I'm sure we are all thinking of the destruction left by the hurricanes in the Southern USA.

Our dear friend and Co-Leader, @Dianedoessmiles1, spent the night in the ER. She was admitted for more tests. As I was posting the message above, I received a text from her saying that the tests revealed nothing, so they are sending her home. Please pray for Diane that the problem that sent her to the ER is healed and for her to be strengthened. Send positive wishes her way.4

@Dianedoessmiles1 - Prayers for this issue to be resolved and you can figure out what is going on. Hang in there! You're probably the most positive, toughest, persistent person I know. But even the best of us can get discouraged. Keep fighting, smiling and being who you are! And give Izzy and the mischief maker a hug from me. I sure miss having cats! I'm glad you have them in your life.2

@Dianedoessmiles1 - "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you." Isaiah 43:2. No matter the storm, God is with you. You will not be overwhelmed. Whatever the situation you are facing today, remember that God is walking with you. The waters will not sweep you away because His mighty hand is holding you firm, Trust in His strength and take comfort in His ever present help.1

Good Day Challengers! I was too sick to go to church this morning, but as I was spending time in prayer, it occurred to me that this topic is so underutilized.
We are a very diverse group, and we want everyone to feel accepted and valued because you are! Even if we have different beliefs, we can always send positive thoughts, say a few words, or share an inspirational meme. It's like sending a "Thinking of You" card through the mail.
I imagine that every one of us is facing some kind of struggle, even if it is the struggle to lose weight because we want to be healthy.
Most people feel like their problems are not important or are insecure about sharing. If that's you, just say something like, "I have some unspoken needs on my mind. Please support me in your thoughts, prayers, and meditations."
So, here is what I know and feel comfortable sharing. I know more, but it's not my place to post without permission. I know there are some who are facing illnesses, if not themselves, family members; many of our members have been affected by the hurricanes in the Southeast States of America; people have work and financial hardship, and the list goes on.
@kaliswalker is still ill from having covid.
@Dianedoessmiles1 has ongoing issues, as commented above.
For me personally most of you know I am a caregiver for my Mom, and I have been ill myself for the past 10 years. Mom and I both got covid with pneumonia in September. The after-effects are lingering. Weakness and a horrible cough that drains our energy and causes pain and headaches. We have both seen our PC 5 times since 9/10. We will be re-checked tomorrow and Tuesday. I am scheduled for cataract surgery on 10/28. I'd rather not have to postpone it because I am sick. Thank you for praying for us.

@Ceriusly1 sorry to hear you are still dealing with the ramifications of Covid. It is still with us and not going away. Good news you have a doctor who is paying attention.
@Dianedoessmiles1 i sending healing wishes your medical team can find out what is going in. When we go to the ER we know something is not right.
@kaliswalker sorry to hear you too are still dealing with Covid. I pray you get back to your old self very soon.

@Ceriusly1, Good way for members to let us know what's going on. TY TY TY TY!!! Covid sure can take us for a ride long after it's gone. As you know I had it in Sept, I'll have to go through my portal to see if the latest diagnosis changed after. I hadn't thought of it, but it sure does timing wise make sense.
TY TY Team for all of your lovely thoughts etc for me and the others. Awww you know we care about each of you, we've known some of you for years, others you are new with us. WELCOME!!

@Ceriusly1 ~ as the days get closer to your cataract surgery, please know that I am thinking of you and pulling for you. I've had that surgery in 2022 and it was a very good move. Although I can/should wear glasses with reading (or close work like crochet), most of the time I don't even need them! I hope that you find the same. I assume that you will have one eye at a time done. The biggest pain is giving yourself eye drops for what seems like 'every 5 minutes' but ... after a few weeks that all passes as well.0

Hello everyone! Please lift me up in your prayers as it pertains to my job. This job has been frustrating for over a year and I have been looking for a new job with no prospects. My stress level has been very high, where my migraines have been more frequent. I’m just trusting in the Lord and trying my best to hang in there. But it has been difficult.2

@Steviebee888 wishing you the best Stevie!! I went through that and took a lower paying job that I knew was stress-free. In the end, it worked out extremely well. I was promoted a few times making more money, still stress free. I am so sorry you are going through this.1

@Steviebee888 Trusting in the Lord is the very best thing you can do! Praying for His guidance to lead you and relieve the stress. I'm praying for total healing of the migraines in Jesus' Name!0

I was in Virginia for 5 months caring for my daughter who was diagnosed with ALS the first week of June. Over these months, she continued to decline, losing total mobility, then she had a pulmonary embolism in her chest. She was put on blood thinners and oxygen and sent home, where she immediately went on hospice. She was on hospice approximately 2 weeks when she began a rapid decline. Her breathing got worse and worse. One lung was not working and the other one was working only with the respirator. She was experiencing incredible pain in her limbs and was on morphine to ease that. Last weekend the nurse came on Saturday and told us she thought she would pass within 3 or 4 days. On Sunday night she began to breathe with short breaths. She couldn't open her eyes or communicate. She died at 10:03 pm Eastern time. She was surrounded by her husband, her children, her pastor, and us. Just before death, she opened her eyes and looked at each person individually. The pastor said a prayer for peace over her and at the moment he said Amen, the light went out of her eyes and they moved no more.
I can't even describe the hole within me filled with pain. She was my first child.6 -
@Dbeau57, hon I am crying as I read this. I am so sorry!! Sorry doesn't even begin to touch the pain you feel. There's no way for us to take that from you. If we could hon, we sure would. We are here for you though. Glad you came back to us. I know you are a person of faith, it's to be angry when that comes and to tell God you are, he understands, and he will hold you special and we also do.
I'm going to tag @Texastitcher so she can let your team know. Also, @Ceriusly1 and I am on your former team which includes from Sparks Spirited Under Dawggies, we are here with you I'll let them know and put the link in here.

@dbeau57 Losing a child is the hardest thing you will ever do. Take comfort in that you were there to comfort and care for her in her last months and you were with her in her final moment. Your DD knows how much you love her and you will see her again. The pain will lessen and in time the hole in your heart will get smaller. 😢💔😇
My deepest sympathies go out to you.

Prayers for comfort and healing. No words can soothe your pain , searching for words but can only come up with OH I am so sorry . Thankful you were able to be there with her , she was loved and knew that you were all there to say goodbye.0

@dbeau57 I am so sorry loss. We are suppose to die before our children. I can't even begin to know how you are feeling, but I know you are hurting. I pray that you will find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and that the Lord has taken her home. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you all.1

@dbeau57 I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost a friend to ALS just 3 years ago and I saw how heartbreaking it is. For it to be your own daughter, I can't even imagine the pain you feel. You and your families are in my thoughts and hugs and condolences for you all.1

Please pray for my Mom! She fell on her face yesterday and fractured a bone in her neck. I praise God it was not worse. I helped her up, and she walked, talked, and moved her head. She said it was painful but didn't want me to call the ambulance. I did anyway. I don't know which bone. She will be in a collar for months and in the hospital at least three days. Please also pray that I will have the strength and energy to care for her.3

@steviebee888 Sending prayers your way that you find something else. It is so unhealthy to be working in an environment like that. Having gone through such in the past, I know what you are going through. Hugs.0 -
@Ceriusly1 So sorry to hear about your mother. I dislike when seniors fall... Sending healing prayers her way. Hugs. Lise0
