He prefers “Mr Handsome” (given by our training class leader) but will add this new option to the list of ways we lovingly name him. He is off at the groomers this morning (preventative to the disaster we ended up in with him in dreadlocks after two cancelled appointments (Covid)…)
Have a wonderful trip to your husband’s birthplace and stay with friends. It looks like a beautiful city.1 -
Hello! I am Amber, I am 29 and I live in SoCal with my husband. My weight has been an issue for as long as I can remember. I’ve done all the diets in the past and just need to continue learning to do things in a way that will have lasting impact. I do the grocery shopping and cooking so my eating habits effect my husband as well, we are both overweight and ready for change! My being overweight has caused me to be so tired and low energy, it also seems to have caused infertility, I am so hopeful that losing weight will help me to be able to have a baby. I don’t want that to be my main focus though, I don’t want to be disappointed if it doesn’t happen, my main motivator is to feel good inside and be the healthiest version of me!
I am so excited for this group, I was invited by my friend Mak, “Hi Mak!”7 -

Married 38 years have 4 adult children, the youngest still lives at home as she has Down Syndrome, have 8 grandchildren and are parents to 2 rescue fur babies that think they are the boss of the house.

I originally posted this in the wrong place and have asked to have it deleted. Hopefully I'm doing it correctly now. I've been using MFP for a while, but have never taken part in the community or with groups/challenges. I believe there is a MFP 101, but I haven't been able to find it. Help appreciated. 😁
I'm 61, have been overweight my entire adult life. Need to get serious now. Recent diagnosis of high cholesterol and pre-diabetes.
I've worked out somewhat consistently for the last 30 years, but started my own freelance bookkeeping business in 2020 and it's been so successful that I sit at a computer more than before. I don't take the time to get to the gym like I used to. I've been there this morning though.
One husband, 2 adult sons, lots of pets. Western slope of Colorado. Looking forward to getting to know some of you8 -
Hi @VickiSLaw and welcome! There is a MFP 101 7 day free course and I found it very helpful when I started. You can find it under “Plans”. To get there (from in the app): click on the “…” on the bottom right of your screen. Choose “Plans”. Click on “Free” and you should see the MFP 101 course.
Wishing you well! 🥰2 -
Hi, I am new starting late March. I have struggled with weight my whole life. I have recently regained 50lbs that I had lost and am near my highest weight yet again. I have struggled with accountability/consistency and have been resistant to it. I need to develop patterns in my daily activities. Such as stretching in am, bedtime routine, and improved wake/sleep cycle. I think daily check-ins will keep me focused on long-term goals/change.3
