What's your NSV this month?

This month I tried fasting for 24 hours, and I liked it! Much easier than I expected. Not many months ago going 8 hours without eating at night seemed like a huge challenge to me and I never expected to fast (voluntarily) in my life. I also tried brewing kombucha this month. I like doing that too.
Today I am fasting until supper. For my first two 24 hour fasts I worked out fasted right before ending my fast. Today I plan to walk some throughout the day and let my FitBit track the exercise for me. My non-scale victories are trying out new habits. I will add my results tomorrow. I tend to be one of the last ones to post here many days.7 -
My NSV:
Iβve realized the past two months that I no longer eat when sad or stressed. I seem to have really accepted that eating wonβt help.
I make a plan to fix a situation or accept that it cannot be changed & let it go.
Hiking, nature, learning, organizing, creating, relaxing, reading, & yes, sometimes, weeping are my substitutes.8 -
I was just saying yesterday how Iβve been consistent with exerciseβ¦ errrr, I got a covid booster jab today and ended up missing my class but I did track and stay within budget.

Long bike ride this morning and gym workout later, but went out to lunch with friends. I chose prawn cocktail β rather a lot of creamy dressing β and game casserole. There are very few database entries for game casserole but I think if anything I over-estimated. The prawn cocktail was more difficult β I think the dressing was based on proper (ie not low fat) mayo. I wish I could have picked out the prawns and left some of the dressing on the plate but it was too delicious!
However, no dessert and only water to drink has kept the calories within my limit β lots of exercise calories available.
NSV β this month at last I have managed to get back to the gym. I have been several times now and hope the habit is getting established. Iβve also rejoined the planking challenge after missing a couple of months. Another habit to get established again.

Today: β β β
Yesterday was emotionally trying and ended up being pass day #3. I think I literally ate half the jar of Nutella.
Iβm feeling frustrated that I canβt get my food right so today I called and made an apt with a nutritionist for the end of the month. I think that was today? I have no concept of time right now. Maybe they can figure out what I need to do to finish the journey to maintenance. Iβm hoping theyβll do some vitamin deficiency testing too because I really think my compulsive need to eat anything high in B vitamins despite taking prenatal vitamins daily is trying to tell me something (not pregnant just like the added stuff like iron and folic acid since I donβt eat meat).11 -

NSV
1. I am enjoying my treadmill walking now and I donβt watch the clock every couple of minutes to see when I can be done.
The YouTube walking videos are helping! I walked through Mykonos and areas in Hawaii over the past week. Sunshine, nature, busy cafes and conversations as we pass, and wave sounds. I am nowhere close to the steps and length of walks I was doing in the summer and fall (before the ice and snow arrived) - but I am hopeful I will be able to extend my time.

* Over calories by 400, went out to dinner and ate so much! Pizza!!! Was great!! Lol! I'm so naughty and eating is a mess atm but will work on it asap!!!
* Tracked blt
* Monitored sugars but over
My nsv is that from the 15th of Nov up till today I hve jogged, stretched, stuck to my weights routine, did mediatation journaled & woke up early/between 4.45am to 630am 5 days a week! I read atomic habits which u guys recommended to me a while ago (so thank you) and it's really helped cement these habits.
Lastly the first 2 weeks of my jogging, involved me avoiding hills at all cost, until I seen an elderly man and his dog walking up a hill in my neighborhood and that inspired me to think well if he can walk up it then I can jog up it. This morning I seen him again at the same hill and told him that he inspired me which he said in turn inspired him. It was a really heart warming beautiful moment for me! Also I got to pat his gorgeous dog again which was another bonus! He he!! Ill jump on later ro read all ur nsv!!! Xo

A lot of terrific NSV's here! I've taken off the extra 3 lbs that I put on since Thanksgiving (since I haven't been feeling well for almost 3 weeks)... which is my NSV for this month. The fact that I can "catch" a gain and turn it around QUICKLY. This has made me very happy today! And yes, I do still get on the scale every.single.morning.4 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 35 minutes Peloton, 10 minutes yoga, 10 minutes strength, 27 minutes walking

My winter boots fit better. I have a pair of Sorel boots and I remember last year it was so hard to get them on and off, the liners would always come out when I was taking them off. Anyway, this year they slip on much easier. Also, I have a pair of hiking books and even just the act of bending over to put them on is easier.
There is so much joy in having better mobility and better ability to fit in things!9 -

NSV? I pulled out the old pile of jeans from before I'd gained weight and they all either fit or were too large.8 -
Track: yes
Calories: yes
Exercise: yes- Full body warm up 5 min
- Day 4 of EPIC II - Cardio dumbbell full bod workout / core focus 54 min
Todays EPIC was heavily modified as I had some pain in my left knee after about three squats. She was doing a combo of upper body dumbbells with squats or lunges for part of the session often one side at a time so I did the upper body part with dumbbells on both side. There was a separate core work on the mat that I fully did. Sometimes I get tired of modifying but I have to work with my limitations and I still workout much harder with EPIC then left to my own devices.
NSV? I'd say that after November being my worst month I'm back on the path not having pass days. In spite of three two were doctor ordered no exercise so if not for that I would only have one pass day up to now which is where I want to be.

@donna25trinity
If you are enjoying Atomic Habits, be sure to join James Clears newsletter. He emails every Thursday and I believe he also has this wonderful mini course to help drive points in the book home. Super good and free.
The hardcover book as of writing is on sale/cheaper than kindle on Amazon. A great time to buy your own copy or share with friends!
PS
Way to pay your good vibes forward to that gentleman. Bravo!!
