Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

Every morning I wake up and walk to the bathroom mirror still half asleep i catch a glimpse of my arms and I literally have to double take. How are these my arms I wonder? I was always extremely ashamed of my arms however this is no longer the case. Still looking in the mirror I work my way to my collarbone which for the first time in my life has only just become visible and I say to myself OMG Donna you can actually see your collarbone! Lastly finding an outfit for the day use to take me such a long time as I always felt so bloated but after loosing just the very first kilo my confidence began to grow and now getting ready takes no time at all.
I noticed all of these changes very early on in my weight loss journey and it was and still is what has kept me going through times that I have plateaued. The novelty still has not worn off and I am hoping that it never does. We are all at different stages of our journey, some of us are starting out, others half way through and others at maintenance however I am sure just like me you all have noticed changes to the way you look and feel. What changes have you noticed in the way you look and feel since embarking on your journey? Now is not the time to be shy or modest my friends! So lets get our brag on!

Exercise: Yes (30 minute dog walk)
Calories under: Yes
Tracked all: Yes
(1/3 pass days used)
Nothing to brag about yet regarding above question. Maybe in another few months....
@davert123 Thanks for the YouTube tip. I do actually have a home gym thing happening since lockdown first started last year. I use Les Mills On Demand classes and have weights, Spin Bike etc. It was more that it was late and I had showered and there was no coming back from it that time around. But - yes - options are there usually.4 -
I have noticed many changes not just my weight but my overall perspective of myself. I have always been a confident person but today that characteristic is stronger. I don’t randomly eat food I think about it as fuel for my body and I have learned to like the high octane food!! Like @donna25trinity said change is amazing so here is my before and after pics I do hope they change even more.

I kept some of my pants and shirts I wore to the office from when I was at my thinnest back in 2016 towards the end of my running peak. They are too big now! I'm in the same weight range as then, but about 2-4 inches thinner for waist size (estimate from pants size and fit). That was a pleasant surprise when I pulled them out searching for clothes that fit for the "return to office" mandate this year.10

I'll pre-log it since this is planned...
November 6
❌ - Exercise
❌ - Under on calories
✅ - Tracked
If tracking goes wrong I will update later.
My calories are going to be a little over maintenance for the next week, except maybe Monday, the day of surgery, due to possibly not getting to eat much at all that day. So starting that now to aid healing and have a little extra going in just ahead of that day.
Exercise will be on hold for a few days afterwards, and only on hold today and tomorrow since it's the first 48 hours when muscle tissue is heavily repairing (and you feel DOMS). The idea being to have my body direct the most healing energy to the post-op repairs.
I'm quite comfortable with this approach and don't mind chalking them up as pass days at all.14 -
Your surgery prep sounds very smart @WhatMeRunning .. best wishes for a smooth day on Monday.
Physically, I am in the smallest clothes I've been in for a long while. Most clothes are dropping off me or tight things fit well now. My face looks less puffy, my rings fit better, and I am noticing the muscle definition in my arms and legs.
I have definitely shrunk some cup sizes and need new bras...
Much slimmer in the waist area but this is the spot that is the last to make big progress on me.7 -
Hello everyone. We go to visit our son & his family every Thanksgiving (except last year, but I want to just skip that whole year), and will happily be going again this year. I'll probably have passes that week because me, my husband, and my son all love to cook, especially together. I'm the only one who has a 'weight' issue, so the calories are never counted. I will try and modify but will enjoy the week. Tonight we are having a Thanksgiving-type dinner with my daughter and her family. I figured I was going to pass but then decided to keep it all healthy since I was in control. I am not making gravy, or mashed potatoes, or my yummy Parker House Rolls. Instead, I am reducing the turkey juices, having a veggie and 2 salads, made a 10 Grain Tyrolean bread, and for dessert, I made angel food cake cupcakes. I'll serve a Natilla custard and lemon curd on the side. I've counted 1 cupcake (I put the recipe in my MFP so I can have it other days), and 1 tablespoon of curd. I'll skip the custard. I've closely watched breakfast and lunch leaving me good to go tonight.
Exercise: 1 hr on the treadmill (and a lot of walking while baking & cooking)
Calories: just under
Tracked: Yes11 -

Awww how amazing is that @ashleycarole86 all these changes must be a constant reminder to keep u on track. I love the loose ring feeling as u dnt even need to look in the mirror to be reminded on how far u have come! Xo4 -

Sounds like u hve put a great deal of thought into the best way to support optimal healing! Good luck with it all. Xo5 -

Have to take a pass day today. We went to an amazing greenhouse style restaurant. They only do a 4/5 course set menu. It was all lovely and light with lots of fresh veg done in ways that were difficult to identify. Everything was in Dutch… I wouldn’t even know where to begin to count/track calories.
I walked 8 miles! 19,000 steps.
2 passed days used so far.12 -

Well I am on the correct date now I posted early the other day lol!! Everyone seems to be planning ahead it does make life easier. I tracked and logged. Trying to incorporate some dark chocolate each day it’s a challenge for me to have a small piece so I bought a higher cocoa percentage it’s a little bitter so that should keep me to the serving size. Managed some spin and flexibility work today and at this point just a few hundred short of 10,000 steps4

Exercise? Yes, bike ride and cardio workouts
Tracked? Yes, every BLT
Calories? Yes, well under.
In July 2018 I had a healthcheck and was told I was obese - BMI 30.2 so only just over the borderline but my waist measurement was shocking! – I’m only 154 cm (just over 5’) so my goal for my waist was to be under 77cm (30”). It took a long time as I’m not a natural hour-glass shape, but eventually got there. That was a real NSV! It’s great not having to wear elasticated waist trousers and skirts. It’s also great being able to wear nice gym leggings.
Unfortunately, my arthritis means I’m not as sprightly as I would have hoped after losing nearly 1/3rd of my bodyweight, but I’m sure I would be worse if I was still carrying that 22.5 kg. At least I can play with my grandchildren.

Bragging: I've always loved my body no matter what size but seeing how much stronger it looks from weight training, feels extra fabulous7 -
@WhatMeRunning Solid plan Chris in preparation for Monday. Keeping you in my thoughts as you prepare and will be thinking of you as you heal well. I loved your insight about return to work clothes. Yes — the same scale weight really does manifest differently on someone who has long term fitness. Good for you!!! 🥰5

@taurie What an tremendous step count for the day!!!! 🏆 Your meal out sounds like it was a really lovely treat and I just love having meals that are healthy and delicious and perhaps a bit mysterious. We’re you at a greenhouse or in the little cocoon greenhouse huts we keep hearing about that are being used in places in the Netherlands? 🥰 Julie3
