    7,584 steps ❤️❤️❤️
Most of it in soft sand :)

I looked back at the last 24 weeks of my weekly step counts.

Last week was higher than 20 of the weeks!!

    Ever onwards!

Our three day getaway was very important for me. Lots of nature, birds, animals sighted!

Food will need to be a focus now.
I have fallen into some bad habits.
    But I am motivated!

I need to focus on developing a pattern to my
    Meals again.

Did our trail walk with hubby yesterday we call it the walk to the red gate it’s a vehicle barrier and all that can get by is foot, bike, horse or small atv traffic. I tried walking with a fanny bag with weights waiting for a rucking vest to arrive. A good workout took some re shifting of my bag as I thought the weights would stay in the side bottle holders NOPE! I think the vest will work nicely it’s suppose to be a good resistance and cardio workout along with helping to keep bones strong. Will see.

@snowshoe072 , I got interested in rucking just before I broke my ankle last November. I need to try it now that I’m healed. I look forward to hear it how it’s going for you.

@MadisonMolly2017, your getaway sounds lovely! Oh, I want to do some walking in sand. It’s so cool that you are increasing your steps.

    8. Sunday - 4,857 steps 🚶‍♀️ recovery day after all that dancing
    9. Monday - 3.2 miles on bike 🚴 and 10,778 steps 🚶‍♀️

Week 2 of October average steps 10,539 so that meets my goal! And I biked 5 days this week for a total of almost 14.1 miles.

    12. Thursday- 3.2 miles on bike and 8,294 steps 🚶‍♀️
    13. Friday- 17,100 🚶‍♀️including dancing 💃
    14. Saturday- 3.6 miles on bike 🚴 and 8,635 steps 🚶‍♀️

@donna25trinity I love the leaving work on time goal - brilliant !

@snowshoe072 - 8# sounds like a great amount of weight to start with. It’s always best to start low and work up instead of overdoing at the start.

@TerriRichardson112 - dancing really is the best kind of exercise!

Well worked for almost 2 hr doing various yard work tasks didn’t even know the vest was there comfort wise. The weight was good perhaps a walk with it today unless the rain comes back in.

I’ve been smiling ear to ear at your updates! Lots of walking this Walktober! Maddie, I’m so glad you have an orthotic! I got an ankle foot orthotic (AFO) several months ago and it’s helped my walking and my confidence a lot. I’m less likely to trip and fall. Not sure if you have an AFO or another orthotic, but I’m so happy to hear that you can walk more!

@77tes, love the story about your ballroom dance leader. Staying active certainly is a key to aging well!

I have also been walking more this month and have enjoyed walks in my backyard as fall unfolds. Fall in New England is just lovely…here’s my view:

What gorgeous autumn photos, @themedalist! I’ve always wanted to see that. There’s not much to see in L.A. in the fall. After we retired the first time, my husband and I took a car trip to New England to enjoy the fall foliage. Unfortunately, we arrived to find pouring rain, so the leaves had all been knocked down. We did however, get to see the changing aspens in Colorado.

    Improving my steps for sure.
Step count today in the 8,000’s. Best since Aug 18th!! And many uphills & downhills in the mountains

Foot still hurt a couple of times but I’m optimistic that it will heal.

The scale was the highest today since April 30 2018
    5 years & 5 months ago.
I tracked my food today. That and the hike were my two goals for today.

I am reminding myself that my life is precious & unique (as is everyone’s) because I think that will help me to improve my habits to where they were for so long.
