Well, not in your key demographic. I'm 58. But since August 26th, I've lost 38 pounds. I've also brought down my A1c. I'm a T2D, and my A1c was 7.2 on October 6th. Today, January 6th, it's 5.3! So that to me, is more exciting than the weight loss!

Thank you so much for sharing your story! Lowering your A1c is an impressive accomplishment.

Great job! I live in Portugal. I have just joined the app and this group. I too am not in the demographic at age 59 but hope to steadily lose from 100kg to 76kg by logging calorie intake and excercise(has to be *no impact*) to help avoid knee surgery. Wish me luck!

@duraesstephanie7994 Wow! What a gorgeous place to live! Good luck in your quest! I have not really exercised since starting back in August. A walk here and there, dancing around my bedroom for about 10-15 minutes here and there. I attempted a yoga session from YouTube but decided I better not lest I end up injuring myself again. I do daily stretches to keep my hips and glutes limber. But that's about it. I've lost all my pounds basically from diet. The last thing I need is to injure myself again. Then be laid up and there goes all my hard work. Because dieting and trying to follow a meal plan is hard work.
Good luck! You can do it! Can I come live with you?!?1 -

You can change your diary to fit keto .... go to the diary setting and change your fat, protein and carbs to what you want ... just make sure it equals 100 ... for example 5% carbs ...70% fat and 25% protein2 -

I started out again in Mid July just short of 24 stone or 334lb. I immediately cut out all refined carbs.....pasta, rice, bread, potatoes and limited myself to two meals a day...no snacking. I followed the late Dr. Moseley's fast 800 keto using his wife's (Dr. Claire Bailey) recipes for 4-5 days per week...Sunday to Friday with 2 days off when I treated myself to alcohol and ate more calories. I eat a lot of complex carbs in the form of steamed fresh green leafy veg, cauliflower, carrot, swede, turnip and celeriac with lean meats.
After a month I then read about fasting and found that time restricted eating with a eating window of 4 afternoon hours when I would have lunch around 1pm and dinner at 5pm. I have a 6 to 7 hour window on my 2 weekend days off.
This is the easiest weight loss regime I have ever done and it is pleasing to report that as of 22nd November I have lost 78lb or 5 stone 8lb and weighed in at 256lb.
As for exercise I have built up from nothing to short walks and slow 40 minute treadmill walks to 4- 5 mile walks and brisk daily 40 minute treadmill walks.
I am 64 year old and was borderline pre diabetic. I have now brought my Glucose and hence Insulin levels down. I aim to lose another 45 to 50lb over the next few months at a rate of 2lb to 4lb per week.0
