Pass day number 2.
I was sick so I didn't do any exercise or tracked my intake since I couldn't really be bothered to measure everything, my bed was calling out to me and I didn't want to spend more time in the kitchen than necessary (though thanks to nausea it's safe to say I didn't eat enough).6 -

✅ Exercise: 70 minutes of swimming
✅ Tracked
Calories: Was a fail. Pass day. 174 calories over for trying a new recipe for Creamy Tuscan Chicken for supper tonight and not logging it first-- should have anticipated a recipe with cup of cream and 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese can wreck a diet plan fast. It tasted really good but even my husband agreed the recipe is not healthy enough to save.

Back on track. Feeling quite a bit better from being sick, but not all the way. But -
Exercise - 20 minutes walking with my daughter at the park as she practiced hoverboarding
Tracking - Planned the day, adjusted the plan. Lots of bone broth and fewer veggies, no dairy, but otherwise back to eating regular food.
Calories - Under
Weighed in this morning and am gaining back the pounds that flew off with my illness. Makes me a bit sad. I'd like to get to keep just 1/2 a pound from my ordeal? But if I have to gain it all back to function again, I am ok with that. I'll lose it the proper way soon enough.
I have to be a curmudgeon and say I don't like today's message of positivity. I am big believer in feeling my feelings when I feel them. I find that if I take the time to feel them rather than push them away, I get through them faster.3 -
@Chinkiri - my heart goes out to you. Alzheimer’s is a horrible disease because it robs us of the people we know and love even though they’re physically still here. They exist, but they’re not the same person. That angry/stubborn phase is probably the worst. When my father in law was diagnosed with onset Alzheimer’s, I remember him sitting there crying because he knew what the future was, not just for himself, but for my mother in law as well. I’m glad you’ve reached a way of coping.
Reverse psychology: 3/13 although I might have lost track of the days. I’ll have to go back and check.2 -

Tracking? Yes
Calories? Off the chart.
I had a lovely afternoon. I met with several friends at a local restaurant we were considering as a venue for a reunion happy hour. We ate, we schmoozed, we checked out the space. And after most of the others left, one of my dear friends from way back stayed and we moved to a couple of chairs in the patio area and just talked for almost two more hours. (She and I not only attended jr high and high school together, we also went to Sunday school and Hebrew school. We were Bat Mitzvahed together since we turned 13 a couple of months apart and neither of us came from families with the wherewithal to put on the fancy shindig. That celebration happened 50 years ago this past September...... Good lord, when did we get this old?)6 -
I am checking in to record several pass days in a row having been on vacation. It was a good trip and I ate moderately with some splurges. A definite improvement over past travels.
I appreciated the intro post.
And @Jana_2020 , I completely relate your post.

@Lilinchen92 <> I hope you feel better soon.
@ideas2 <> No worries. You still have one pass day left
@_JeffreyD_ <> my intuition isn't very accurate when it come to food portions 😂
@tahm42 <> You still have 2 pass days left, so no stress 😎
@bookieNJ <> At least you still posted
@seilidhe <> Social events are difficult to negotiate. Throw in nostalgia for our youth and we are lost 😂
@znaoiec <> hope you had a great vacation
👍🏻 Bravo for 3 x yes
@Caroline_slowandsteady <> I understand what you are saying. Everyone is different and has their own way of dealing with emotions.
@DebyS137
For me, positivity isn't about repressing emotions. It's more about the choices I make. What works for me is acknowledging the validity of my emotions, but choosing not to let them escalate, and control my state of mind. It's a habit I have developed over many years.
