool now and I love it - but staying hydrated and quite honestly not really counting, I'm cool with this. So yay!3 -

Hi guys! Wanted to check in.
I’m slowly getting back in the swing of dealing with my weight/fitness. I met a friend for a vent walk Monday. It was quite nice. We are meeting again tonight. I have really been slacking with my logging. Ive eaten little today so about to log and try to get that back as a habit.
I tossed all my efforts toward recovery and allowed myself to not worry about the rest for now going on 2 weeks. Time to wrap my head back around this.
I will post a weigh in this week and it will likely be up… but I’m facing the music and moving forward.
On a positive note…. I am feeling more like “me” than I have in MONTHS!!! I was in a dark place last week, but I’m now seeing things come together in a good way. Thank you for all the love and support y’all have shown!11 -
@Beka3695 Sending prayers your way! It takes courage to face those demons. You got this!!

It's been really busy lately, but I've kept up my exercise and logging. I'm eating on a different schedule some days which bounces my weight in funny ways. Still, overall it was a good week. Heading to TN to see my son. I'm so excited. While I'll continue to track, I will do my best to eat under my maintenance calorie levels instead of my deficit levels. Hoping to weigh the same when I return.6 -
I joined an exercise group and we get together for 30 minutes every morning (7:00 - 7:30 am). I hope this helps to move the needle.4

No real difference this week. I was helping my son move back to his college dorm so I ate too many quick ‘drive through’ meals while on the road. I tried to make good choices but just managed to maintain my calorie level. Thanks for your patience with my slow progress.3 -
So glad you are feeling better @Beka3695 !!2

Will definitely get my steps today as I am flying from KC to San Diego to visit my daughter and walking in the airports is surely racking up some steps! I love to people watch in the airports!…..my first time flying alone…….I know…I know…..I’m a sheltered fly over state person! 🤪……Again I feel blessed to be doing this trip and hope I don’t over indulge in food/drinks. Wish me luck! Remember to enjoy the little things! ❣️4

How are we all getting on. The summer is a great chance for getting out - do we have any antipodeans here?

So sorry - please make me inactive or whatever works so you aren't expecting a weekly report from me.
Life is just too complicated right now. I am trying to eat better but the scales is not my friend right now. I know I need to attend to my needs but right now my focus needs to be as caregiver to my aunt and getting her back to a place where she can live independently or it's time for the next step. Just too much happening and I can't add tracking, weighing, and my stuff to that list. Right now, life is not about me.
Sorry for dropping out - hope to be back.8 -

Take one day at a time because that it the only way you are going to cope - it's really is a rough time
Life is so screwed up right now and it is not going to get any better any time soon
Time is moving really fast, but it's like we as humans are stuck in a time warp, without understanding how we are going to get out of it
I was saying to a friend the other day that I can see us being in the same situation this time next year.
I told her the same thing in 2020 - 2021 will not bring any changes to us and 2020 will be the same
The earliest I can see any change maybe 2023 going into 2024

I'm grateful to be closer to 200 than 300.

Saturday: Barre class in the park; then beirgarten in the park after starting @ 12; BBQ later afternoon
Sunday: barre class then working in my garden
Trying to get in as much summer as possible in SE Wisconsin 😎2 -
@TheMrWobbly - Tonight, my son is finishing up the last class for his summer session of college. So, I cooked dinner for him before he headed out for a walk to clear his head as he transitions to one week of holiday before moving into the dorm for the Fall semester.
I’m ‘competing’ in a very informal rowing race Saturday morning. There will be three rounds, including the final. I don’t usually enter races, because I belong to a more recreational group, but some people took a ‘learn-to-row’ class this summer and the coach is organizing the race to cap the session. So, I’m really just filling a seat in the 8-person ‘sweep’ she’ll. However, they put me in the seat that sets the pace (#8 ‘stroke’ seat) so now I feel responsible for the mix of newbies and more experienced rowers to do well in the race. I also have a personal training session planned with my husband but it’s just 30 minutes so that shouldn’t be too painful … I hope.
On Sunday, I have a different type of rowing class I’m taking to get better at using an individual scull (with two oars). As mentioned above, I typically row in the 8-person ‘sweep’ boat with a coxswain helping to steer around any debris or other water hazards. So, this is new to me! I feel fortunate for the opportunity to continue my rowing hobby through the isolation of the pandemic. COVID encouraged us to keep our distance in individual boats, so sculling has been a great way to get outdoors, while (somewhat) interacting in a social setting, staying (somewhat) sane through the stress relief, and (somewhat) fit from the exercise!
My masters (AKA - old people) soccer league has casual pickup games during the summer but I haven’t been going. The optional games end in August so I probably should join them once before the ‘official’ season opens in September, but I’m sure I’ll find the energy this weekend. We’ll see … With all this exercise, I’ll probably have enough calorie reserves to indulge in a hearty brunch or something. Tonight, my husband wanted me to go to the local Barkhaus, which is a kind of pub with a dog play area and agility course, but I needed to go grocery shopping and wanted to cook something for my son. So, maybe we’ll go there tomorrow.
I’m going to try to find some time to declutter my house - and I might do a little work - but probably not 😬. Damn, I’m getting a bit tired reading this! I have to be at the boathouse before 7:00am so I better get to bed 😴 … I’ll soon be dreaming about winning our races tomorrow morning.🏆5 -

Almost there!!!! The week went well. My biggest NSF of the week was scheduling an appointment with my PCP for the yearly physical. Haven't gone in a few years because I did not want to face it. My portion control is getting better as well. PT is going well and will be able to go on morning walks again soon.
Have a good day!6 -

I have asked the MODS to move you to support. This will allow you to come back to the discussion any time you would like. You can rejoin at the start of any month. Just let us know!!’1 -

@TheMrWobbly - I just wanted to send a quick update on the weekend races. We won all three races! At first, I was a little nervous letting the group know about the competition - in case we didn’t perform well - but I decided ‘showing up’ is more important than the outcome. So, loud cheers for everyone who participated in something and gave it their all this week. Go get those goals, ShrinkingAssets!5

There seems to be a lot of us struggling or moving to support squad for various personal reasons. Just wanted to say it out loud: it’s OK, life is not something that gets paused while we work on weight loss. Life is here, every day, every moment, and takes different turns.
With that, my weekend plans: intensive napping and watching sports. Some old members might remember my excitement over the annual orienteering race Jukola relay, it’s happening again this weekend after being postponed twice, so it’s the first event since 2019. This year it’s in Lapland and I would have loved to be there in person, but there’s no way I could sit in the car for 12 hours there and 12 hours back, sleep in a tent and take the covid risk with this baby bump. The weather is also, well, interesting - the race was planned for a week before summer solstice, the time it’s traditionally held, and in Lapland the sun shines through the night that time of year. The race was postponed to this weekend, and now it’s already dark for most of the night, so it’s a very different sport. It’s also cold and rainy. I have plenty of friends and family up there and I’ve been napping all day so I can stay up to watch the start at 11PM, the relay is going to take all night.
In other news, I have only 4 more weeks of work left, and next week marks my 8th month of pregnancy!4 -
I was horseback riding Thursday and my legs still have sore spots. So I need to do some yoga this weekend. Other than that, it's a quiet time in my quiet life. I just finished reading The Time Traveler's Wife. An excellent book! It reads more like romance than sci-fi.2

Me and you both - I have not walked since May or thereabouts and I really missed it. Too hot, so I have been using my elliptical, but it's not the same as walking and enjoying nature
I find walking very therapeutic and just relaxes my mind, body and soul
I usually talk out my problems to myself, go over recipes and make up new ones, admire the birds/squirrels and just plan out things in my head. It's my wonder drug4 -
