Nice surprise on the scale this morning. My weight was 198.6 compared to my official weight yesterday of 201.4. The bloat is gone and so is the funky stomach I had for a couple of days.
My absolutely nothing weekend has turned into a doing something. My oldest granddaughter has asked me to take her to the movies tonight. I am staying out of the pool to allow the cortisone to work in my shoulder.
I am off to grocery shop early. Have a great start to the weekend.

Good morning everyone! Sorry I've haven't been posting much this past week. Work was super intense, I was covering for my boss who was out on vacation and a number of issues exploded, so I was juggling two jobs and trying to put out fires left and right. I did "okay" with my eating, stayed keto but didn't track things 100%. I exercised a bit, not as much as wanted, but better than nothing. I'm looking forward to doing a longer run today and hopefully I'll more on track with tracking next week. I can't believe we are at the tail end of October!1

@Beautyofdreams thank you very much for that. I wrote it down and will be investigating after my exercise.1

I'm not baking this weekend, but I did last weekend and made keto cheesecake and it was sooo good! I made the crust-less recipe from Low Carb Yum, because whenever I try making a keto cheesecake crust I'm always disappointed. It's the fluffy rich filling that's the best part anyways!1 -

I haven’t been doing well in this area. One big thing I used to do was diamond art. It really distracted me. I think I will order some. Other things I could work on a puzzle or read. All these things take concentration so it should distract from eating.
Diamond art sounds interesting! I'd love to learn more about that! I'm a big fan of puzzles and reading but would love to be more artsy/crafty... I drew a lot when I was young, but I've lost touch with my creative side as an adult.1 -

This weekend we're going to the zoo on Saturday and Mom's for Sunday dinner and swim.
Monday is going to be a challenge for me and my toddler. I have to bring a sample to a dr 1.5 hours away in the morning (3 hours round trip!) That's too much to ask of my 2 year old, so we're going to hit the children's museum down that way. We'll drive back at nap time, and hopefully she sleeps well because it's straight to her gymnastics class. The home in time to make dinner etc.
It's doable, it's just also pretty dependant on how well she tolerates the drive/her mood.
I'm still not tracking and it seems to be going okay! Obviously being mindful.
Laura, nice job on your weight loss this past week, almost 2 pounds! Have a fun weekend and good luck on Monday! I remember those early years trying to time naps and outings, it's a real challenge!2 -

Nice loss! Sounds like you had a busy week. Diamond art is an easy way to be creative without having a lot of talent. A friend of mine did quite a few during lockdown and has framed them and decorated her walls with them. I haven’t framed any of mine yet. They are fairly cheap on Amazon and they have a good selection.3 -

Switzerland, sounds like a very awesome place to go. I would like to go there or
Scotland, because some of my family on my dad side came from there.2 -

Not really sure what's going on with weigh in. Maybe because TOM is ending? Or the big losses of the last two weeks catching up with me? Hopefully next week will be better.
Yesterday we went to the zoo for an impromptu visit. We just stayed a couple hours and let my son decide what we saw. He did a good job making our plan and we had a blast. Tomorrow we will go to a trunk or treat at the church and the kids are very excited.4 -

I’m honestly not putting a lot of stock in that number because I’ve seen it fluctuate too many times. I don’t want to say I’m getting discouraged, but I am frustrated.
I do still track my NSVs. As I’ve said so many times, overall, I am less than where I started at 179.6. At least there’s that.
I try to get my daily steps in. I’m not always successful because I get bogged down during work, and am not able to take my walks. Though, the weather has been nice for a few days, and I did take the dog for a walk. She hasn’t had a walk in awhile, and she loved it. It was good for me, too.
I just need to get myself back in gear.

I think you added an extra 100 onto your weight. I would love to go to the zoo but it is 2 hours away. Great way to get steps!
@red1185
Do you weigh daily? Try using an app like happy scale to track your weigh and pay attention to the moving average. I use happy scale.
@rwood566
Awesome steps! Hallowe’en at the zoo sounds interesting.
@Bluetail6
Is the calorie burn from your intensity minutes? Lots of minutes today!

Hey guys! Had a day yesterday where I just could not say no to eating all the things. I don't know why I was a bottomless pit. I did start lifting again this week and this morning the scale showed both a 4# gain in 24 hrs I know it is water but so scary to see numbers go up so drastically. Apologizing in advance if I can't get it down before Tuesday weigh in. I did enjoy myself but I just don't know why I was so hungry. I am also in a baking mood. I want to bake all the things too and I know that is dangerous. Maybe the bear in me is feeling the weather changes. I am just going to keep a watch on this big time.5

Not such a great eating day but I did track everything. There was just too many high calorie choices. The movie was good last night. I didn’t have popcorn just a club soda.
I am off to the pool but I am not going as long as I usually do. We went to the late movie and it was 2:30 am before I got to bed. I am super tired today.
Happy Sunday!
