Taking a pass day due to no exercise. I did get far more steps than I typically would but not enough to count.
MFP is completely annoying me. I'm sorry I paid for pro. The logging out thing has become excessive on the web. The app still works but I dislike entering food because you can't do the checks for multiple items and since I often eat the same food for lunch that I ate for dinner the night before I have to add each item individually instead of doing checkmarks.

@LazyBlondeChef, I have found that when the web page “Fitness starts with what you eat” is presented, I don’t actually need to log in. Simply click on FOOD in the blue bar, it takes me to the food database. From there you can click on Food Diary. It’s still very fiddly and you can’t get the proper “home page” with friends’ comments, so it’s very annoying.
Sorry, I can’t post pictures or screenshots, but give it a try.

I also paid once for pro and will never do this again. Already for few days web interface changes from English to German every time I switch between home and food and so on. With German you have a complete different lay-out, community and groups. Every time I have to go to the bottom of the page to change the language

Exercise -15 minutes MommaStrong
Tracking - Planned the day, but with a random database entry for "1 slice" of "chocolate cake with chocolate icing"
Calories - followed the plan
I'm going to call it a pass day because of the ridiculousness of that estimation and because I only did 15 minutes of intentional exercise. I meant to at least do some stretching in the evening but ran out of time.
2 Pass Days total
@loopydo2017 it was my son's birthday too! 6 years old.
@LazyBlondeChef the app doesn't have check marks, but you can copy everything you eat from one meal to another meal by clicking the 3 dots at the bottom of the meal and then selecting "Quick Add" and then selecting what meal you want to copy that meal into. I agree MFP is fiddly and annoying, though!
Re: Pass days
I am so inspired by all of your exercising here! As you can see, I struggle to even find the time for 20 minutes of anything a day. But I certainly am not exercising at a level that I need rest days because my exercise is so intense. When I was having my autoimmune thyroid flare for the last few weeks I sometimes needed to rest for that - like I just couldn't handle any movement.
I have 3 kinds of exercise I try to do daily
1. MommaStrong workouts. Those are usually 15 minutes and they are mostly HIT type workouts and mostly full body. When I am doing them regularly I could do one every day without trouble. But sometimes, like now, when I am easing back into them after a break (in this case because of the autoimmune stuff) I do find that I get sore and if I do it again when I am very sore I can get headaches or other pain that disrupts my life. So, if I am feeling that way I don't do it that day and do stretching instead (they do have stretching programs too so sometimes I do those or sometimes my own routine). I almost always do these in the morning before breakfast. 1 or 2 days a week I plan to sleep in and don't leave time for these. When I was in the autoimmune flare I had to sleep in and that's why I didn't' do these, even more than not having the energy.
2. Walking. I try to walk at least 30 minutes a day, at least around the neighborhood. If I have time I go for a hike in the woods or at least walk somewhere else. I schedule that into my workday and try to schedule it into my weekends too. That's more for my mental health than real exercise, but it is usually how I get to the required 20 minutes for UAC. I definitely don't need a "rest day" from that, but sometimes I just can't fit it in. Like yesterday, when I had a lot to do for work but then stopped early so that I could celebrate my son's birthday.
3. Stretching. I have assigned PT exercises that I should be doing ideally multiple times a day. I find it really helps my pain level when I do them at least daily. I was doing well with doing those some mornings (when too sore for MommaStrong) and some evenings and then during meetings if it's more a listening sort of meeting. But since the autoimmune flare it seems none of those times is available and I've been struggling and having pain because of it. I am going to stretch this morning. I need to give more thinking on how to fit that in. I usually don't count the stretching towards UAC goals, though I will sometimes.

It is really annoying… On the app you can multi add food or copy meals over from previous days (same meal only tho) Just click the multi add to do more than one at a time after you go inside the meal. On the iPhone its a blue bar at the bottom,1 -
Feb 9 - no exercise (not a rest day, Lol, forgot to even try due to stress & just not planning well?
Yes to tracking.
No to being under.
At least I am tracking now. After discussion of binging yesterday, I binged last night. Too late of dinner & guess I need to write some notes to myself since I went out of my head with eating. Didn’t try to resist—went a little out of my head with work & Mom stress combined. Craziness!
I so appreciate that I can be here for accountability only.
I just didn’t even think today & tonight. I do WANT to do this. So, I’m going to do it!
February 10 is a new day & im looking forward to it.6 -

Exercise – small hike with a wonderful view. Beautiful winter day - blue sky, bright sun and temps in the high thirties. Who wants to go into the basement to workout on a day like this? The hike raised both my spirit and my heart rate! And my little poodle pup had a blast tracking the deer tracks.
Tracked – yes
Calories – no, but not too far off the target

Ever since I started back with MFP back in early September of last year, I really haven't done intentional rest days. I have missed a few days due to travel/time constraints or not feeling well after my booster jab. But even in those cases, I did try to get some walking in. My Jazzercise workout are designed such that if I wanted to take it easier, I could. My New Year's goal was to walk outdoors every day in some form - whether 1/2 mile or longer. Combined together, I can hit my target of 600 active calories on my Apple Watch ring. The streaks and badges on my Apple Fitness app keep me motivated and I don't want to break that motivation.6 -

Tracking and calories yes
My rest days tend to be weekends and snow days. I still walk at least 10,000 steps but that’s all for exercise4 -
Yes x3
So I tend to do yoga or walking for rest days. I feel a bit rubbish if I don't move my body at all. I'm a teacher and so on my feet all day. As long as I reach my 10000 steps I'll count that as an active day. I feel so sorry for people who have office Jobs. It must be so much harder to be active.3 -

I find this feels especially true for me since working from home!
My commute from bed to desk is so few steps, whereas when I was in the office I had to walk to the car, from my parkade to my office, and so on.
Not to mention just the steps around the office to go see other humans, a longer walk to the kitchen for lunch, meetings on other floors, etc.
The biggest thing doing an office job and working from home for me is making sure I spend my lunch hour outside on a long walk as that usually takes care of about half my daily 10K step goal.
When I can pace during meetings where I'm not on camera, I will. Or I'll be intentional about going downstairs to quickly chat with my husband instead of IM'ing.
Before I started paying attention, the numbers were dismal. I am going to try some fun strategies when I return to office, like taking the stairs (I'm now on the 8th floor), going to see coworkers in person, walking meetings whenever possible, and hopefully using a standing desk for periods of the day.5 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes pool day plus an afternoon walk
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes

I go day by day - I don’t think I exert myself on any given day enough to require a rest day. But I don’t beat myself up if I get one - it’s usually because I’m running errands and have no time for a set workout.

I’m not much of an app person as i prefer the large screen of the mac as well as a real keyboard … obviously i’m not one of the 😎 kids
