@mypinkbikini Praying for you and your big medical appointment. I have an appointment tomorrow to find out if I have to be put on diabetes medicine or if I was able to get the A1c down enough on my own. It has been 11 weeks since my last appointment. I am trying not to stress about it, but I don't want to be on medicine for it either.

For January I am aiming for at least 15 active minutes per day or minimum 4000 steps minimum on 5 out of 7 days each week. (I was overly optimistic with initial goal of 6000 - my steps on Jan 1st fooled me). Get 250 steps minimum in 6 of 12 hours (per Fitbit).

Jan 1 - 7000+ steps entertaining at home; Fitbit recorded 110 active minutes! 11/12 hours - great start to 2022 🙂
Jan 2 - pass! Day of recovery lol.
Jan 3 - Improved Health 60's workout for 20 minutes (just did aerobic section); 8/12 hours
    Jan 4 - 3000 steps; 6/12 hours
    Jan 5 - 3000 steps; 6/12 hours
Jan 6 - Undecorating in earnest,  over 4000 steps; 6/12 hours
Jan 7 - 16 active minutes! Used rebounder at 11:26pm! 5000 steps; only 4/12 hours
    Jan 8 - 13 active minutes; 5000 steps; 7/12 hours
    Jan 9 - drum 🥁 roll please! 6200 steps; 12 out of 12 hours with minimum 250 steps! First time ever!😃 🥳

@Americanbabydoll, sending you good wishes for your appointment tomorrow and A1C numbers!

@mypinkbikini, way to go! Healing to you.

    Milage goal: 28 / 70 miles tracked
Apple Watch Chall: 2 / 5 workouts of 15min or more.

Back to PT today. I think we find the right combination of stretching and instrument work to get things worked out. I also picked up some heel inserts for my shoes to help cushion those spurs.

We also "went back" to work this week. It was nice to have a couple of weeks "off" but when we're off we're not getting paid. #selfemployedproblems.

It's cold here in Michigan, Winter has definitely settled in. ☃️☃️☃️

My January goal is to get at least 15 minutes of physical activity each day before retreating to my sewing/craft studio. My thought is if I can maintain this for 1 month, it will become a healthy habit that I can sustain. Here we go...

1/1/22 Leslie Sansone 2 mile walk with fitness band strength training (30 minutes)
1/2/22 YouTube channel "Improved Health" 30 minute aerobic workout to the 60s (*fun and inspiring workout)
1/3/22 Reps to the Rhythm Walk & Tone #3 (20 minutes)
1/4/22 Leslie Sansone 2 mile walk (30 minutes) Bonus! Shoveled snow for 1 hour!
1/5/22 Jessica Smith Cardio Slide and Glide (31 minutes) Good change-up!
1/6/22 Leslie Sansone 2 mile walk (32 minutes)
1/7/22 Pahla B Cardio for Weightloss #3 (21 minutes) Great with bonus balance work as well
1/8/22 Improved Health Interval Workout #2 (32 minutes)
1/9/22 Fitness with Cindy Low Impact Aerobic Workout to Boost your Mood (23 minutes)
1/10/22 Set up and organize trailer; pack supplies from shop to trailer. No "official" workout 😣 but I worked 🙂!

We're settled in back at the ranch (our home away from home) and I am figuring out how to stay on track with the challenges that come with living in a tiny space and not having complete control of the meal planning. My norm at home is to do my workout first thing in the morning while my Sweetie still sleeps. That doesn't work in a camp trailer 🤣. Meals are going okay, but I have to watch portions. It's very kind when someone loads a plate for you, but I have to make sure I'm not eating more than I should. The positives are that I have boundless places to go for a walk (and the rattlesnakes are snug in their dens for the next couple months...NOT a fan!), so I will try and add an afternoon walk to my daily activities, weather and chores permitting. Another bonus...beautiful sunrises! My tablet can't do the beauty justice, but this is my morning view out the door:

@BCLadybug888 "A normal A1C level is below 5.7%, a level of 5.7% to 6.4% indicates prediabetes, and a level of 6.5% or more indicates diabetes."

My A1C in October was 6.4. Today the doctor told me it is ......... 5.4. I am at a normal level with no medication, I made changes to my eating and lost some weight. I'm pretty proud of myself.

@Americanbabydoll - fantastic, that is great news! You did it - you avoided medication and a pretty serious illness. 👏 👏 👏

@sewfast - beautiful. I never see sunrises unless I stay up all night 😄 🤣

@Deeder522 - that sounds like a very positive PT session. Hope the inserts help.

@Americanbabydoll that's wonderful news! Well done!!!! Keep walking 😁

Today is my appointment and it's going to be physically unpleasant but I've meditated, I've been walking and doing my weights and I'm going to get through today. Thank you all for the prayers and warm thoughts.

And the gorgeous photo @sewfast !

Good to know I'm not the only one who gets giddy about sunrise and sunset photos!!!??? My husband makes fun of me every time I comment on one but I just love a Beautiful start or end of day photo.

My appt went as well as I expected, my Dr was very skilled and I'm proud of my preparation for it. I've got a bit of a wait for test results. But I'm probably going to need hyst. this year no matter what the results are so I'm still processing that.

Walked over 30 minutes with my weights today. Going to do it again tomorrow.
