In case you haven't stopped to read the NSV's from this group on Day 15, you really need to go there and read them ASAP! As always, this group has several good NSV's, but my personal favorite so far is Julie's post about her large (larger!) pants 'falling down' ... This one really make me laugh out loud!jamcnewman wrote: »November 15
✅✅✅ posting early, but expect this outcome based on the day so far. Will come back to post any change to this.
Oh how I laughed at your NSV @Mrs_Hoffer (and echoed by @ashleycarole86 @biketheworld @enlightenme3 @TerriRichardson112 ) because this is me! Last month I had to head straight to my weigh-in at the doctor’s in the clothes that I was wearing (imagine! 😜). I had a summer “weigh-in” outfit that I would normally change into but there were three car accidents and construction en route to do so — so it was straight to my doctor’s office. I had already called to report my delayed. I will report my NSV when this is no longer an issue for me. 🙃
My NSV is similar to what I reported last month this time —clothes that are too big now. But did I take heed last month? 🙈 Instead I kept wearing them. 🤦🏼♀️ Then struggled with my toasty warm elasticized waist pants falling down MULTIPLE times on my walk with Beau a few days ago. I was cursing myself during the walk for thinking I could keep wearing them. The only thing that saved my dignity was the mid shin length down-filled coat that I was wearing. Oh the feeling of a down jacket on your bare bum (as they took the too loose underpants down with them). Needless to say, I have NOW cleared my underwear and pants drawers of such dangerous items.
Victory! ✌️

LOL yes @jamcnewman this post made me laugh too and my husband and I are experiencing similar issues in our home. I am permanently walking around wearing baggy clothes these days it seems. As @MadisonMolly2017 suggested, time to get ourselves some new tighter fitting clothes
By the way, how did your visit with your dietician/doc go? Hanging on the edge of my seat...

Thanks @Mrs_Hoffer & @ashleycarole86 — if we can’t laugh at ourselves where would we be? 😂😂🤣 My husband (the saint) does all the laundry and has been instructed to put ALL my pants in the dryer. I guess that is a NSV for him too 😊
Happy to report that there is a real reason for the pants being even looser this month — down another 6.6 pounds for a total of 35 pounds GONE since I started on this journey July 1, 2021. 🥰14 -

I actually tracked everything today. 🙌8 -
Exercise: Tracking: Calories:
I have gradually transitioned to weighing more and more items, rather than just measuring them or using the generic size equivalent with fruit. One thing that I eat nearly every day, but had still been measuring, is oatmeal. Well, what an unpleasant surprise when I weighed it this morning The 150 calorie/40 gm serving size is NOT a half cup, but considerably less.9 -

Finished organizing the craft area and have lots of empty bins. Still have the scrap booking stuff to go through. But I may just finish Christmas craft I found in this process 😃. I am feeling so good about the changes I am making in the house. I even emptied the catch all cabinet that housed everything that did not have a place.9 -

✅ Exercise - 1 hour Jazzercise.
✅ Calories - Salad for lunch and soup for dinner again. Kept within calories, but protein was on the low side. I’m even doubling up on plain greek yogurt to up my numbers, otherwise I’d would hardly have any.
✅ Tracking -
Closed all my Apple watch rings today.

I received my Covid Booster shot this morning. Because I had had a small reaction to the 2nd shot, I decided I would do my exercise before getting the shot. I’ll do a little self pat on the back for that since in days past I would have totally blown off the exercise. Many thanks for this group and this challenge for helping with the motivation!

@ashleycarole86
I only mentioned it because I waited WAY too long to get things that fit! And..when I did, the weight came off faster!! Yay!
Even just 2-3 things helped immeasurably!
One tip, I wish I’d thought of is to go to a thrift shop. Get things that got, figure put what works with your body type. As you lose more, donate them back & get new ones that fit!10 -

Then *poof* it’s easier again.
Hopefully, over time, I’ll figure it out more!
Decided to use US Thanksgiving as a Pass Day. We’re gonna do our traditional Thanksgiving meal with my dad❣️6 -

We are in a horrendous blizzard here. All roads and highways into our city are shut down. Husband had to pick the puppy up at the new groomer’s and it should have taken 7 minutes to get there from the University where he works. 2.5 hour later he arrived. Then the travel home. We are tucked up at home and will probably be storm stayed for a bit. We have everything we need 🥰
For today doing my final exercise now; tracking and calories ✅✅
Julie8 -
@mshawski - sounds like you need to learn to sew! As of you had time, right?
@jamcnewman - I knew you lived far north but wasn’t aware there was a blizzard. I’m sure you’re more than able to ride it through. We haven’t had any measurable snow yet which is pretty unusual. One of the benefits of being retired is knowing I don’t have to be on the roads when it’s storming. Stay safe

That's what I discovered the hard way (weigh) when I first got a kitchen scale. I honestly thought I was faithfully recording how much popping corn (AIR POPPED ONLY) I was having for my evening snack, and staying within limits ..... 50 grams was NOT what the package was saying was an equivalent VOLUME!
I felt beTRAYed, I tells ya .... beTRAYed!!5 -
@biketheworld - I have limited sewing skills but it was always something I wanted to learn as I have always been really intrigued by sculptors who use textiles in their work. Bonus point: It would also be nice to be able to alter things so I don’t always look like I’m wearing a tent. Lol. I should look into learning sooner rather than later.
Or maybe I should learn metal smithing so I can make my own rings. 😂6 -
Feeling much better today (didn't turn into a full fledged cold after all)
Exercise: TWO exergame sessions PLUS a healthy-length outdoor walk for a total of over 12000 steps
Logging: all done, including a different breakfast - applesauce and raisins stirred into quick-cooking oatmeal.
In Limits: barely touched any of the exercise calories at all (and that's AFTER dropping my target intake level by 50 ... I am pretty sure the "second honeymoon period" has practically run its course)5 -
Exercised - Yes, ran 6 miles 🍁🍂🏃♀️⛅
Tracked - Yes, but lots of approximating
Within calorie budget - Yes, just barely!5
