Couldn't wait for my regular weigh-in day on Sunday. I just had to share...
12/14/21-169.4 lbs! Finally under 170! But now all I think about is the next goal for the scale of under 150! Down 85.6 lbs total, 12.4 lbs already of my 15 lb goal for November, December & January. I had a later start for my Elliptical today so only did 140 minutes for 11 miles.
That's my next goal for I think, for the end of January. To get below 170. Once I'm in the 160's, I think I can relax. Start thinking about maintaining.

I have been eating on plan every day, and while my weight loss has gotten slower, sometimes I still get a nice drop.. I am at 235.6 today. I was actually over 240 yesterday, up about a lb., so this is almost a 5 lb. drop. More than halfway to my 10 lb. goal.. 3.6 to go, and I still have 1/2 the month.
I've discovered lard, and like it. Eggs, sausage and lard for breakfast. I even added 4 tsp. of Parmesan, and mixed it up in a bowl.. to make sure I ate the 4 Tbsp. lard. Dinner is just 12 ozs. chicken & 4 Tbsp. butter. I CAN have cheese NYPhotographer... BUT, it is one of those things I worry about eating.. when I don't lose weight. I try to limit cheese, but it's OK on Carnivore. Alos very low carb, IF you stick to aged cheeses, which burn off most of the lactose. I like extra sharp cheddar, and grated Parmesan to mix into food.
FYI.. when I was a manager at Hungry Howies, I ate their wings.. they had a hot rub, but no breading, and they had ZERO grams of carbs. If you had 6-8 of those, and a salad, it would be very low carb, still.
Of course, since it's the holidays, you may want that slice of pizza, and possibly some carby drink.. so enjoy, but just wanted to let you know that as long as they aren't breaded wings, they are OK, most likely.
Congrats on getting below 180!!2 -

Day 16 - 178.8
I was surprised. I must have had over 100 carbs yesterday. I was fully expecting to go back over 180. Maybe tomorrow. I still ate at a deficit of about 150 calories. Of course, this is all guestimates because I didn't have a way to measure or weigh my food. And yesterday was my first OMAD day. Not that I am going to do a lot of them. Usually my meals are around 450-550 calories per meal. And they add up to usually less than 1450 for the day. Yesterday, I hit about 1300 for the one meal. So I didn't eat the rest of the day. I wasn't hungry. Anyway, today back to the grind!
May the day be great for all of us!4 -

I impulse bought a couple of keto bars to try, and had one after lunch (I'm usually not tempted by things around the office, but there were some good potato chips left over from the last time lunch was brought in, so I decided to try a keto bar instead, and it was surprisingly good -- 5 g carbs, 3 g fiber, so 2 g net carbs. Genuis Keto Chocolate Dream or some such, also 170 cal, 10 g of protein). Kind of small for that many cals, but not bad for an occasional thing, IMO.3 -
Day 17 - 179.4
Slight uptick, but still under 180! Starting next week, I'm going to try maintaining. I just have to figure out the best way to do that. I've lost 35 pounds in 3 1/2 months, and I know that is a lot. Too much, I've been told. So time to give my systems a rest and catch up. Below 180 is a good place to rest and reset. I still want to get down to below 150 but I feel good where I am now. I'm no longer in the Obese column with BMI calculators! So that's a great NSV!
Have an awesome day all you beautiful people!!6 -

I'm a 4 foot 11 inch tall woman, age 58. I'm currently at 158.8. My BMI is 32.1. My weight should be no higher than 123 to be in the healthy range. I've had my weight there in my early 20's but to be honest I had to starve myself. No one talked about keto back then. We talked about counting Calories. Calories in and Calories out.
To give you my recent weight loss and gains. I lost 45 pounds, from 187, last year to qualify for knee replacement surgery. I had the surgery, but I allowed myself to slip up and gained back 28. My weight on 09/01/21 was 171.2.
I'm back on track with a Low Carbs/High Fat diet. I've also done a little of intermittent fasting. I skip breakfast on most days and I've made it as long as 22 hours before breaking the fast. I'm mainly focusing on Low carbs because I know it works.
I know my weaknesses. I'm not going to ever make a vow saying I'll never ear sugar again. There's just too many celebrations out there, and let's face it. Eating is part of being sociable. I'm going to pick and chose what celebrations to enjoy and get back on track as soon as possible.4 -

Congrats at no longer being Obese and getting to Overweight!!!!!2 -
Day 18 - 179.0
And today we are down slightly! And still not at or above 180! So again, a win! I ended up eating some of the baked ziti we had left over from the party. I was so hoping someone would have already taken some home so I didn't indulge. But I did. I did my best to log it. Not sure if the numbers are right. I had to find an entry that had it in grams rather than cups. It's so hard to log in restaurant food. Especially restaurants that aren't chains. I was over in carbs, but not by a lot. And still under in calories. So a good day!
Thanks @swimmom_1 & @lemurcat2 ! 30 more pounds and I'll be normal again! Well, normal in weight anyway! LOL! Have a great Saturday!1 -

Day 19 - 179.6
Another slight uptick but still under 180!!! I've increased my caloric intake by 150 grams. Still staying low carb, but not as strict as I was before. It's weird, but I find it hard to eat more! I've been so stringent with my diet since August. It's not that I am afraid of gaining weight. I want to stay under 180 but I'm not afraid of if I do go back above. I know now that I can lose weight. Quite easily in fact. But trying to eat more calories is playing with my mindset I think. Today and tomorrow, I am going to go easy. Stick with my previous plan. On Tuesday morning, I'm going in for my annual bloodwork. Then for the rest of the year just try to relax and enjoy eating more. This should be a good experiment for when I start maintaining for good! Trying to figure out how many calories I need to eat to stay at current weight.
For Christmas, we aren't going all hog wild like we did for Thanksgiving. Not as many carb-laden foods. And because we are going to my son's house, he will have to deal with the leftovers, not me! LOL!
Have yourself a great Sunday! Football Baby!!! The Bills have a chance to win the AFC East still!!! There is HOPE!1 -

12/15-12/19
I swear, I don’t understand how I can go weeks without cravings and then other times want to snack on everything in sight. This week has been the latter so I’m proud that I was able to fight off most of those urges. My weight had crept up a small amount and was holding steady so I thought, here goes the plateau again. Alas, I awoke to a lower number on the scale this morning- about the lowest I’ve been been able to hit in the last few months. I’m going to start lifting heavier this week and need to up my protein so I would imagine that help with fullness. Fingers crossed!3 -
Day 20 - 180.2
Slight increase, not too worried just yet. I have increased my calories and my carb grams. Not by a lot. I want to see if my weight stabilizes.2 -
