What was your favorite NSV from yesterday?
Is it something you've experienced in the past or is it something you'd like to have as a future goal?0 -
Today I am trying oats bananas and berries for breakfast instead of my usual huel milkshake.. I want to see how long this fills me up.. I did this to decrease my bf calories from 400 to around 300
I just finished at around 9 am I will let you know when I feel hungry again and have my second meal 😊3 -

Awesome NSVs, congrats to all!
Apr 16: Tracked and I only went over by the cranberry juice. That's an improvement over Friday and Saturday so I'll consider today a success. However I didnt exercise today: I had a bad night and the day was busy: hosted a brunch for our daughter before we went to a musical play. The recipe I chose for brunch wasn't too bad in calories: Baked Blueberry French Toast with Struessal Topping. It was nice to have a special day that took us outside of our usual routine.2 -

Add a form of protein to it, remove the banana, and increase the berries to give you the 300.3 -

I had a bilateral exploratory surgery on my throat on Thursday in Phoenix for hyperparathryoidism. (Assuming most are not familiar with this disease, the parathryoids are 4 glands, normally the size of a grain of rice, that usually sit behind the thyroid and hormonally control calcium regulation in the body. Dysregulation causes multiple systemic effects such as bone density depletion, kidney stones, and digestive, cardiological and neurological symptoms.)
My husband and I drove there and my son flew in to take turns with my husband for the 16 hour drive back. I am so pleased that the surgery seemed to be a great success and the surgeon found and removed the gland with what appeared to be an adenoma (benign tumor), that is the most coomon cause of this illness. More than 95% of the time, a successful surgery is a cure for this horrible disease, although it can take up to a year for the calcium regulation system to rebalance and to find out which symptoms are going to go away, because many of the symptoms, like brain fog, fatigue, anxiety, depression, constipation, and acid reflux, can also be caused by other things.
Today I got back to tracking more carefully what I eat. Unfortunately, one pair of pants felt a little tight-- I am up about 5 pounds from my lowest weight as I have not wanted to cut calories too low in this pre- and post- surgery process. I have to take an extra 1600 mg of calcium this week, with food, so that is a little challenging too. So I am re-committing to focusing the diet part of my health.10 -

So glad to know your surgery went well and was a success Susan 💛 Being on an IV drip of saline causes quite a bit of water retention. Take good care of yourself as your body heals.1 -

Walking along the creek bed path today with the pups it felt like spring is on the way. Got home to a “special weather statement” alert — snowstorm on the way in. This winter is interminable. 🫤
Tracked it all an right on base calories.
