Lazy day - only 30 mins on the recumbent. Better than nothing I guess.

Shelley you may have found your calling after retirement. You could be a fitness trainer. You are very motivating. Lord knows I need a little push. Would love to workout with you.

Paula you will get back to onederland. Just a matter of time.

Kathy, your 30 mins of movement is so much better than zero mins of movement...which was my yesterday!!
Today I did see my trainer for a 60 min workout...it was pretty hard. Collin was tough this morning because we couldn't go for a walk...we have RAIN here in Northern California!! The hour we spend outside gives Pat a break, and I'm just pushing a stroller and talking crazy Grandma talk to him. Sometimes he falls asleep and sometimes not, but we aren't chasing him around and making sure he doesn't hurt himself. My trainer gave me a little table that fits perfectly up to his little blue chair. He is so excited to sit and have us read to him and show him books he can play with...opening little doors or windows to see creatures. The Halloween book he loves as pop up pictures and he plays like they scare him or are eating his fingers. He's so funny!
I made a new soup today. Pat really likes it. I hope Ronan will like it too. We'll see.
Have a great weekend my friends.

Kathy You might be right. I would like to lead classes to seniors. It would be beneficial to us all. And I am hoping we can meet and workout together. 30 minutes is a habit. Keep building on it.

Chris Collin must also look forward to your walks. Great workout by the way.

Short 40 minutes at the gym. Legs and abs. Tomorrow is a weight workout. Then I need to clean.

Guess who forgot to put her watch on until 1:15 this afternoon??
Glad I didn't walk in this 27 mph wind after the rain this morning!! We did get all our chores done, tho. I have no plans to exercise today. :o
    Love you ladies!

Yesterday was 30 on recumbent and arms and back workout. Going Christmas shopping withh Ron at his request. I think he wants me to give him a clue on what to get me. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Chris it’s wonderful how much you help out your daughter and SIL. Those boys will keep you and Pat young.

Back in the land of the living after a day without power. Having a generator makes all the difference. When Derek moved out, he left me the good generator. Starts on the first tug. Called him to say Thanks.

    small blessings,

Paula I need to learn how to use my generator. It is rather large though. Can run our entire household. Glad you and Derek are still friends.

    Kathy
Help a guy out. Make it something frivolous.

Chris I do that all the time. I don't track my steps often. I should for the motivation though.

Worked out this morning at the gym. Full body workout. My daughter starts her new job late January. In Oregon. I am rather depressed and a bit angry over her moving so far away. I never had a choice in moving. This is her decision.

Okay, Shelley...how many steps do you have right now? I have 588 at 10:41 a.m. I am going to put on my walking shoes and go to the post office. I will get my 10,000 steps today. Perhaps the only day this week! :D:D:D My weight is way up and my motivation is way down. Seventeen days until January 1st. Will that be the start of Weight Down, Motivation Up?? YES!!!!
Kathy, Pat and I just tell each other to "Get whatever you want for Christmas!" Works for us! You should see my stack of books!
Paula, what Shelley said...Cool that you and Derek are friends.
Okay, my friends, gotta go to the mail box 2.7 miles away and back.

Okay, 5.54 miles in 110 mins to the post office and back. The only problem, besides the 48 degree weather, was the post office mail box was FULL and you could see a whole bunch of mail shoved in right up to the top. I brought my mail home. I will try again tomorrow.
13,780 steps at 2:00 p.m. I must get coffee now and put on a jacket cuz it's cold in here!! :D

Okay so we stopped in the Apple Store while we were at the mall. Ron loves that place. I was looking at IPads and an Apple Watch. I really want an Apple Watch. I’m done with Fitbits. I’ve had 4. I’ll let you ladies know if I get one for Christmas. 😉

Chris I don't hardly ever look at how many steps I get. I still like the FitBit better for steps. I love the Apple for most other things. Will have to look at it later and figure it out better. The FitBit was easier to keep a record.
Glad you got your mail. Hard to believe that everyone there has to go to the post office. What a crowded place it must be.

Kathy I hope you do get your Apple watch. You will need different bands to go with your dresses.

Walked the dogs today. No going to the gym today. Back at it tomorrow.

Shelley, we can leave our out-going mail in our mail box and our mail lady will take it. We don't have as many mail boxes around town like we used to have. They were getting vandalized too much. I just walk to the post office to get all my steps in. I don't remember it being that stuffed on a Sunday!! It is Christmas time. A lot of Christmas cards going out...except mine :D .
We had Collin this morning, I had my trainer at noon for a 60 min workout then we had Ronan in the afternoon. It was a full day!
Sara and SIL made cookies for everyone. Turns our Collin raided the ones with the chocolate Kiss on top...the Kiss is missing from all those cookies now. :D What a Sweet Heart!!

Had Collin Duty this morning and cleaned house for our housekeeper. Ronan is here now. We took Christmas bears across the street to the large family that lives there. About 9 or 10 people including the adults. Everyone got a bear. There are grown up kids but we have know them for the past 12 years. The oldest ones use to go over to the school yard and play on the playground equipment when they were little while we took Bean over to run around. That was before it became a real school three or so years after we moved here. Anyway, Ronan went with me and we had all the bears in Collins's stroller. It was fun and funny!! Now we will give out the rest of the bears to the kids coming home from school between tomorrow and Friday.
Well, that's my day. I hope everyone's day was good.

Paula I love that song. Been listening to it for years. Definitely a favorite. Thanks for reminding me of it.

Chris that's a lot of bears! So exciting for you both. Love making smiles.

Commissioner meeting was tonight. Then went to my granddaughter's concert. We grabbed me a burger afterwards. It's late now. And I started working on my retirement letter.

When I retired, they had started closing down for COVID. As months turned into years, good intentions for a retirement party "one day" evaporated. And with turnover, so did most employees who knew me.

Hope you get lots of appreciation for your retirement, Shelley.

Just curious, is your "au revoir" letter gonna be sweet or spicy?

Paula, I had a retirement party with all my work mates...NO MANAGEMENT INVITED OR ALLOWED!! That was the only way we could keep my boss from showing up. He was an evil man.
I had my trainer today at noon for 60 mins.
Ronan has the next two and a half weeks off. I'm hoping to get a lot of walking in. I must find out when Sara goes back to work because that means we'll get Collin in the morning.
    I made soup today.
    I'm going to read now.

60 minutes on the recumbent and upper body workout.

Shellley congrats on the retirement letter. Ron’s last day is December 28th. He’s so ready.

    oh my where to start.

Paula I wish you could have that party. But I know you are still celebrating. Hmmm, a bit spicy and lots of nice. It has been a great career mostly.

Chris that so made me laugh. Bye bye! I remember how much you disliked him. Enjoy your break.

Kathy I am happy for you and Ron. More time for you both. Great work out. Keep at it.

I put on some cute leggings for tonight's workout. And pushed myself hard. Great workout. Lots of sweating going on.

Had to arrest a 12 year old. Kid thinks he can hit whoever he wants. Heading in the wrong direction. I think they will be sending him district court. More options for treatment there.

Our movie theater is playing It's a Wonderful Life. Going with friends. It's Rockys favorite Christmas movie.

Shelley, I got a Levi jacket for Collin that you were supposed to put the kid's name on the back. No way am I putting Collin's name on his jacket, so I put...BYE, BYE...on it!! Still waiting for it to get here before Christmas. :#
I feel sad for the 12 year old. I hope he gets help and turns the corner.
Collin and I walked to the farm and back. It was cold, but he was wrapped up and fell asleep 25 mins before we got home. I was watching him sleep after each sentence here, but then my keyboard woke him up. :/
Ronan and I gave out bears to a few of the school kids today. There were only a few parents who parked on our street this year. Our street has always been loaded with cars in past years. Oh, well. School gets out early tomorrow, but I will be at my trainer when the kids are released.
    I'm going to read now.

So glad you put bye bye on it. Better safe. Collin would miss your walks.

I didn't workout today. Did a little last minute shopping. Then removed some floor tiles. They are actually rock tiles. The real thing. Was easier putting them down 17 years ago. Out with the old in with the new. Carpet shopping is nect. Then new furniture.

My app for my aquarium lights was not working tonight. Wanted to turn them down a little. Will have to work on them some more tomorrow.

    Good job, Paula.
Thanks, Shelley. Yeah, I don't understand folks putting young kids names on stuff like that.
Collin and I did our walk this morning. He fell asleep 30 mins into it. After we got home I had to get ready to leave for my trainer and ran the ice maker on the fridge...I think that woke him up. :#... then I left.
Worked out w/my trainer this afternoon for 60 mins.
Going to finish my book now.

Paula my hubby is trying to get under 200. I wish you both good luck. The holidays would kill me.

Chris I love how you kept up with your walks even with the boys. You inspire me.

Went to Zumba after work. Oh my goodness. She was great. The instructor is a professional dancer actually. Trained anyway. It was fun and I didn't run into anyone.

Shelley, Zumba!! You haven't done that in a long time. What fun for you!
I had lunch with my LMC Journalism Instructor and one of her other students. We three have stayed in touch ever since I graduated LMC a million years ago. We had not seen each other since covid took over, so it was a bit of a shock to see my instructor with such long, long hair! It was fun to see them both.
The rest of the afternoon is undecided since it's raining off and on, and I'm past the 'wanting to walk' mode.
Tomorrow we have both boys from 9-1 so S&P can celebrate their 10th anniversary.
I have to wrap Christmas gifts tho...sigh.

Chris that sounds like so much fun. Glad you all stayed in touch. I am always wanting to cut my hair. But never sure how. Can't imagine letting it grow once it's been shorter and styled. Both boys. Eek that will be work. But fun seeing then interact.

Hit the gym this morning for a weight class. It was rough. Our instructor mentioned a 92 year old lady in her class at another gym. Wow!
