Photo of my favorite breakfast, 4-6 times per week. It's extra thick rolled oats with shredded zucchini, vanilla, a little ground flax seed and wheat germ, half a teaspoon of honey, and then I rotate other ingredients like berries, apples, banana and coconut, raw cashews, sometimes a little cinnamon and nutmeg. I shred up the zucchini ahead of time and keep it handy in the fridge, scoop it on in there before I microwave it. I hardly notice it's there, it's vury vury purdy, and gets me an extra serving of veggies!
I've saved it as a meal and then just edit it for additions. Around 300 cals and very filling.
checked all three boxes today!
I've used 2 out of 3 pass days so far.
I hope y'all are doing well. I'm grateful for this group.
Yum @Revlish I wld never think to put zuchini in oats. I'm going to give it a try as it right wat a yummy clever way to get it veggies in. I loveeee oats I eat them daily. Xo4 -

So glad to be able to get to the pool today! My son showed me a picture of the half marathon he ran in Carlsbad CA this weekend- 63 degrees Fahrenheit. I had been a little doubtful of his desire to try Keto two weeks before this event (I had wanted him to watch his carbs. I do low carb but not really Keto and it seemed a little extreme to go all in on Keto right before a half marathon) but he said he researched it and believed it was healthy for him since he wasn´t trying to get his best time. He said he was very pleased and found he felt good all through the race, burning fat the whole time. He was very happy that his Fitbit told him he burned 1900 calories. I guess moms always worry too much!

Ugh updated my snow shoveling from this morning my elbow is screaming and now the wind blows. Plenty of exercise tracked and logged. Knee tender from all the work today but I am confident it will feel better by morning ,however, decided to be exercise careful this week. Hubby came out for awhile but snow blowing tired him so I finished 😂😂 Covid stinks!
Oh wow u hve covid! U poor tthing..Get well and please take care. Xo1 -
Yes x3. Lower body strength and day 5 of yoga. Add me to the list of those needing to try zucchini in my oats!5
-
@BMcC9 Sounds like it was a VERY well laid out plan. Too bad the snow wrecked it. Good that you were ready to adapt back into your normal routine.
@Revlish Haven’t thought of putting zucchini in my oats or smoothies before but I imagine it’s a very mild addition. Good tip! I am a savory person in general so that appeals to me.
@Bill70sStrong Good job my fellow Peloton buddy… crushing some big numbers there!

Did I exercise today?
37 minute outdoor walk, 48 minute Peloton ride, 5 minutes of stretching, 10 minutes core work, 10 push-ups

The mild temperatures are in the middle of taking a turn. The wind is gusting like crazy out there! A couple of days of cold and then it's supposed to warm up again.5 -

Let me know what you think! And any other tips for getting in more veggies.
Oats are the best! I also love rolled rye- grainier and chewier. I forgot all about rye until I posted the oats photo. It's on my shopping list now.5 -

Pass day 3 today.
My kiddos have covid. They're both very clingy and so I've literally had small boys on top of me all day. The baby cries if mummy puts him down so I've been sedentary today sadly. Want nothing more than to go for a run but that'll have to wait.9 -
I definitely don't deserve to be on a list of no pass days. The past several days I have not bothered to write how many pass days I've taken, as I have blown way past 3 as I recover from my covid booster (and accompanying autoimmune flare)
I didn't manage to post yesterday. Jan 16 was a full pass day. I did make it out for a 15 minute super slow walk,
Jan 17 was also a pass day, but I began easing back into good habits. I planned the day the night before and I almost followed the plan but did not track changes, and some of the changes definitely put me over. Baking as an activity to keep the kids occupied has its problems. I went for another 15 minute walk around the block and also managed some movement in the house doing some housework. Finally feeling better!
Today I have the day planned and I am going to follow the plan!
Not doing my usual morning exercise, though, just taking it slow this morning.
@Mrs_Hoffer and @jamcnewman thank you so much for the encouragement for my NSV/ determination to come back from this. It really meant a lot.
And so much love and support to all those struggling right now - wish I had time to mention each of you individually, but I am reading and sending love.

Pass day number two for me - too dicey to drive to swimming and then my SIL called and my brother almost lopped off two of his fingers in a snowblower accident… so spent the afternoon driving her around in the city until they consulted and sewed him up. Looks like they may heal with no nerve or tendon damage - whew! Could have been a lot worse - those blades don’t stop moving even when you’ve turned off the motor fyi!

My wifi has been really wack lately, I'm not sure if my reply went through the other day.
For the last 3 days;
Exercise: Yes I've been collecting carts and walking nonstop for an hour each day. (On my off-day I swim at the gym.)
Calories: Theyve been right on my goal if not lower.
Log: I track everything but as I've said before I need to do my water abit more...
An UPDATE: I started Yoga and some HIIT exercises yesterday, and my back hurts. Maybe I'll hold off on the yoga for now and focus on HIIT.
