@globalhiker Missing steps for the 16th and the 26th.

    Apologies Pupowl!
16th=no steps (bad weather day away)
26th=did 2 gym classes in the a.m., which equals at very least 8,000 so please use this estimate

So far the week has been okay.

Yesterday was a bit bleh, since I waited WAY too long to eat and overate on some less-than-ideal foods. My dad is finally over his cold, but now I feel a little under the weather, which is both expected and kinda sucky. Even so, I woke up this morning, took my dogs for a long walk, made up some seitan (I keep dipping into low-protein territory, so I'm trying to prioritize fixing that) for easy sandwiches, and did some chores. I also have soup and casserole for the rest of the week, so if I get sick, I'll have plenty of low-effort meals.

@angmarie28 Please double check your steps for the 28th. Looks like there is an extra digit.

The boys were tired and cranky yesterday so I squeezed in an extra walk to calm them a little. I also walked on the treadmill for 60 minutes.

While I am enjoying the treadmill walks more than I anticipated, I'm starting to miss running. I know my hip still isn't up for it, so I'm trying to be patient. I'm also starting to worry about being prepared for a 10k race I have planned in January. I'm hoping I'll be able to get back to training next week, but we'll see. I'm not feeling to optimistic about it right now.

@Zaxa2021 I've dealt with lingering injuries in the past, so I totally feel you on this. It's tough to stay patient, especially when you're missing running. I was going to suggest biking or stationary biking if your hip can handle it, or maybe strength and mobility exercises to keep everything strong and balanced while you heal. Your body will tell you when it's ready for the next step! I also love running, moreso because its my main social activity that I look forward to each week.

Weather is FINALLY going to cool down enough to spend more time outside. It seemed like it was becoming the summer that never ends. That will give me more flexibility on when I'm able to do my outdoor walks, especially on the days that we have appointments to work around.

I'm hoping to get the Halloween 3 mile badge on Garmin today. I found out the hard way that treadmill walks don't count for that. So I'm going to try to get out for a longer walk this afternoon.

    Hi All

I caught up on the posts and I am sending hugs and love to those going through a difficult time. Some of those have been shared in the group and I'm sure there are some that have been unshared. The hugs and love goes out to all. <3

I've been MIA for a couple days - had some life stressors on my mind and heart. Also some good stuff...

My birthday was Monday! I took PTO. My boyfriend planned the most special day for me. I've been wanting to go on my first horseback ride for years. We did that together <3 I'm looking forward to doing that again. I suggested two different restaurants - he took me to a French restaurant I've been wanting to try as well. A wonderful birthday overall - feeling very grateful (which takes away from the age I just turned...shhh)

I had my annual performance review at work yesterday. The second half of my fall semester started recently, we are in week 2. I have 44 days left until I receive my bachelor's and certificate!

@Pupowl happy to see you updates and pictures again
@Cyncia85 Happy Belated Birthday! Glad you had such a lovely one. Must be very satisfying to be so close to that educational achievement.
@CasandraW I hope your recovery is smooth and speedy. I have been doing some just dance on the wii, had forgotten how fun it can be.
@sunshinezombiegirl1 it has been quite a few years since I went to a corn maze, great way to get steps
@DaffyGirl88 I have faith in your potluck resistance abilities, it is not futile😂
@angmarie28 glad you and yours are safe and sound and were able to find a replacement car so quickly.
@LenGray hope you are feeling better and bonus points for prepping and setting yourself up for future successes
@Zaxa2021 glad the weather is starting to cooperate with you. Have you done yoga with the boys? I think I remember hearing/reading that it can be beneficial?

@p8m6bwghh9 Wow - the snow! It's beautiful to me. It is almost 90 degrees where I live right now.

@Cyncia85 Happy Belated Birthday! Sounds like you had a great day.

@CasandraW Glad your surgery is over. Prayers said that it was successful. To be one-handed for a week will be tough, but you'll be so glad when it's gone and your finger is straight again!

    @DaffyGirl88 Potlucks are so tough!
