Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

During this holiday season ... for those of us who drink alcohol ... we might want to consider these mocktails as a substitute during gatherings. This could be helpful in lowering total calorie intake.

Also, I wanted to remind everyone about food/drink pushers that I posted about last Sunday.

I hve increased my calories limit today as it was really disheartening yest wen I completed my diary to see how much little weight I'll loose 5 weeks from now. I hope though that the low calories do not bring on feelings of hunger and restriction then bingeing. Inpatince vs slow and steady?? Hmm am I setting myself up for failure?

I often have non alcoholic alternatives. And I quite like chilled plain water. But I will have a glass of champers. 🥂
We’re just with close family this year, and they are sympathetic to my efforts. The food is there but it’s not pushed at me. And there are healthy options. I take my food scale with me so that I know exactly what I’m eating. It’s my choice if I indulge. Can’t blame others for my choices.7 -
Did 5 miles of spin hope that helps reduce the calorie load if I stay under 160 through the holidays I will consider it a win
1/3 pass days may have a house of quarantine so could be easy to control the excess calories keep you all posted and my fingers crossed. Only a really bad cough for my son so far let’s stay that way will see ….6 -

@donna25trinity - I never close out my diary anymore because the “you will weigh this amount in 5 weeks” tends to be unrealistic and messes with my head.
Off topic - but I committed to post my avg weight in a spoiler this month to hold myself accountable and keep me focused on my goal of an avg weight of 195 by Christmas.Dec 2 - 197.4
Dec 4 - 196.8
Dec 7 - 196.3
Dec 10 - 195.7
Dec 13 - 195.0
Dec 16 - 194.3
Dec 18 - 193.9
Well I would certainly never encourage someone to drop weight this fast - but for whatever reason, it’s the case for me. Maybe this makes up for months of little progress.

At get togethers, Instead of something alcoholic, I like sipping on club soda and citrus on ice. A number of years ago a friend needed help with sobriety, I agreed to abstain in support and discovered I prefer that. If someone opens like an '82 Bordeaux, ok I'm in :-).
As far as holiday food, that for me is challenging. Thanks for the info @LazyBlondeChef.5 -
Track: yes
Calories: yes
Exercise: yes- Treadmill: 38 min / 2.21 mi
Even if you don't drink alcohol a lot of the mocktail type drinks can be quite flavorful and relatively low cal. I like cocktails and favor strong flavors. At the same time I get quite bored of drinking water all the time so it's nice to have some flavorful alternatives available without breaking the calorie bank.

Pass Day as Planned - I think I'm up to 10?
Exercise - 15 minutes MommaStrong, 10 minutes or so of walking around outside while supervising kids, many minutes of carrying my 5 year old around at the gathering because they had dogs and he is terrified of dogs and has not been in a house with dogs during the time he can remember. I am sore today in all the right places so I think my exercise program is helping.
Tracking - Preplanned my food for the day except for the 2pm brunch, as planned.
Calories - Ate what I wanted at the brunch, didn't go too "hog wild," for sure over.
I don't drink alcohol or juice or soda. Occasionally apple cider (I had some mulled cider yesterday) or a flavored seltzer. I had some decaf earl grey with eggnog in it yesterday too as a festive drink (with a teabag I brought from home).
This morning, waking up feeling sore from carrying my kid and just a bit hungover from all the sugar and socializing I was thinking that I am so glad that I don't drink so I don't have to contend with a real hangover. That is why I stopped, because I got a terrible hangover from any amount of alcohol, and the less I drank the worse the hangover was whenever I did - so it became a negative feedback loop and I just stopped all together.
@LazyBlondeChef I was thinking about your food pusher article at the gathering, because they were definitely food pushers. At least not specifically to one person, but just in general. We finished brunch and went outside to a fire pit, where there were S'mores. Then when we came in they said, "Have some hot chocolate!" And candy dishes everywhere - even though one of the hosts had his lower leg amputated last year due to diabetes. But like I said, it was directed at everyone and it was kind and welcoming, really. So no strategies needed other than in my own head - I kept on saying "I am here to see people not to eat." It helped somewhat.4 -
