CW (Sat. Aug. 10th): 145.0 pounds (up 1.4 pounds)
My weights are wrong in the August spreadsheet
as it says 145.2 pounds for my starting weight but it should say 143.6 pounds
and it says 145.2 pounds for my weigh in this week (Aug. 4-10) but it should be 145.0 pounds.1 -

My 4-year-old cat passed away on Saturday after declining really quickly. I didn't really do much walking that day...I'm still pretty heartbroken, but I'm pushing through and know that I'll feel better for sticking to my new lifestyle while allowing myself to grieve.2 -
I still need people's steps for August week 1 ...Please get them in as soon as possible so that I can post the results...Thank you

@Megan_smartiepants1970 - Please excuse me from the Friday weigh-in this week as we're leaving tomorrow for the University of Alabama to drop off our 6' 3" baby (last of the 4 kids) as an incoming freshman. We're planning to take some time on the way back to stop along the way and spend a little time in Memphis (or maybe Nashville ... we're sort of winging it and will make a decision on Friday).
Yep - we'll officially be empty nesters (at least during the school-year for the next 4 years). Of course we'll miss him being around, but our trip to Italy (just Susan & I) for 16 days in October should help.5 -

I would rather do Italy. I've been to Hawaii several times (perks of having a husband from there and therefore family on the islands) and Italy twice and love them both so much. We try to go back to visit family in Hawaii every 1-2 years (We're actually heading back in January!). Hawaii is beautiful and of course, we love the family time. Italy though... there is just so much to explore and it's very accessible to other parts of Europe as well. I would go back any time the opportunity presents itself.2 -

Had an x-ray on my hip, it seems I did injure my hip. Will need to stay of my feet for a few weeks to give it time to heel. It still really hurts when I put my weight on it.
I did not see myself getting injured this way. Doctor said when you have osteoporosis it becomes easier to hurt yourself in such a simple way as I did.
I'm sorry, I really wanted to do this challenge. But, I think it's best to back out. Since I can't weigh or do any exercises for a few weeks. Doctor said it could be 4 to 8 weeks, and if it's not better by then, they may have to look at other options.

If you would like I can put you on support that way you can still talk to us but not worry about weigh in and such ...I too have osteoporosis so I know exactly what you are going thru ... I hope you feel better soon ...hugs2
