Exercise? Yes, barely. (I got boosted yesterday afternoon and while I was at lunch with friends, I got hit with a bad headache. By the time I got home, I had a slight fever. I went to bed. The fever has dropped, but the headache remains, albeit not as bad. I'll be fine by morning.)
Tracking? No
Calories? Nope
Not in the winner's circle. Champion? I think so... maybe? Not sure.3 -

I am at 3 Passes right now, and my plan is to not take any more and to be in the Winner's Circle for the first time! We'll see if that works.
Nov 27
Exercise - A 20 minute walk earlier in the day, then pacing around supervising kids at the playground. I wound up getting a lot of steps that way, actually - it was COLD.
Tracking - Planned the day, followed the plan.
Calories - Under
I set my calories higher to be able to enjoy the Thanksgiving leftovers. I seems I have set them exactly at maintenance because I am still within 0.2 pounds of my day after Thanksgiving weight (which was 2 pounds up). That is discouraging when I look at the scale in the morning, but then I remember that it was the plan.
I am also realizing that before I joined this group and thought it through, that's what I had my calories set to all the time, and couldn't figure out why any results of a "bad day" were so hard to lose!
Today is the beginning of Hanukkah. We celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas in my house, and yes that really is a lot! Latkes (fried potato pancakes) and donuts are an important part of the holiday - so I think I'd better keep my calories set at this level for another week. I am going to consider this practice for maintenance - and maybe, hopefully a reset in term of my energy for weight loss when the break is done.
I also should note that I got some cauliflower latkes from Trader Joe's so that I can eat those sometimes.

6/3 Pass days used
Wow - I think this was one of my worst days of eating since I started this journey a few months ago. The subject from the other day about whether or not we go hog wild once we decide is going to be a pass day really hit me. I didn't think I would, but I really did go hog wild almost all day. Starting with breakfast (which I normally don't eat), grazing throughout the day watching football games, and capping it off with our own little family vegetarian Thanksgiving. I'm mad at myself for not being able to control what I put into my mouth.

Exercise yes
Tracking and calories no5 -
@enlightenme3 - It happens to everyone at some point. There is a line to walk while being forgiving to yourself while also finding the fortitude to get back on a steady track. Being mad at yourself is one thing but there's a big difference in how you direct that anger to deal with it. Avoiding stern overcorrection while also not just letting yourself get away with every little thing. It's most important to acknowledge what happened and move on though, what's done is done and tomorrow is a fresh start. They say practice makes perfect but I have yet to ever see anyone that is perfect. Just varying degrees of "well practiced", with varying intervals between slumps.5

Exercise: more than 40 minutes walking exergame plus an outdoor walk in the (cold) sunshine. over 11.100 steps before bedtime.
Logged: everything
In Goal: with all the fitbit exercise calories granted, it would have been hard TO eat "too much" Made a point to eat SOME of the exercise calories (in the form of air-popped popcorn) in the evening so as not to make TOOOO big a gap between calories burned on an active day and eating sufficient to support that activity.
Still holding at 2 pass days used ..... and today is 30 days consistently logging in to MFP (and may-as-well log food and activity while I am here anyway)
Thanksgiving Day in Canada was in early Oct, and no family birthdays / anniversaries this past month, so I didn't have to face any pre-planned potential "Special Occasion Pass-Days" (including day-after Leftovers day) like many of you did.
My goal for December is going to be to double-down and have a 60-day streak. That's it. Be a Champion. IF (despite the whole Holly Daze / Seasonal Celebration Stuff I STILL manage to come out ahead and end up in the Dec Winner's Circle, that will be a bonus.
I will AIM for that (as a wonderful side-effect) but the most important part will be the "60 consecutive days logged onto MFP (and may-as-well log food and activity / report in to UAC Central while I am here anyway)5 -
Thank you @WhatMeRunning. I love how this is such a lovely place to express momentary frustrations and to be understood. I decided to retroactively track and log my calories yesterday. A little eye-opening to say the least. For the most part, the day really wasn't too bad in terms of calories. However, the main course of Mushroom Wellington (NY Times recipe) was over 1000 calories and 78 g fat for one serving! Guess what is being sent home with my daughter and boyfriend in their care package? :-)
I'm already feeling inspired to get back on track and started my day with my usual 1 hour Jazzercise class.6 -
Pass day 7
Getting my *kitten* together today and you will all see green checks and only green checks for the rest of the month.5 -
@Caroline_slowandsteady, well done for thinking it through and having a plan. Hopefully you will find that by allowing yourself to enjoy some treats you wont “go hog wild” to quote from a previous day.
