Sorry for the late post. Just got back to my scale.

No change 2nd week in a row but I'll take it considering last week was Thanksgiving and all. Plus my medicine has been changed around a bit.4 -
OK - hard to believe, but it's time for Thursday people to get ready to roll!

@Kali225 Hugs and so sorry to hear you have COVID. Take it easy. Listen to your body and rest.
@conleywoods so glad to hear your niece is feeling better. Wew! Hugs to you for all you have been dealing with. Hope all the kiddos are healthy soon.
@jugar I hear you my cookie sister! It’s about to be cookie season!!!
I feel like I have so much to do and am really slow getting things done. My house is half decorated. I need to get packages wrapped and mailed off.
Haven’t done great with logging, water. Food has been ok. Sleep is off. My eyes are closing as I write this. Pilates is consistent.3 -
Work has been kicking my butt this week. On the fun side, tonight was dinner out with a couple coworkers to celebrate my 15 year work anniversary.
I like @micki48 have eyes closing on me as I write this.. back tomorrow for weigh-in. Night all3 -

up from last week I'm sure.
When I woke this morning I thought that I would bow out of F2F for the next month - feel totally out of control of my eating and just everything is too much right now. But even just scanning this last page of comments - I've decided not to bow out...instead I am going to make a PLAN! I"ve never tried doing an official cheat day but I think that will be part of it this month.
Logging in here regularly with this diverse group of supporters, each with our own life challenges, is a big part of the PLAN.7 -

Hugs to all of those that need/want them xx
Sarah Millican was great (as always!) and it was nice to see my friend though we didn't have much opportunity to catch up. It was a late one as with the 1.5hr drive each way, I didn't get home until midnight so I'm pretty tired today, but worth it.
I walked down to feed the ducks at lunch time, and there was a flock of geese on the pond too - must be passing through. 'Ronnie' - the name I've given to a huge white duck - was muddy today, so not sure what it'd been doing! It's lovely how they all come over and crowd around. I can see my food container getting bigger week on week.
Will see if OH wants a walk this evening but otherwise planning a quiet one. We're having curry from the freezer - a beef Rogan Josh - which we'll have with naan and rice, so I've tried to not snack during the day today. I'm working tomorrow, but it's the last Friday I'm working this year as I had holiday to use up, so I am expecting that to be a nice feeling.6 -

You have plastered a good feeling all over my heart this morning. I am sure we all know exactly where you are right now, have been there more than once, and how tempting it is to bow out. Your decision to plan instead is great. December might not be a month to plan a loss, but planning it to avoid a gain is a great idea.
Two things to remember - you have lost 38.9 pounds from your highest weight. This month you have put on 3.5. You're going to be able to stop that slide before it gets any worse - but even if it does, having lost almost 40 pounds is a huge accomplishment! Put some reminders of that number on your plan. Remember it when reaching for the extra eating.
On cheat days - I know I have posted about this before, but they are what got me through my steady(ish) loss phase. One day a week, I got to eat all the things I had been reaching for or hoping to eat on all the other days. Knowing I could have "the thing" on Saturday (or whatever day) made it easier not to have it on other days. The cheat days were rarely as ridiculous as they would have been had I actually eaten all the things, but they made the whole process feel less like deprivation. I also took one day completely off from exercise, water, and anything else I was tracking. They did not have to be the same day.
For December, I am going to have more than one cheat day a week, but also maybe longer than a week without one. I know that the week of the 12-18 will be full of all kinds of goodies while my daughter and her boyfriend are here. So until the 12th, I'm aiming for as many perfect or close to perfect days as possible. I'm sure you can come up with a plan that will help you feel strong and in control even if there are days of abandon. Keep weighing in with stoicism when needed! Having to do it no matter what is all good information. Keep the 38.9 pounds in your mind.
You know what to do without me going on about it! But it helps me to re-commit too. Cookies, begone!6 -
@eggfreak
So glad you're sticking with us. I think everyone will be looking for a little extra support and encouragement this month. Glad you're seeing it through... makes me so happy!

Dec 1 - 7867 steps0 -
I've just had a thought... normally we'd have moved into December's thread by now. Are we staying put this month @jugar?
Our calendar is slightly askew - our December challenge does not start until this coming Sunday, December 5th. We always start a new month (and week) on a Sunday. Since December 1st came half way through a week, we chose to let November have 5 weeks and December will have 4. The new chat thread will open up on Friday or Saturday, so it is happening soon!4 -

I'll give @bowens1973 a nudge... he had a great week so I know he's gonna wanna get it logged in.. that 10 pound gap is going in his favor again. He doesn't use the board much so he's late to the "where the heck is my bookmark?" club... lol
Today was good - busy at work, slippery snow on the sidewalks but we still got out for walks and we've both snuck in a bit of extra exercise after our volunteer activity tonight as well.
12/2 exercise:
-10 mins strength
-18 mins yoga
-7425 steps
Night all!4 -
@micki48
I have to get back onto my Pilates streak! I have been slacking... You're in my head today -- thanks!
Yay!! Get back on it. It feels so good. Today my practice was a standing practice with Juliet. She hung in there the whole 12 minutes. At one point she started doing down dog. She said I want to do this MomMom. Good reminder to listen to your body and do what it needs to do.
I have no idea where the scale will be tomorrow. My logging has been poor. Only after the fact when I did it at all. Water 💦 not the best. Steps haven’t been fabulous either. I am out of routine. Every day is different and usually involves having Juliet and my daughter here. I have only not made dinner for all of us 1 night in as long as I can remember. My daughter helps, but I generally have the plan.
@eggfreak Glad you are going to stick it out with us for December. It’s a challenge for all of us. And especially for those of you with added family stress. Liselyn is right, just sticking with us may help hold the ground you’ve made. I would love to lose this month but it is not likely realistic. I know those cookies are coming, but I will make a plan to control it. I like the plan idea. I don’t have a lot of social engagements but we celebrate/show love with food in my family. My sister sent this huge box of soft pretzels 🥨 with all kinds of toppings. We put them in the freezer to keep them until Christmas.

@jugar can I please keep my weigh ins on Friday, please 😊 gives me room for improvement just in case I'll get naughty on the weekends 🤭
My day is not too bad today.
I'm working as a kitchen assistant in high school Monday to Friday so it is our last day at work today and weekend off. But I also work as a cook in the hotel and tomorrow is my last day at work and Sunday off completely 🤣
I have to do something fun and outdoorsy. Maybe burn few calories along the way 😁
Have a great day everyone and thank goodness it is Friday! 🎉🎉🎉4 -

After a gain last week I’m down a few pounds this week. I fly out today and will be in Las Vegas at a work convention until Wednesday so I know it will be a tough week. I’ve packed snacks, workout clothes, and my walking shoes and I will work hard to minimize the damage. Have a great weekend everyone!6 -

Sorry for the delay. This week has been crazy. I have been staying up later then usual to get stuff done. I need quiet time in the evening or it takes me awhile to fall asleep. I am NOT complaining. I am so happy that we get to do all the normal holiday events. Tomorrow, I am hosting the Varsity Cheer Holiday party. We are decorating cookies, ornaments, Gingerbread houses, each other (as trees), and Secret Santa. I went all out since they didn't get to do this last year.5 -
Some encouraging scale results for me this morning, albeit after a very dehydrating Hockey game where we only had 8 skaters per side and played for over an hour instead of the usual 50 minutes. I'm hopeful that I can make it into the next decade of the 180s by the end of the year, even if it's December! I've printed my calendar and written in the days that overeating will be expected and excused, I just need to not let emotional eating climb on top of those dates, or else I'll have to really step up the exercise levels. Went to see Dad in the hospital yesterday. He's unfortunately not responding to medications the way the doctors had hoped so he won't be able to be released to any long term care facilities for awhile. We had hoped to have him settled somewhere more permanent (and calm) by the holidays but it's not looking promising.
But, to lighten the mood, here is a collage of my Kitties in their holiday pajamas!

I’m happy with that considering logging was sparse. 🙂
Pilates ✅ done for the day. Although @jugar Robin has a live workout at 12:30ET today. I may try to make it.
I’m slow getting moving today with a full list of things to do. Enjoying my coffee and listening to calm music. Thinking about all the people who find the holidays a bit sad because of missing loved ones. On the 8th, it will be 25 years since I lost my mom. Still miss her. ❤️For years now, I have made the 8th “Momma Day” I do something special with my kids or for me to remember her.
Have a great day everyone.5 -

Thanksgiving temptations… grrr… I did walk every day.5 -
I tracked well yesterday, but I think my sodium intake was a little too high and I barely drank any water. I also didn't sleep well so today I feel yucky and tired. Trying to struggle through work. I'm about to go take a quick walk around the building to get some steps in.3

@PlaneMonkey Your cats are adorable. We have two ourselves.. love the pics
By the way, we have the same goal (get into the 180's by end of year). We've got this!!!
I guess that's my stretch goal in a way. I will honestly be very happy if I start Jan 1 lower than I was Dec 1. But ideally that'll be in a number in the 180's
Brad and I are done work at noon today and then off to Canmore to stay a night at the venue we got married at. We have a lovely dinner reservation booked.. it's about a 20 minute walk from the hotel so I'm hoping we'll just walk there, but it may depend on weather.. it's a nice place and I don't want to be too haggard when I get there
Have a good weekend all5 -
@PlaneMonkey Those pics are too cute for words. I would love to dress my dog up but he isn't having it.
@ashleycarole86 Sounds like a fun evening. Have a great time!
@MoStacy Don't beat yourself up. Thanksgiving should be celebrated. November and December is always a little more difficult. We all tend to celebrate occasions with food. I graduate Sunday and ny friends wanted to take me to dinner. I have convinced them that coffee and then an escape room is a much better way to celebrate.4 -
OK I have put some of my stress to the side and feeling much better. My truck will be fixed by tomorrow and even though it cost $1300 I'm relieved. My stepson will be home for Christmas break on Wednesday so I am super happy about that. We planned out our Christmas dinner menu yesterday and I should have no problem sticking to my diet. Cornbread stuffing is on there and I love it but with only 20% of my stomach I cannot eat bread because it swells in my stomach and I can't eat anything else. We r having prime rib and I would much rather have that.
A NSV happened for me yesterday. It was good for me but not so much for my boyfriend. He weighed in at 300 and I was 298. This is the first time I have ever weighed less than him. He is mad about it but I don't care. If he wants to change his eating habits then I will support him 100% but if he doesn't want to put in the work then he has to face the consequences. He has a family history of high blood pressure, cancer, and diabetes, plus he is African American which increases his risk for about everything...he needs to get it together but when I try to nudge him in the right direction he gets mad. Wont be doing that no more..lol.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.7 -

Some great weigh-ins! You all rock, and if you had a gain - you are not a bad person, a slacker, or any kind of a thing that the blah-blah-blah in your head might call you. You are learning, you are having an adventure working with food in new ways, and old comforting habits are not evil either. They just need balancing. And cursing at. And for you not to get sucked into the vortex of doom...
Keep on cursing, tracking, and feeling great as often as possible!9
