Hi all! Sorry it's been awhile so i am enjoying catching up on here. I'm in Northwest NJ so we got pounded last week twice with snow. This week it's just been 10-29 degrees so nothing has melted. Today got up to 34 so we've had stuff melting but we also have rain.
@kaliswalker -lol I'm not from Canada but those would be my jars too!

@Tabatha_Cain -aw good call to stay home from church. Our church is midway up a major road. The road isn't plowed well and the parking lot is even worse. If it's iffy, we stay home. And i am glad your office was closed. If it's a sheet of ice, there probably won't be a lot of customers. Lots of places around here are known for stating "opening at 11 due to ice"
@Dianedoessmiles1 -how are the roads there? How much snow did you guys get last week?

Another nice day here, it started to thaw so we worked on the clearing off the patio. It is so nice to be able to walk out the front door and not have to crawl over the snow bank. And now the UPS guy can get to the door.
@tabatha_Cain the only time our cats get in on the bed is when I take a nap and let them up. We have always had the rule that pets don't belong in the bedroom, but I enjoy their company once in awhile. Kenny wants to cuddle up, and Shorey wants his place at the foot of the bed.

    Good Morning Airport Friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Thursday and I am hoping that it will be a good day. I did get a membership last night right before closing. So I am hoping that I will be able to get the last 6 memberships in the next couple of days. I am out of the office on Monday the 29th due to having the Bariatric Doctor appointment. It is our 2 month check in and readjusting things that have not worked and discussing adding exercise. I have already been exercising, but Joe is listening to the doctor and not exercising to make sure he got the food down. Since I have been exercising for years I could not not exercise. I have to have that or I get depressed.

@bookieNJ - So sorry you got a massive snow dump. We have people in our life group that are in the Buffalo area and they got 70 inches of snow. How much did you get? We started yesterday with the rain as well. It is melting a lot. Yeah we really thought we would just have a delayed start as well, but our boss messaged that we were closed for the day.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - We do have the kitties scratching at the door. We just have to ignore it and give extra cuddles during the day when we are home.
@imustloseit1 - It is always good that the UPS man can get to the door. We just sleep so much better without the animals. Although once in a while I do love my cuddles from my cats.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.

Another good day here even if this as about the 3rd day of fog, cloudy, and absolutely no sun shine. I do miss that. Got a call this morning from son 2 asking how we were feeling and beings we are both okay, he said they were coming this weekend to install the new flooring. Him and his wife do it as a team job, and we just have to stay out off there way. That shouldn't be to hard, but I dearly love my DIL and will miss our talks as she will be doing all the cutting and son does all the laying. Just have to do the meals, and that shouldn't be to hard, except DIL doesn't eat pork, just can't stand it, She says it stinks,, so I always have chicken for her, maybe Meat Loaf, of Tator Tot casserole, those always goes over really well. Naybe ever Chili and Grilled cheese sandwichs. WE will have to see what I come up with. Have a great evening and that a little ME TIME. Linda

@Tabatha_Cain, WOOHOO Tabatha on the booking! YEAH!! You are doing so well!! With the cats, they'll adjust. LOL it's hard to get them into a different routine, but once they adjust they'll be fine.
@Kurtize, In the 50s is just way to warm for me this time of year!! i do not mind fog though. Today we woke up with DIAMONDS ALL AROUND US!! Yup! Freezing rain last night, sun this AM GORGEOUS!
@Imustloseit1, Hey, can we ALL come over for food? YUMMY!! How terrific it is you and your DIL are close!! That's the way it should be, but sadly it's not always. ENJOY the new floor!! That sounds very exciting!! Hopefully, at night you can all enjoy each other unless they're traveling back and forth or staying some place else.

    Good Morning Airport Friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Friday and I am looking forward to this weekend and being able to relax. Yesterday at work they started a call session tracker. So I have to log all the calls I make offering people memberships. I have to check off if I dialed a number, then another check if they answered, a check if I got a membership, a check if they said ok to an auto quote, and an explanation as to why they declined the auto quote. So that is going to take a lot of my day. I was only able to get about 34 calls in yesterday because it takes so long to fill out that piece of paper. Then at the end of the day I have to email it to my boss. I get both sides of it. It will protect me if I don't meet my goals, showing the effort I put into it, so I get it. Change is just upsetting for me. I will get used to it. I am sure.

@imustloseit1 - Those foods all sound amazing. I am partial to the chili. I love venison chili and I make it a decent amount. I think I made it in December last and I am thinking of making it again this month. Probably this weekend. That is awesome that you are getting new flooring. Even more awesome that your son and his wife are installers for it. Where are you putting the new flooring? I need my living room, porch, and kitchen redone. It is going to cost a lot. I am thinking of doing it myself.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - Yes I am sure they will be. Although the kitties are not liking the change process right now. We have one that will wait by our bedroom door so that as we open it she darts in and then hides under the bed so we cannot get her out. So we always have to slowly open the bedroom door and rush inside or rush out of the bedroom by squeezing our body between the door and the door frame to keep her out.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Friday.

@Tabatha_Cain , My Mom always did our flooring. Maybe that was a thing back at that time? Maybe not, I am not sure. But, she did am AMAZING JOB!! She didn't make any errors that I saw and LOLOLOL I am such a BRAT I DID LOOK!! Not to fault her though, but because the woman was simply AMAZING!! ITs easy to see where I get my "I'll TRY THAT" attitude!! My Mom was this way, and of course I learned from her, and no doubt genetics play into that also. HAVE FUN with it!! Ask questions over and over from those who have done such. ITs from my Mom also I learned to stay UP with the trends I like and not to be pressured by those I DO NOT! ENJOY the weekend!

    Good Morning Airport Friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Saturday and Joe woke me up early. I am sure I will have to take a nap later. I can already feel it starting to creep in that I might need one soon since we have been up since 3 this morning. Yesterday at work went well. I made 38 calls and only 10 people answered. No one wanted a free associate membership though as they had no one in the household to give it to for free. So that makes it rough. I am trying though. I have 4 memberships right now and I am logging all my calls so they cannot say it is from lack of trying. It is just people are not answering their phones. So that makes it rough. Everyone sends me to voicemail. But atleast I have the log they gave me to use to show my effort.

@Dianedoessmiles1 - That is cool. I know my mom did a lot also, but she was raised with 4 brothers, so she just tagged along and learned stuff with them. If she did not know one of her brothers did and they would come over and help her. Well my uncles are a lot older now and not in the shape they used to be for helping. My husband is pretty good at some stuff. We are big on if we don't know we will watch a video on how to do it though. He fixed the bedroom door, and yesterday my husband fixed the vanity medicine cabinet in the bathroom. It looks better than it did before. He is so proud of himself, and I am too.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday.

Good afternoon, everyone! It is a mostly cloudy day here today. My daughter says hello to all. She's working at her part time job today. Both budgie birds are doing well and say cheep, cheep! I went for a short run earlier this morning and I really enjoyed it. I went for a walk after lunch and I feel great! I'll be doing some dancing later on. Have a great day, everyone! Take care and stay safe.

@Tabatha_Cain, I am sure thanks to SCAMMERS many no longer answer their phones. I know I DO NOT!! I did answer one today (WHY?? WHY!!???? LOL) it was a 207 (Maine is one area code one of the only 12 states that do in the US) and a Saturday. It wasnt a scam though I DID have fun. There's a man who had this number before 2012 and he STILL USES IT!! He's NOT A NICE PERSON!! He skips out on rents and bills. I've gotten calls from the Sheriff Department threatening me (LOL no matter how much I told them I AM NOT HIM OR HIS WIFE they thought I was lying for a little bit, until I told them to please put my number into the database, BINGO! It came up to ME!) so now I say and the person today I told them "if he's trying to rent a place from you DO NOT DO IT!" he thanked and thanked me! LOLOL hey the guy should use a different number. I did giggle. I'm not at all surpised many do not answer. I am glad you get to track the amount of calls you make etc. GREAT JOB Joe in fixing the door!! It's amazing the things we can do by watching and understanding a video!! I have fixed up furniture after it looks AMAZING! Oh and COOKING!! I hated to cook (I am not wild about it still, but I love the stuff I cook!) now when I eat out I am at times so disappointed because LOLOL Mine tastes better! Hope you enjoyed the day!
@Cormierannie, Glad you got so much done!! NO DOUBT your team LOVES the exercise you do and the WOOHOO attitude you have!
@Kurtize, Aww we also hope you had a most lovely day Joyce!! I love being at peace with myself (98% of the time) it just feels good Hope helps us to move forward! WOOHOO!!!

I hope you are doing well this morning. Today is Sunday and it is Church from home day. Next week we will be going up to church. We may actually go stay with Joe's parents. Not sure yet. Depends on if they are sick, or if I can get my son to come watch the dogs that weekend. Probably not, I may have to look at kenneling them. That might be something we should think about doing. It might actually be a good idea. Then I would be able to guarantee that the puppies get their medicine.

@Dianedoessmiles1 - That is true. Most calls now a days are scams. So most people don't answer their phone. Although you would think with the number tied to AAA that it would not come across as a scam. Now it makes me think my number at work may possibly come up as potential scam. When I get to work on Monday I am going to call myself and see how it comes up. That was awesome of you to tell that person to not rent an apartment to whoever has been using your phone number. I am sure that person really appreciated it. That landlord now gets to save himself a lot of hassle.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

@Tabatha_Cain, My brother kennels his dog, his VERY SPOILED DOG!! LOLOL Hey Buddy is a cool pup!! The kennel loves Buddy also and spoils him also!! Rick had held back doing that, but now that they found one they TRUST and Buddy loves going, it's all good. You may really love it. Most calls if I do not know who they are, I allow it go to voicemail. If they leave a message, I'll start to listen to it and decide if its worth my while. Calling our phone is a good dea!! I'm finally going on a trip, but we did the arrangements on our own. If it was a REAL TRIP it's a good idea to use an agency though! Things can go so wrong suddenly and it's best to be fully prepared. Plus LOLOL though we are always willing to pay big, we do not mind saving at the same time!! It's just to SAY I GOT A REALLY GOOD DEAL!! Even when not needed. Our trip to NY is go on Tues stay over night, take a tour we want to do on Weds (religious) and come back Thurs. That's a QUICK one, but we are doing it in STYLE!

    Good Evening Everyone!

Lots of chatting going on and glad to see it.

I can definitely understand my weekly account of my happenings can be tiring. I am tired and catch up on sleep every weekend.

My Son is doing great but that is completely normal. We treat him like an adult and avoid triggering him. He has rules and responsibilities as well.

This week I was down 2.5 lbs. Work has been busy as always. Had a speed rack fall on me on Wednesday full of meat with minor injuries. It was partly my fault it happened. Worked 6 days this week. But back to 5 days next week. Definitely going to enjoy having Friday's and Saturday's off. Tonight is D-day for the decision if buses go on strike or not. Will find out by morning. Plan to check-in again on Friday as it will most likely be the next chance I get.

woo hoo, the floor is done!!!!!! It looks so nice, but son and I, and everyone else are just shot. We have 2 steps down into the living rooms, and it is curved, and it took us all yesterday after noon just on that, and Terry, son, says he will never do another curved stair way, they will either be square or forget it. But it is done and we even got the big furniture move back in the room. Tomorrow, I am doing Nothing, phycial. I am total shot and there isn't a bone that doesn't ache. DIL had other family to see, so I was doing what I could to help, and at 80, I am not a spring chicken anymore and I ache in place that haven't had a work out like this in years. But, it sure was worth the agony, even hubby is surprised on how it makes the room look bigger. Now to figure out where all the doodad and pictures and things will go, as we are moving the furniture around that was in there, Fun, fun, but that is going to wait a couple day. Now, it recliner time with 2 fur babies that have had their whole life upended, lol Take care. and it going to be early to bed tonight. Linda

    Good Morning Airport Friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Monday and normally it would be a work day for me. I however am off today as we have an appointment with the Bariatric Doctor today. This is our 2 month follow up. I am hoping that she is ok with the minimal weight loss I have had. I know she is going to be surprised at the weight loss Joe has had. It is am amazing change. I swear he has lost almost 20 pounds in 2 months. While I have lost 3 pounds. Not cool. I am struggling. Although she did say no exercise while we are trying to figure out the food macros. Just concentrate on tracking the food and eating the right macros. I have thrown in walking several times, but I mostly do stretching and housework as my exercise. I am going stir crazy here though. I love walking. I need to get out and walk.

@Dianedoessmiles1 - That is good that you are taking a trip. You deserve one. Even a quick one. My son is the one who throws a fit about kenneling the dogs. We did so for a week back when my daughter got married in 2021. One of our dogs refused to eat the whole week and lost 5 pounds. To be fair she was a chunker. She weighed 16 pounds when she went in. She is a mini dachshund so she is only supposed to weigh at max like 8 pounds. She is currently 11.6 pounds still. So she has maintained her weight loss. I use a kennel attached to our vet office. So even though the vet office is closed I am sure if there was an issue the vet would come in and take care of it.
@CSEGUIN2 - It is always good to have rules and responsibilities. That is obviously what it is to be an adult. I hope the buses don't strike, but I know you said you got it covered if they do. I am glad you only had minor injuries from the rack falling on you. I am sure you will enjoy your time off.
@imustloseit1 - That is fantastic. So cool that you got the flooring done. I can bet that curved stair way was definitely a pain getting the angles just right. I agree that it is definitely recliner time for you. Spend time with those animals and enjoy the relaxation.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Monday.

@Imustloseit1 WOW!! That's a TON OF WORK!! Got any pictures to share? WOW!! I have NO DOUBT your body is screaming in places you didn't know it could! I'm in my 60s and cringing with you!! I can't imagine doing that!! But WOOHOO on it looking nice and being done!! CONGRATS!! Glad the heavy stuff is back in it too! I am sure it looks lovely!
@Tabatha_Cain, on our team, we are working one on one with many members. We had 12 members who lost, 10 who maintained and 4 who gained. The 4 who gained most were only 2 to 6 ozs! COOL!! It's not easy to lose!! I am one who lost, I had to UP my calories. We are finding many long term members tend to et not enough calories. Its the mind set of "I can't eat more" but the body will not lose if we do not. Of course for those who eat to much, it's a matter of not doing so, but to suddenly lose a lot of eating foods, is not going to work long term. But to slowly cut back that works. Oh it's so unfair how for many men all they have to do is slightly cut back and they LOSE BOKU Pounds, but or us? SIGH!! I am sure Joe is working hard at it, but SO ARE YOU!!! It's just different as we well know for men and woman. Awww I am sure your dog is adorable!! Or as we said on the Dawggie team: ADogable!! Hehehehehe!! I'm sure your S enjoys being with the dog and some time away from his normal routine though. COOL you found a place if needed. THANKS on the trip!! I'm going with 2 or 3 friends (one has many health issues if she can come and she badly wants to, WOOHOO if not it'll be 3 of us) we all get along very well. All 4 of us are very flexible and always look out for each other. It'll be a fun trip! One wants a room to herself and though we are totally to split the cost, she's insisting she'll pay for her own room. She found us such a GREAT DEAL on top of that!! For a rental when you work with people, do you ever suggest they rent a car from a car dealership? I was so surprised that can be done and it's cheaper with a guaranteed new car! WOOHOO on that!! We are doing this.
Also today found out TOMORROW I am going to see the surgeon for my parathyroid!! WOW! That was very very fast!! I have a ride (it's 28 miles away) and 2 more lined up thanks to one of the friends above arranging them for me. I COULD of arranged them, but she really wanted to. I'll catch you all up on how it went. Tabatha PLEASE CATCH US UP on how today went!! CURIOUS MINDS ARE ENQUIRING!

Hi all Hope you all had a great weekend and Monday. Don saw his new dermatologist . He really liked him and gave him more information than he has gotten in months. He feels he is in remission and is stopping some medications and UV treatments for 3 months. Next step is to find new doctors.
We are getting our porch covered and a ramp put in, they started work today. I completed My Jesus walk. Also planted another tree.

Hi all! Well yesterday my 7 lb chiweenie came in from outside totally out of it. Didn’t eat or drink anything. Didn’t run up the stairs following us. She was really panting and something was up with her back legs. Took her to the dr-back pain! Her breed is known for spine troubles. So she’s on prednisone for the next two weeks. No walks other than 10 steps out the door and back. This is my dog that walks 3 miles a day with me. So she gets crate time while I walk. First dose of medicine she te dinner and her mintie…hoping she figures to drink soon too.
@imustloseit1 -love your mfp name! Aw I hope you and the furbabies got good rest.
@Tabatha_Cain -congrats for Joe! That’s great. I hope they are able to help you succeed also!

Well, woke up this morning so stiff I thought if I moved that I would crack in many places, but it was up and at em had things to do. The first was getting hubbies laundry done, and then I start just cleaning the glass in the curio case and then it was putting some things back on the walls in that dining room, and by supper time I was forced to stop to make supper, and besides, I needed hubbies help, as I have my left arm that has a frozen shoulder and I can varily reach my nose, so there is no was I can hammer a nail in the wall, so after supper he helped with a couple of things. Called son this evening to ask him how he felt after the weekend and he said that this morning he helped unload a semi, then he went to his office and spent the rest of the day doing paperwork on the new building. I told him I took a long hot soak in the tub and feel some better. As long as I keep moving, it doesn't get so stiff, and he said that would probably feel good. Well, tomorrow will work a little more in there getting stuff put away, maybe attack the china hutch, that means washing all those dishes before they go in. At least I will have one room all done, and won't have to do any Spring cleaning in there. I still look at that room and can't beleave it is our dining room, it was so nice. Well, you all have a good night, and I will be joining you in dreamland very soon. Linda
