@fatfifties you lost 65lbs in a year! That is fantastic and for those of us who are on similar journeys, we know the dedication and effort you put into that. It is certainly a call for celebration. Don’t demotivate yourself, you went to that party rightfully feeling proud of yourself. Next year you’ll attend and have even more to celebrate. Your knocking on the door to One-derland, you go girl!

@Eatthefruitnotthecake78 I couldn’t agree with you more about the weight training. I lost weight strictly doing cardio and it turned out that a lot of what I lost was muscle mass not fat. Resulted in my loss of stamina, and strength. It does not need to be a lot but intermixing a little strength training with your cardio makes a big difference — and keep eating protein.

Another day with my steps surprising me. After I got home from seeing my son, I did nothing. We looked in the pool house and it was packed with kids. I ended up sleeping on and off all afternoon.

I just got back from the pool and this was sitting here not posted. Senior moment! 😂

    Weigh-in Day: Monday (Aug 8, 2022)
    PW: 231.3
    CW: 232.1

I'm not worried about today's weight - we had steak and potatoes last night for my son's "going back to college" special dinner request so my salt intake was higher than normal. I'll get back down soon enough.

Sodium can really make a difference on the scales.

Once you are out of vacation mode, it will go the right way. Enjoy the rest of your holidays.

Shorter workout than planned. Today will be short again as I have my granddaughter for the day and she don’t want to swim. I am going to swim for 30 minutes while she reads on the deck. We are going to walk to the market so that will be a little bit more activity even if the watch doesn’t count my steps.

Good morning everyone. Another good weekend followed by a Monday. Went to the gym and tweaked my back.
    Check in:
    Steps - 4252
    Calories - 2275
Exercise - gym. 8 machines before the tweak. Better today but still tender.

Shopped to replace a plant. Maybe get a patio eggplant. Should produce lots of small eggplants until december.

@fatfifties you rocked that party. Pictures lie. I see some differences but the biggest difference can't be seen in a picture. It's your attitude and how you carry yourself. You said you walked in so proud. Did you walk into the first party that way? Please remember who you are doing this journey for...you. keep walking into places with that confidence and feelings of success. You have done so much, keep it up. Start looking for a new dress. I don't know if they can take it in another 8 inches next year.

  • Diet has well and truely gone out the window this week, im on holiday, theres been parties with friends, drinks and barbecues, so not expecting a good result on Fridays weigh in.
How does everyone else manage when theres a holiday? Anyone have any good tips on how to still have fun and stick to the diet? Or do you tend to just enjoy yourself and sort out the damage once its over?

Yay! The weight eventually trends down when I want it to!

I'll post my weigh in on Wednesday morning this week rather than my scheduled day, Tuesday.
    Thanks!
