Waiting for my husband to pick me up to go grocery shopping. Another late night last night so I am existing on not much sleep. Tomorrow night I am going to bed at my regular time. Not sleeping right has an impact on my food choices. I need to stick to my grocery list today and not make impulse buys because I am tired. Do you find not enough sleep affects your food decisions?
Yes if I do not get enough sleep ...I grab whatever ... don't forget to pick up some celery and cream cheese or peanutbutter ... a couple of stalks keeps me full2 -

Steps - 4255. I had much more but watch died. Lasted 2 days on a charge. It is almost gone.
Calories - 1972 or close. Had to guess on lunch.
Exercise - slow walk this evening to check back. Painted ceramic tiles at a shop with daughter. Had fun even though I can't paint3 -

The dreaded plateau has begun. Not seeing much of a loss so far this week. I've been waiting for this.
Been saving starting running for my eventual plateau and that time has come. Can't wait to start running Tuesday (I have baseball today and Monday is my rest day)1 -

Out of holiday mode tomorrow and back on fitness. Plan is sit ups every morning, stick to 1600 cals and weights at nights. Prepped 3kg of chicken into 15 containers for lunches and froze so easy meals sorted for lunch and dinners sorted. Hard to get back into the rhythm and mindset. First few days so get it going again hopefully a decent few pounds off this week 😬 have a good week all!2 -

Steps - 3513. Stayed home waiting to see if daughter wanted to do the gym or walk.
Calories - 2676. Way to much food today.
Exercise - none. Daughter wanted to relax. I got lazy and didn't go out alone.2 -
@fatfifties you lost 65lbs in a year! That is fantastic and for those of us who are on similar journeys, we know the dedication and effort you put into that. It is certainly a call for celebration. Don’t demotivate yourself, you went to that party rightfully feeling proud of yourself. Next year you’ll attend and have even more to celebrate. Your knocking on the door to One-derland, you go girl!
Thank you. Picked myself back up, have a week visiting my mum in the UK at the end of August then look out September! I'm joining the step challenge and losing 21lb before Xmas!0 -

Yes, i used to work night shifts and found that i was ravenously hungry, was picking all night at the wrong foods mostly. Apparently its hormonal, so when your tired your stomach releases more ghrelin which tells your brain your starving and at the same time you release less leptin (the hormone that lets you know when your full up). You can get round it by eating more protein and wholegrains1 -
