I hope everyone is well!! I had a busy weekend off work, mostly spent doing housework and cleaning up bedrooms for Thanksgiving visitors. I'm def trying to get more water in as I'm sure I'm holding onto some. I don't drink near enough plain ole water and it's a sticking point. I also drink more caffeine than I probably should but that's also a work in progress.

@19shmoo69 - Hey there leader of the pack!!! 🥳🤩 Way to go!!! thanks for the freebie. My daughter used to pick and cause sores when she was nervous. Pediatricians were no help, she had an opposite reaction to medicines than most people do, I wonder if coffee might have helped, she still does it occasionally I’ll ask her how often she drinks it and see if it might coincide. I however went through that period of burn out so I did try iced coffee and I like it but it has to be creamy and sweet to enjoy. I’m back up to 3-6 cups of straight black a day.
@Ftofit - Great loss! I know everyone is different but when I first lost down to my goal weight I was tracking and under calories goal during the week days and I would splurge on weekends. I did great with craving giving myself a bit of allowance, I was exercising daily, most days just walking but it worked for awhile. I hope you find and keep that motivation. A wedding is a great motivator!
@Katmart71 - That’s great the pen didn’t make a mess, of course you didn’t mistype I just misinterpreted for a sec. 😂 When I’m super peeved I cry too and it has thrown people often.
@askewcr - You absolutely can!!!
@TeresaW1020 - I know what you mean with the cast members!! 😂 I did have a great time with my kids Thank you!!!
@DrewsAnna - I love how much time you spend with your grand beauties, they can keep you busy!!! Y’all are all making me jealous with the leftover Halloween candy!
@Tamevv - you’re doing great!!
@trooworld - I’m sorry you’re feeling off.
Well……once we got home I went for a 4 mile walk, partly to see the fall foliage before a storm hit partially to get my workout in early on. I had every intention of completely cleaning out the truck so that that task was taken care of, I only got 75% done and my husband decided we needed to go stock up on groceries. Came home, cleaned out the fridge, cooked dinner, ate and watched a movie and although everything sounds like it was great I really felt like my husband was faking be okay. The next day we started off the day normal and super busy and although helping him work on his truck was NOT in my plans we were getting things done BUT he started drinking without eating anything for breakfast and within a couple of hours all hell broke loose.
We’ve been married for 14 years and he was an alcoholic before I met him. He actually stopped drinking for 2 years when we first got together but I’ve been learning how to deal with him for the past 12 years. I feel I’ve gotten pretty good at it. About two years ago I realized what I was also enduring was domestic abuse. Every form on some level and even with physical abuse being the least frequent, all of the other things happened so frequently and sometimes lasted so long I often felt more abused without ever being hit. I was pretty good at hiding our personal life for a long time, I’m great at posting the good times, there were absolutely good times but they don’t touch the bad. Over the past 5 years my kids have suffered too, watching it happen to me, me not being strong enough to leave bc I was scared to uproot them from the school and friends they loved, him showing himself more and more to other people. I had always held onto this hope that something would change…..it only gradually got worse, I had even thought for just a little bit that he finally understood what I needed from him this past year when my son was graduating because he was being considerate and helpful, he was the most help by leaving me alone and letting me get things done. He has since confessed he was able to leave me alone because he had started using meth. His outrage Saturday involved him throwing a brick at me. I’m really grateful his boss/best friend was there to witness his awfulness of who he truly is and help me stop him and my son from fighting. I made my son leave, I packed some stuff and had my best friend come get me. I spent the night with her and went to church the next morning spent the whole day with my kids. We hiked and went mural hunting after going out to eat. I had my daughter take me to my moms and I knocked and asked her if she wanted a roommate. 😂 I didn’t expect my son to come here too, I really thought he would stay with his friends but last night my soon to be ex husband was wreaking havoc with everyone we talk to in that area. Things have settled a bit today and I was able to go with my mom to watch my nephew and nieces play basketball then get some exercise in. I am absolutely 100% percent done. He has always made me come back by making horrific threats and I was so scared of what he was actually capable of and of what people would think but this time he put it all out there so there’s no hiding what he truly is and there’s no going back.
I have stuck to my goals except for not logging food or doing my side bends yesterday!
I got two days behind on my stretching challenge but I’m totally caught up. I could always blame him for me giving up on my goals, these past two months my mantra has been that he WILL NOT stop me from hitting every goal I set for myself!!! So far I’m doing pretty great! 😉
I will be going to NOLA and now there will be no fear of repercussions from that man!!!!
Yesterday, today, and forever I’m thankful for finally being strong enough to walk away no matter what!
🥂 To freedom and a happy life!!!5 -
@shaunarlr83 Huge ((((((hugs)))))) to you!! I know what an incredible step you took in leaving your husband but you did the right thing and now you just have to keep moving forward and create a life that you deserve. It will be hard but it can also be so worth it! I was raised by an alcoholic father who was great when he was sober but those bingers often were life-changing events. I was married for 18 years to a drug addict that was fine as long as I let him do exactly what he wanted. You deserve better just like I did!! I’m so glad that you have your family to support you and give you a place of refuge. Hang in there and know we are all here to support you as well.
Good morning! The last few days have been soooo busy! I have worked like crazy to get the house decorated so I can cross that off my list. I think it looks great and this year was the first time I put ribbon on my tree and other than its slight wedding veil appearance I do like it. I already have ideas for improvement for next year. Today hubby has to have oral surgery on two teeth and then I have TOPS this evening. I’m hoping for at least a small loss. Tonight my sister and I bought a couple of bottles of wine and some snacks and plan to stay up and watch the election returns. I love this stuff! But I will be happy to finally get less junk mail every single day.
Thanksgiving Challenge Goals:
No sugar 6 days a week (Only on Tuesday) -I’ve done fairly well and stayed out of the sugar stash that is in the freezer.
Work out or do at least 20 minutes of physical activity-Christmas decorating is definitely a workout. Yesterday I was up and down a ladder and my calves are dying this morning!
Post to this group! - I’m here today!

@19shmoo69 @Ftofit @Vegan4lyfe2012 Well done, congrats on making it onto the leaderboard!
@DrewsAnna Sounds like a relaxing day indeed! Great job with the weighing and measuring and tracking.
@Katmary71 Thanks, unfortunately, it wasn't allergies. I'm full-on sick! My pup was hungry at her normal time which was early according to the clock.
@vegan4lyfe2012 @shaunarlr83 Congrats on the losses!
@shaunarlr83 Oh Shauna, I'm so very sorry for the marital situation. I'm glad you stood your ground and left. It takes courage to leave. I was in a domestic violence/verbal/emotional abuse situation many years ago, he was also addicted to crack. I know it isn't easy and is very complex to decide to leave. HUGS to you, my friend! Yes to freedom and a happy life! As @TeresaW1020 said, we are here to support you and are rooting for you!
@TeresaW1020 You are so good at decorating! Your tree looks awesome! Thanks for sharing. Yes, I can't wait for the political ads and junk mail to stop!!!
Hi all. It's official: I'm sick with the flu. I've been sick since Sunday. I'm running out of energy so I'll keep this pretty short. I have been eating like crap because neither my husband nor I feel like cooking. But I have been properly hydrated, so that's good. Sleeping is horrible, I'm up coughing and not getting good rest.
Thanksgiving Challenge (11/4-11/24) Goals:
- track 90% of what I eat ❌
- drink 50 oz of water each day ✅
My phrase for the year: "Something needs to change…so I will take no crap and eat no crap!"1 -

@Tamevv I DID do them today, I took yesterday off because I did a challenge and the number I picked was 15 minutes abs/day on the weekend so after 2 days I needed a break. I'm adding them to ab day though, thank you!
@megnolia82 You got this, turn it around my friend!
@bethanie0825 Do you like herbal tea or white or green tea? I'm thinking if you switched some of your caffeine for less that would balance out the water issue. You got this too!
@shaunarlr83 Wow first and foremost I'm so proud of you for being brave enough to leave your husband. I know that's not an easy step and there's a lot of emotion and details involved in it but I'd imagine being stronger taking care of yourself is helping you with strength to move on. I'm so sorry for the pain you and your family has been through. I'm glad you can stay with your mom, support is definitely important right now to move on. Huge hug and prayers coming your way, thinking about you. I agree about this team being here to support you, they kept me sane while I was detaching from an abusive situation last year.
@TeresaW1020 I'll definitely be happy to have less junk in my mail, I swear I have to take the trash out 2 days earlier because of it! Forget who uses the most jet fuel, these fliers are horrible for the environment, you can't recycle glossy paper here! I'm joking about vs. jet fuel, they're both bad just was a funny thought how we never bring up how many trees they kill. I hope Joe's surgery went well! I love your relationship with your sister, you two sound so close and I'm glad things worked out with her moving in. Everything looks beautiful, I had to delete asking you to show us! Your tree is just gorgeous!
@trooworld Oh no, I'm so sorry you have it now too! Do what you have to so you can get by right now, with you AND your husband down eating healthy isn't easy.
Hi team, hope everyone is having a great week! I was pooped out yesterday and went to my room to read after dinner and snoozed for a bit. I just found out my concert this weekend isn't happening, the singer has had an ear infection and it was postponed. Bill's still coming Thursday night so we may do something different with my brother and SIL (she didn't want to go). Our only weekend plan is Costco, sad when that's an exciting adventure for a couple right? Been keeping up with my workouts and cleaning the house, not much else going on though I'm trying to get a decent amount of my Christmas shopping out of the way. Have a great Wednesday everyone! I have an appointment and need to shop, my mini band snapped so I can't do some of my leg exercises and will have to get creative with my booty bands.3 -

Lol I was practicing being at goal weight, just kidding. But I did eat more last week. That green chili chicken stew is hard to stay out of. I won First place in the Halloween contest. I got my teeth cleaned today, tomorrow I go for a hearing test and to find out if hearing aids will help me. Friday my Jeep goes to the dealer for some recall work. I bought hub a new wooden Advent calendar and I ordered the candy and small brain puzzles for the drawers. I like this one better the drawers are deeper. For Thanksgiving I want a piece of pumpkin pie with whip cream. Good night team.

@shaunarlr83 Oh girl, I'm so sorry to hear this. You did the right thing. I'll pray for you.
@TeresaW1020 Your Christmas tree is beautiful!
@trooworld I hope you feel better soon.
Hey y'all, I forgot to check in here yesterday! I got a new laptop/tablet 2in1 yesterday. So, I'm sure you can guess what I've been doing. Today, I did some moving around though. I did a 30 min workout weighed, measured and logged all my food.

@TeresaW1020 - your tree is gorgeous! Hope Joe's doing OK and that you had fun with your sis
@trooworld - oh no! feel better!
@Katmary71 - my husband and I think a trip to the dollar store is exciting lol!
Just a quick pop in- hope I didn't forget anything important!

@Katmary71 Thank you! Yeah, it's definitely not easy to cook and clean when you are sick. That's too bad about the concert.
@FushiaKat Congrats on your first place win!
@DrewsAnna Thank you! Congrats on the new laptop/tablet, that's exciting!
@Cornanda Thank you!
Hi all. Still sick. Hope to contribute more tomorrow.

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers, I really am so happy. When I tried to leave in August I didn’t stick with it bc I felt I had no support. Not from y’all, I wasn’t being 100% transparent, but I had reached out to a couple of womens help places just because I needed advice and felt they weren’t very helpful or supportive. This time I feel so much love and support and even without it I know I’m happy and I can do this no matter what!
About 6 months ago my daughter had applied for some income based apartments and yesterday my mom and I got to take her to put the deposit down on her very own first place. It’s here in the town we are all staying back in (my home town) and she lives across the street from my oldest niece and only 4 blocks from my brother! It feels so great to be back close to family again. My mom and i drove my aunt and uncle to the city so he could get an eye surgery taken care of and then picked up some groceries. I helped her make a taco pizza recipe she has been wanting to try and my little brother came out to eat dinner with us and my son!!! I let myself have more carbs than I really wanted but it was the first real meal I’ve eaten in 3 days. I still stayed under calories so all is good. We talked about his gym in town and he said he hasn’t been going bc his key wasn’t working and that I had reminded him he needed to text the guy so I told him to tell him his sister wanted to sign up too. I ended up getting myself and both my kids a membership and we went ahead and knocked out a quick workout. After Fridays huge workout day I was super sore from those side bends so I’ve just been doing them weightless as more of a stretching exercise but last night I bumped up the weight to a 20lber. with a row! When things settle in and I have more of a schedule I will check out their classes that they offer sometime.
Looking forward to more family time and getting some things taken care of then I start job hunting. I’m really excited to work. I wasn’t allowed to have a job these past 13 years.3 -
@trooworld I’m sorry it’s the yucky flu. Hugs feel better soon.
@Katmary71 I’m excited for you and your weekend ahead!
@TeresaW1020 I love your tree!!! I’ve done the ribbon for the last 10 years or so but it’s never looked that pretty!!
Have a great day everyone!!!0 -
@FushiaKat Oh green chili chicken stew souns amazing! Congratulations on first place for the Halloween contest! I was thinking about you today in the yard, glad to hear you're doing well. The Advent calendar sounds really fun!
@DrewsAnna Congrats on the new laptop! Sounds like you aced the day!
@Cornanda The Dollar Store is pretty fun!
@trooworld great job on the water, stay nourished and get well!
@shaunarlr83 I'm so glad you're feeling supported right now, that will help so much especially being surrounded by family. You're doing some killer workouts! Classes are pretty fun, try everything you can there! I was real intimidated by the stair treadmill and it was my favorite thing to do when I was in remission. I like classes too, I hope you find some favorites.
Hey hey gang! Had a great workout this morning then went on an adventure to get my Mom an air fryer at Target and dummy me didn't look up reviews until I got home. I stopped at Trader Joe's for some things and luckily an employee passing out samples asked me if I wanted one right when I realized I'd waited too long to eat and my blood sugar was low so I said yes and that got me through the register and home, don't try to beat low blood sugar like me (my vision was off and I was anxious and skipped breakfast, it's pretty obvious looking back but I'd checked to see if one of my lens was missing because it was so hard to see). I put a granola bar in my purse but I won't be leaving the house again without eating in the morning. I have a lot to do in the yard and can't finish work as one website's been down for a week so did what I could there. Not much else going on, have a great Thursday! It's been a month since I saw Bill so I'm excited for him to get here tomorrow night!2 -
@shaunarlr83 dang girl. That’s rough. I’m so sorry. Keep moving forward. You deserve to be happy and safe.2

Hey y'all! I got off to a very low start today but, after a short nap I was able to get moving. I got in a workout and a full body strength afterwards. I'm curious if any of you like Leslie Sansone "Walk at Home" videos? I really like them a lot. They get the sweat flowing.
Thanksgiving Challenge: (Tuesday)
1) 10,000 steps everyday ✔️
2) Track my food everyday ✔️ (except Thanksgiving day)
Day 9, Today, I'm thankful for music. Nothing gets my "feelers" going like music!

@shaunarlr83 That's too bad about the women's places not being helpful. You would expect them to be supportive and helpful both. That's great your daughter got her first place! I'm glad you have family around to support you. Yay for a gym membership! I'm excited for your new life, hugs! Thank you, I hope to feel better too.
@Katmary71 Thank you! I'm glad you were able to remedy the low blood sugar situation, that sounds dangerous. Enjoy your time with Bill!
@DrewsAnna I LOVE Leslie Sansone videos! For a while, I signed up for her membership (which is really affordable) and so I did the videos through my smart TV through her app. I really liked it. Yes, gets the sweat flowing and is doable.
Hi all. I tracked yesterday, yay me!!! I'm not really feeling much better but I am going to attempt working from home today. I don't think I will make it all day but I will work as long as I can. I ate my first non-starchy veggie all week last night and it didn't go well. I'll be more careful. :O

Hi team! Got my workout in and my hair's done, Bill will be here soon and I have stuff for a stir fry ready but I had the meat on defrost for too long and it's almost cooked, hopefully it won't be gross! Not sure how much I'll be around this weekend since I haven't seen Bill on a month, only thing planned so far is Costco. Have a great weekend and slay those goals!2 -

@Katmary71 Have a fantastic weekend.
Hey Y'all, I had a very productive day in the yard. I cleaned up 💩💩 so my best buddy can have a clean restroom 🤣😂 and raked up leaves. Sent hubby to Quiznos for dinner. I'm already a little sore and I'm tired. It was great to spend some time out doors. My best buddy ran around in the leaves for a little bit. His idea of helping and my idea of his helping are obviously 2 different ideas. I wound giving him some treats so I could rake the leaves. Lol, I love my best buddy 😊
