I find that the day after I do a lot of walking for work I take fewer steps. I end up sitting at my desk more the next day just catching up on what I missed.

    DAILY CHECK IN:
    Wednesday 03/08

    - Calories: 2082,(goal 1200-1600)
    - Water: 90 oz
    - Gym: no
    - Walk: no
    - Protein: 72g (85 goal)
    - Fiber: 19g (25 goal)
    * Thoughts: Eating under 1000 calories yesterday was a big mistake. While, I wasn’t hungry yesterday, it caught up with me today. To make matters worse, I planned a decadent dinner tonight, so my calorie budget was thin throughout the day. That’s when the hunger caught up with me. I ended up giving in to a bowl of chips (two servings worth) and using yesterday’s calorie deficit to justify an extra helping of ooey-gooey Mac & Cheese. Now, I feel so full, I’m sick. Well, lesson learned. Won’t do any of that again.

    STEPS:
    03/05: 11,751
    03/06: 12,269
    03/07: 13,617

Ugh! I did the same with a publix sub. Just feel heavy and still feel full. So exciting to learn the good lessons as we eliminate the bad. Here's to a better day for us both!

I went to work and did some filing, so that always gives me steps.

Today is errand day, so hopefully I will keep busy and not spend too much time plunked down at my computer, which ALWAYS becomes my downfall!

Do you curl as well? I am kicking myself for not getting brier tickets to see Gushue play. I bet curling burns lots of calories. One thing I have beef doing to try and limit my iPad time is to set a timer and stick to it.

I curled for maybe three years, and I really enjoyed the game. Then Covid hit, so there was no 2020/2021 season. I also hurt my knee in November 2020, when I had been having a great year since April, getting back in shape. I was down about 24 pounds at that point and being very active. 2021 and 2022 I went downhill mentally, and as a result, downhill physically. Now I am just too fat and out of shape to curl. Disclaimer: I cannot bend in the hack without it hurting me knee, but I could curl with a stick. However, I feel like I am too young to do that when my only disability is lack of discipline. If I lost weight and did strength training, I would be able to curl normally!

Speaking of Gushue, we were flying from St. John's to Toronto in 2018 and three of his team members were also on the plane! (Himself, Mark and Brett). They obviously sat in the big seats near the front of the plane, so they boarded first and then we had to walk right by them to get to our seats. They were flying to China for a bonspiel. And yes, if you sweep with intent, curling does burn a lot of calories!

I haven’t curled since the 80’s when I was in the military. I was young and tiny. I really enjoyed it but couldn’t say I was a great curler. I wish I would run into him on one of my flights to St. John’s. I had a lovely chat with Alan Doyle one year so does that count.

When my husband and I did our Adventure Cruise around Newfoundland in '18, (best vacation ever), Alan Doyle was one of the many locals on the ship, along with historians and geographers and documentary makers, etc. He sang quite a bit. I wasn't overly familiar with his music because I was raising my kids in the 90's, not listening to popular music on the radio, but I did recognize some hits of course. I generally enjoyed all of it. One night we had a kitchen party in Francois, and the the first round of the after party back on the ship was compliments of Alan Doyle. I ordered a White Russian, which impressed him somehow.

There is nothing better than a good old Newfoundland kitchen party. Did you get a chance to try a jiggs dinner on the trip? That’s what I made on Sunday. I only make it a few times through out the year as I retain water anytime I eat it.

Can I just say fasting is new favorite thing. I'm doing a 48 hour fast but I may do longer ... My cycle started and I'm following Dr Mindy's schedule. I'm checking my ketones and glucose three times a day on my longer fasts.
This is a healing journey. I'm excited to start to make progress finally!!!

    Congrats on the new decade.

Skipping meals gets me. Sometimes I am not real hungry at lunch and even though I know better I skip or just eat a banana. Later that night I end up overeating or binge eating. I am gettIng better at not doing this but I am a work in progress.

    Friday weigh in

    Cw 181.8
    Pw 183.2
    Ltw 1.4.lb

That's 94.2lb gone and only 5.8lb left to my goal weight! Working hard for it, as I can't wait for this to be done!!!

Well done on your weight loss to date! That's quite an accomplishment!! But as someone who has gotten to goal weight or
close, a couple of times, if you don't have a plan for how to maintain, it will come back!! So although the mindset of losing weight is over, the process is not over. It has just changed to a maintenance mindset!
