Happy Thursday. I was ready to apologize for not weighing in yesterday, but I see others were also caught with a busy day. I did weigh yesterday morning, and the TW is that weight. I was down a little this morning (130.8), but it's still all in the 2-pound range that I have been stuck in far longer than I'd like.

This has been a crazy busy week. I've been handling some personal business issues that have taken a huge amount of time. That is partially because I was given some incorrect information and so I had to back track and re-do some things. Is it me, or does it seem like many businesses and organizations have too little staff and many workers who are just not adequately trained? And a lot no longer have people period. You have to deal with live chats or nothing. In one instance, I was trying to get help from Xfinity and was asked online if I'd like a call or to chat online. I chose to get a call but got the chat. When I commented over and over in the chat that I had asked for a call and would prefer that, I was given a phone number, which then gave me (in a recorded message) only an option for a chat! I kid you not.

I had my second Bone Builders class this morning and have only a few minutes now before I have to leave to walk. I don't know if I'm going to continue trying to do both two days every week. I will try to get back here later to check posts, chat a bit, and set some goals. In the meantime, here's my 7-day averages from last week.

Steps = 14,103
Stairs = 13 flights
Kcals burned = 1,845

As you can see, I did put in some extra effort, but I'm sadly still in the same range. With my class starting, I think my steps will go down a good bit this week. It will be interesting to see what happens.

    Progress, although I'm not sure how. Probably just cause I've been so super busy lately. September/October are our insanely busy months. With school starting, fall coming, summer sports winding down and hockey starting, we pretty much have something going on every single night.

    I just wanted to stop by quickly to post my weigh in today. I weigh Thursdays, as I find it the easiest day for me to remember and have time to post. Back to work. I'll read more later.

    I'm not surprised as I haven't done much differently . . if you don't do differently, don't expect anything different. But, the bright side is that I'm not gaining.

    Ahhh, the time alone has been lovely. Next time I won't schedule eye doctor, dentist, dermatologist! Although, each of those was fine . . my eyes are healthy, haven't changed and don't need cataract surgery yet, my teeth look good and the hygienist dispatched all the plaque. . whew, another year down. The derm froze a couple things off, and of course repeated the need for regular care, especially sunscreen. I have a physical in early Oct, but I got a flu shot at the pharmacy Monday. . no side effects. I got to see my granddaughter get her photos taken (daughter wanted me there to "make her smile" :) ) I spent a day at the cabin on my own. <3 It's been a good week. Hubby is having a great time . . I don't know why . . it rains almost non-stop there, lol! He says this year is the opposite of last year . . more salmon, halibut is hard to find. He sent video of killer whales while they were out on the boat, so no salmon that day! He returns Saturday, and I'm just starting to miss him :D

    Sarah, congratulations on paying off your mortgage. What a great thing to get rid of that payment. And your fitness numbers are so great . . much better than mine. I would like to know more about what the bone builders class is . . weight training? Higher impact? MFP is a liar with the weight in 5 weeks projection! I don't know, but I think that is for average age and body size. I've found that I have to do a lot more to have any reduction. And, I agree that the service lately is of very poor quality. There's almost no human involved anymore. Given your background, I was wondering if you plan to get the new Covid booster? I asked about it with my flu shot, but it's not available here as yet.

    Lois, my gosh. My heart goes out to you! I think today is the day the stitches come out? I'm thinking about you and hope all goes smoothly and as pain free as possible. The small bone in my foot that I broke was painful . . I can't imagine what you're experiencing. Getting the prepared healthy meals is a great plan. Hang in there. . this too shall pass, as they say.

    Katie, years ago a friend of ours got married with a kind of fantasy Lord of the Rings theme. It was fun, if not a little weird. Unfortunately the marriage didn't last long though. I've wondered if they took their vows seriously enough, but it was really fun for the guests.

    Kelly, good to see your post. Autumn is such a busy time, especially when you have kids. I find it's a good time to kind of re-set, too. Even better than the New Year for me. I'm evaluating things, and setting new goals. I've found it's mostly little things that are done regularly that works best and is minimally painful . . 20 - 30 minutes of exercise, 200 calorie deficit, more water. Not hard other than doing it regularly.

    Gotta run.

  • Here I am!!! Same weight as usual. I am hoping life calms down soon, enough to focus more on myself and less on stress.

    The couple was together for 3 years before getting married and literally their vows were maybe 3 minutes and then they said "Let's party". I wish them all the best. Everyone deserves to be happy.

    Sarah- Your average steps in a day is awesome!! I try for 10k and barely make it some days working at a desk. I should make reminders to get up more often.

    Kelly- I know how to feel. We have school now, swim lessons, gymnastics, soccer, and then our little has a birthday in there also. Hey, if it is helping you eat less, get r done!

    Sheesh- Not sure of your real name yet. Being at a cabin is always so peaceful even if it does rain. I always schedule all my appts at the same time to get them over with. I feel as though nothing changes yearly though and is a waste of time. Most likely the one time I do not go it will happen that something is wrong. Oh well, glad you are healthy!

    Well, off to work more and then make cookies. I promised my littles I would.

    It’s Friday!!!! Ugh no don’t know where the week went. 😴 😴. Still taking the oxy/ibu every 3 hours so still not awake much at all. Work is starting to need me a bit more so I’m feeling a little anxious and always having my stuff stop at one other person to confirm before it is distributed. Just don’t trust myself in these meds. Well, went in yesterday. Could only handle the pain of removing NINE of the staples. My leg was so sensitive and I was nauseous again. Doc said to wait until next week for the remainder. Oh fun. NINE more to go PLUS sutures. I don’t know how I’m going to do it. I had taken the ibu 4 hrs prior and oxy 1 hr prior and it still hurt like a mother. Doc is hoping the incisions will be less sensitive. I dunno. I was at the point of nearly barfing from the pain so it was time to stop.

    I can barely recall much so I apologize for not responding to everything going on. I wish you all happiness and success on your goals. I’m so out of it. Can’t even recall the books I’ve read or shows I’ve watched. Hate this feeling

    Have a great weekend
