I need a laugh button for you guys. So often I want to just laugh, but no button for that. Just Inspiring, Insightful, like, hug and the all retched disagree.
Paula I am so sorry you wild side had to stay indoors. I would rather have photos of you braving the storms water and winds. And then telling me how you curled up with a towel, robe and a good book afterwards. I know you could do it.
Chris that was a really nasty looking storm. I think you could have tied a rope around you and made like a kite. Just kidding.
Karen just doing something when you feel like that is great. And improves your mood.
I did a little cardio to a YouTube video this morning. Need to keep doing it to improve. Went to a friends Birthday party this weekend. They were talking about a gal who might be needing a home for an almost 2 year old shihtzu. I asked why. Said the dog was brought here for breeding and then the couple who owns the dog supposedly are breaking up and don't want it back. I said to keep me updated. If it is a sweet dog I could sure use a friend for Barney. An active friend for him to play with. Libby is a diva. Joey is mostly blind and does not want to. I need a hole in my head most days.

Shelley - awe...might be exciting for have a new pup!
Karen1 -
I did 20 minutes with my three pound weights today. Started out just doing curls as usual, but it felt really good so I added rows, presses, etc.
- Feeling the burn with five minutes at three pounds might be super wimpy, but any start was a good start.
- Twenty minutes today was even better.
- And that "keep going feeling cuz it feels so good" adrenaline high is the best.

Shelley...do you realize that we have been on MFP for over nine years? I'm pretty sure we hooked up right after I started posting...do you remember how we got together??
I hope you get the pup...I hope Barney gets a new friend.
Must go to the grocery store now. Back later.
Chris1 -
Chris I do. I have posted late many times. I stay up past midnight and get busy. So mine does not show the actual days I have been here. And yes. We were the last 2 women standing. And wanted to keep it going. And here we are. But 9 years. Wow, that I had not figured out.
And thanks everyone. Barney needs a friend to run and play with.
Paula so glad to hear you are getting the weight lifting itch again.

Shelley,
Do you know how important you have been to me?
We met in some kind of challenge "cut out sugar for 90 days or something? And I said something stupid about working out; and you started giving me guidance. And then you invited me to your group. My surgery was Mid-2013; so it was probably that December.
I had no idea how to do weights. You taught me everything and designed personalized workouts to fit my needs and capabilities and get me going. And it worked.paula

Paula that is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. You make me cry tears of joy. You mean the world to me also. Thanks so much.
All of you mean so much to me. Paula says it so much better than I.
I got up early this morning and did a little cardio cize and then some kettlebell swings and gunslinger. Finished up with some basic yoga stretching for the back. So glad I did it.

What a beautiful bunch of supportive women you all are...
❤

I've had zero emergy...working too much. But did walk 30 mins after dinner. Beautiful and cool out.
Karen1 -
Karen, you are a part of our beautiful bunch of supportive women, you know!!! We are such a great team!
I got 60 mins w/my trainer done this afternoon. It was a good workout. I was thinking about doing two miles after Ronan was picked up this afternoon, but our cold October turned into beautiful summer mid-day!! I'll get out there tomorrow morning.
Have a great Wednesday, my friends!
Chris2 -
Karen, what Chris said. You are part of our team also.
Working out tonight with Kaeldra again. Weight lifting. Took Libby for a bike ride yesterday. It was cold and blustery. But enjoyed it all the same.

I’m home. St. Simon’s Island really helped as did time with Ron. I’m hoping to start the month with a good attitude and stop whining and get with it. I see I missed a lot and will catch up on the posts.
Unfortunately while we were away Ron’s brother had two mini strokes and is in the hospital. Ron caught a flight home yesterday as soon as we returned. His brother lives with their mom and takes care of her. So Ron is going to get help until his brother recovers and probably keep whoever he gets so his brother is not over stressed.
Mom and dad are doing well.
Pray you all are well.
Kathy
***I didn’t realize I was early on posting October final weight. This is the edit. BTW Ron’s brother is home and he realizes the strokes were a warning. Hopefully going back to the gym when he gets the okay. Ron gave him a membership to PF for Christmas two years ago and he still pays for it for him. This month has been a warning for me for sure. ****

Kathy sending you and Ron hugs. Such stressful times. I am sending prayers their way.
Shelley0 -
Kathy, sending good thought for you and Ron. I hope everything works out.

6.37 miles done in 112 mins this morning. It was beautiful outside.
I had a bit of a hard time at the park where I do a bunch of 1/2 mile laps. There are baseball fields for the kids. The parents usually set their chairs up on the grass by the third base line. This morning they did not do that!!! They all were sitting on the walking path! EGADS! there were so many people!! I only did one lap and then headed out, so I had to figure out how to get all the distance I needed going a new way. Then in the middle of everything, I hit the wrong button on my app and ended my walk. UGH! Good thing I had two apps going!
Chris1 -
Kathy,
I hope the mini-strokes are just a caution and nothing more. And that Ron's brother is up and better soon.
It is so loving of Ron to take precautions to help his mom's care and reduce his brother's stress. Ron feels very special.
...plus, he waved to us.
Warmth and best wishes,

Kathy - sending prayers to you and Ron....so much weighing heavy on you 🙏
I got the COVID booster shot on Friday...the Moderna. I have my first work trip in 2 weeks (to Canada) and having had the J&J shot...I've always been a bit nervous about it. Minor symptoms....sore arms and tired yesterday so I didn't overdo it, and hydrated a ton with Liquid IV..feel fine today. Glad to have the booster.
I mowed the lawn for exercise this morning
Waiting for Belle to finish her French homework so we can carve pumpkins and roast the seeds. Grateful that Bella has found 2 friends to go trick or treating with. She's had a tough friend year....she she ❤ Halloween 🎃.
Karen1 -
Happy Halloween, ladies!!!
Chris0 -
Happy Halloween!

Karen love the photo. Thanks for sharing. Bella is sure to have fun.
Chris how inconsiderate of them. Glad you kept going.
Night all
Shell0 -
Chris,
I hope you kept on the walking path and very carefully stepped over and around the parents, managing to avoid most toes and fingers and not tripping or landing on anyone. I'm sure they would appreciate how considerate you were.
Paula1 -
I must stay out of the Halloween candy lol! Luckily the pieces are small
Karen1 -
I should have taken a picture of the crowd. I didn't trip on anyone and just hoped they were breathing on each other and not in my direction. Jerks.
Karen, I couldn't wait until Ronan got back here after they went trick or treating around our neighborhood...I was going to confiscate all his butterfingers...yummmmm...then...dun...dun...dun...they got back and THERE WERE NO BUTTERFINGERS TO BE FOUND IN ALL HIS TREASURES!!! I couldn't believe there were none! sniff...nonenone
