Well, I've started lifting my three pound weights every day.
So maybe I'll avoid the Zombie apocalypse afterall...
    ...but maybe not, cuz I'm gonna be living dead for Halloween;
either as a Dia de Los Muertos ghost or a voodoo doll.
    Good luck tomorrow, Shelley!!!!!

Chris and Paula I am so over this testing process. I don't think I would have but for my friend. I don't think she would have tested again if I didn't. I just want to soak in the hottub tonight. Thanks both of you.

Paula you crack me up. What are you going to do with them 3 pound weights? Put them in a sock and brain them zombies back to blah blah blah......LOL

Chris your trainer is going to be so excited that you came up with a way to get past the 15 pound ones. And now you won't worry. You will just DO.

Well a few last moments of study now.

Okay, Kathy...here's the plan...fill you water jug and carry it around with you all day long. Plan on drinking at least two of the jugs of water.

Dump ALL trigger foods...junk food...tempting treats in the garbage...dump coffee grains on top of it all...take the trash bag to the garbage can outside.

Next cut up celery, carrots, bell peppers, etc...place in containers and refrigerate. This is what you have when the urge to eat hits you...BUT...only after you ask yourself...AM I REALLY HUNGRY? Drink 10 slugs of your water BEFORE you go to the fridge for your veggies.

Pop a bag of low salt/no salt popcorn. Place the popped corn in a pretty bowl on your table. Sit down. Eat only on popped corn at a time...ONE AT A TIME.

Next...Put a sign on your fridge...AM I REALLY HUNGRY OR JUST FEEDING THE STRESS MONSTER?

This is me yelling...YOU CAN DO THIS, KATHY!! WE LOVE YOU!!
    ..............................................signed...Your Gang!!!

Hey...Make that^^^^^ a sign and put it on your fridge too!!!!!

Chris I love the plan you made up for Kathy. I am so borrowing it Kathy.

Kathy I feel your pain. I am over 150. :( I have not been this high in years. It is horrible for me. And I love how Chris said to dump coffee grounds on it once it is in the garbage. Like she just knew we would be tempted to get it back out. Oh my, however does she know that?

Chris did your trainer/friend like the increment weights? Have you used them?

I am so glad the test is done. I scored the second highest. My friend and partner Angie had the highest score. Girl Power.

Shelley, that's pretty much my plan, too. I have had to do the coffee ground trick a number of times over all the years I've struggled with my weight. I have had to unwrap soooo many pieces of peppermint and dump them in the trash then coffee ground them because just tossing wrapped pieces didn't always work. Think about the 'Midnight Sneaky Trash Robber" and you'll understand.

This is so funny...got my increment weights Tuesday and was going to take them to my trainer on Wednesday for my workout...got a text from her Tuesday evening that her sweet husband surprised her with a surprise getaway!! She's been down in San Diego all week. I'll take them in on Monday. :D

I am so happy and so proud of you for acing your test!! What is the next step?

Got 5.71 miles done in 100 mins this afternoon. Rained this morning (that really means 'Sprinkled this morning') so I went to the grocery store then walked after Ronan was picked up. Beautiful afternoon!!

    Later, my friends.

Chris the plan is for her to make corporal. We have tough competition. The oral boards are Tuesday. And 2 of the guys we are up against have military experience and have done lots of oral boards. So I am going to try and critique her doing them. Help her practice. I so do not want the position. I had fun scoring higher than them on the written. Bunch of smarty pants. I want to retire in a few years. Not stick around to pad my retirement.

Did you get authorization from the judge to change your name, Shelkey? :o

I love that you scored higher than the the smarty pants!! Let us know how the orals go.

I did 6.07 miles today in 108 mins. I had to force myself out the door...glad I did because it looks like rain alllllll day tomorrow. Maybe...we'll see.

    Going to read now.

S'posed to be a Cat 3 storm tomorrow, Chris. Hunkering down weather.

Danced today. My heart wasn't in it. Will pump tine 3# weights later. They do the job.

Didn't get to workout yesterday, but certainly ran around a lot. Bella had an ultrasound....she may have an ovarian cyst. Very painful....then sadly she got sick a few times....

I'm toying with going to church in person today. We have done virtual since COVID....haven't been able to long in for a few months with a lot going on. This is the 60th anniversary of our Fellowship and should be pretty special. Hope I can make it!

No walking for me today. Being a wimp. We used to walk in the rain...back in the day. :D It's really windy, too. Tuesday...I'll walk on Tuesday...maybe.

Paula, how's your weather down there?

Karen...yeah, soup. I was thinking about making some. We'll see.

No soup here. Just a sandwich. But I did see something interesting. Dads on Duty! Restoring order to their children's school. I hope it works for the long term. I keep hearing people saying parents need to be more involved. I am wishing them all the best of luck.

Yesterday was family and friends day. Today was pups day. Walked the dogs. Then biked for 5 miles with Libby. It is getting late and I still have to change water in the tanks.

Paula take care. I like a good rain but nothing like that.

    Hi all,

I'm at the bottom end of this "worse storm in four years" - so even with sheets of water coming down and wind blowing it sideways, it's still not too bad.

It's much more intense where Chris lives. @cpanus Hope you're holed up, dry and safe. <3

It's tempting to get bundled up and let the rain buffet my senses. But the indoors has my wildside wrapped in a warm cozy glow and lulled into submission.

No walking yesterday due to Paula's picture!! :D Going to meet up with my trainer at noon today. Might go a couple miles when I get home...depending...dun...dun...dun...on Paula's picture. :o

It's SIL's b'day today. We are going over for dinner and dessert. I already decided it was a "fall off the wagon" day. Trying Justin's Classic Peanut Butter. Doesn't measure up to Adam's PB....Justin's has palm oil. Adam's has salt. I wonder if that is the difference in taste. Graham crackers help a little. >:)

Stay safe ladies! Looks like a massive storm!

I feel rather sluggish today ;( I did go for a 30 min walk...but not great energy. Hope it improves.

It's all quiet on the western coast today, newly scoured, bright and sunny. I feel like Noah after the storm. It's only lacking a humongous rainbow across the sky promising peace and recovery; but auspicious nonetheless. <3

Chris, enjoy your walk in this newly cleansed world.

    Best wishes everyone.
