OMG! Melanie managed to post on Thursday! The world has shifted on it's axis!

Way to walk Weight No More!

A new challenger rises! Let's hear it for @miscanon3617, top of the leaderboard this week! And what an amazing jump in steps from the previous week!

Our bolded member set a step goal for the week and met it! @andja87 -- I put you down with the same goal for October--is that what you want?

If you want to join the step challenge for December:
Just post your steps by the end of Wendnesday after the week ends. I'm flexible and might wait a day or two for you. If we're 'friends', I may drop a personal note to you to check in. If we aren't, and you'd like a personal note, send me (melaniedscott) a friend request.

Part of the challenge or new and want to add or update a goal?
If you want to... be bold (heehee), let us know how many steps you want to hit every day on average and we'll keep track of it for you!

For anyone confused about where we are ...
This is post is for Dec 1-7. For those interested in joining the December step challenge (you can join any time!), the week of December 8 (12/8-12/14) steps should be posted by Wed, December 18th.

    Awesome walking steps team!

    WEEKLY WEIGH-IN
    minstrelofsarcasm
    December Week 2

    Current Weight: 179.9lbs (FINALLY)
    Previous Weight: 181.4lbs
    Loss to Date: 54.1lbs

My weight has not budged in a while, and I think this is ever so slightly below where I started the year, but I am also 100% positive that I have lost weight (it's even noticeable in my stomach!) and gained muscle, so I am not super upset about my weight not changing so much over this past year.

Sorry, I don’t see how to reply yet. @ministralofsarcasam asked about reaching this goal. It isn’t real until I see it a couple of times on the scale (I am the Queen of the pop back when I see a low number). But I cannot get discouraged when I hit the plateaus. Must keep moving the needle forward.

I seem to be hovering around the same weight, which is not a bad thing. I’m so close to my goal weight, I hope I can lose an extra pound or two just before the new year and get onto maintenance calories 🤞🏻

Foot is terrible, but thank you for asking @melaniedscott. I’m happy to participate in the step challenge even though my steps will not be many. No real solution to my problem after 3 1/2 months of not being able to walk well and lots of pain. But, I’ll do what I can as far as steps are concerned.

A little bit of Xmas present shopping, I now have a few more bits. Back into town on Tuesday to do more plus get some of the normal stuff.
Tomorrow I will be a busy day.
Kids helped sort the living room, all because they wanted to do Xmas decorations & tree. Bonus was more bits went in the loft (things that didn't go up the last time they went in there) so more space.

What do you think of self care hampers?
I was thinking of doing them for my four nieces, they are 29, 27, 21,and 15. One just had a baby.

If by self care hamper you mean a basket with stuff for mani-pedis, lotions, bubble bath/bath salts (for actual bath, not the drugs), fancy soap, chocolate (or favorite fancy candy), candles, cozy socks, exfoliating stuff, gratitude journals or spa certificates and things like that, it sounds awesome.

But make sure it's something they will use--bubble bath/bath salts/bath bombs don't do much for me. Two for examples:
    1. When I was little, bubble baths sounded awesome but it turns out the reality isn't as nice at my daydreams and I just don't.
    2. If they have scent/skin sensitivity issues, a lot of self care products can aggravate those.
