HOW IT ALL WORKS: The March challenge runs for 5 weeks, from Feb 26 - April 1. F2F months always start on a Sunday and end on a Saturday, so adjust your calendars!

Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat thread. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!

We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leaderboard. Let's have a Green March!

To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):

If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you take a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or are moved to the Support Team for as long as you need to. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally.

Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone! You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team!

In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin!!

    Hi Everyone!

Welcome to all the new members! This team is super supportive and the motivators and captains are really great so you've been placed in a great group.

My name is Samantha and I'm 41 years old, live in Mississauga Ontario, Canada and have 2 mostly wonderful kids aged 12 and 8.

My daily goals for March are basically the same as February, but with minor modifications.

✅Hit my daily Garmin step goal (currently 8500)
✅Hit my water goal (96 oz) - Increase from 84 oz
✅Stay under my calorie goal in MFP
✅Move my body a minimum of 20-30mins daily (gym, walking, yoga, cardio dance etc.)

@Megan_smartiepants1970 I'd like to increase my step challenge goal to 8,000 this month.

Feel free to add me as a friend if you want!

Will up your step goal as soon as I get the spreadsheet done :)

Hi all~ newbie here and learning the site, when to post, how to post, and where to post :). Forgive me if I mess it up!

Feeling pretty positive about this experience and building community with like-minded. I errantly posted my general deetz in February so won't repeat them, just wanted to say hi!

We will be posting here for the month of March starting on 2/26 because we always start on a Sunday...Wishing you much success :)

@lindamtuck2018 Could I please change my weigh-in day to Wednesday? I had chosen Tuesday as that was the day I registered but Wednesdays would be easier for me. Thanks.

Hi team! I’m one of your newbies, my name is Michelle, I am a 52 year old mom of two. My son is 19, my daughter turns 18 in April. I live in the North State of California, originally from the Bay Area & Sacramento region.

I’ve always felt like I’ve struggled with my weight, even though I look back at pictures and I wonder why I ever thought so little of myself. I guess that’s the real struggle with me, self worth. I really started gaining weight when I was about 30. After my kids I got up to 214 by age 37 and went through a transformation. I took control of my health, started tracking calories and worked out a lot. At age 40, I was in the best shape of my life! Heck, I was even a success story in Shape Magazine. I stopped tracking my calories, my trainer moved towns and I never really connected with another one (I live in a pretty small county). By June of 2021 I had ballooned up to 251.9. That’s when I came back to MFP and started making changes. Today, my scale read 211.7…. 40 pounds down, but I have yet to fully take back control of my life and my health.

So, here I am. Ready to take this to the finish line and stay there this time.

    My goals for March:
    • Calorie range: 1200-1600
    • Water: 3 liters a day
    • Exercise: gym three days a week
    • Exercise: long walks at the river 3 days
    •. Nutrition: protein 85g & fiber 25g

Please add me to the step challenge: 10,000 steps per day
Welcome to our team Michelle... I too live in California (lived in Sacramento, Woodland and Fresno ..I now live in Visalia and I have 2 kids I am also 52

Hello team! My name is Terrie and I live in British Columbia, Canada. I am turning <choke> 60 this year and plan to be in my best shape ever! I am quite active but keep proving to myself that I can't out exercise a calorie heavy diet. I have lost and regained the same 10 to 20 pounds since my 20's!! I would like to be a loser for the long haul this time.

I have 2 grown handsome boys, a wonderful (and also handsome) husband who supports me in all things, and a feisty 2 yr old australian shepherd.

Looking forward to the next month with all of you! #sexyatsixty

I was in Woodland as well! Probably about 25+ years ago. Sacramento three times, lol… college, work and then Lincoln. I’ve lived in too many cities (13) because of the work I used to do. I’m happily settled In Tehama County for the last 18 years

Hi! I am GirlOnTheRebound, I am 55 years old and 5'8". I am a Canadian girl who fell in love with an American and now live in Florida. I am the proud momma to a son (35) daughter (30) and a stepson (14). I have battled with my weight practically my entire life, only seriously attempting twice in the past 3 years. This is my third attempt and I feel empowered. I did weight watchers and had success but need more nutrient details so I am back to MFP. My exercise of choice is my rebounder (hence my name) and walking. In the Florida summers I like to swim and the winters I walk and bike. I am not a good eater. I cook our meals and eat out for date nights. I am learning how to eat enough while trying to lower sodium and cholesterol. I know this can be done as I have already lost enough to be off a CPAP. Full disclosure, I am stubborn and rarely used it so losing weight was my only option. I have a fitbit and have learned how my active steps greatly impact my weight loss. I have gone from 271 lbs to 218 lbs taking baby steps and learning what works for me. I am far from knowing all the answers but I do know I just need to keep trying. I have not determined a goal weight but I am aiming for 195 lbs at this time. Not sure when I was under 200 but I think I was around 20.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for inspiring.

@megan_smartiepants1970 I would like to join step challenge for 9000 please

Parts off your story are really like mine! I started at age 58, 276lb my goal was 197lb. Having got there I moved my goal to 182lb. I'm currently 184 and moved the goal to 175lb. Think that will be it! It's taken me 18 months with a couple of gain/ lose the gain months in there!! I'm also a swimmer/walker with a fitbit!
Well done on your loss so far, I can see your determination and know you'll reach your goal weight!

Thank you. I feel determined. Thank you for your words and your insight. It really does help to see others on the same journey walk a similiar path and are succeeding.
