Chris let them buy his next coat. Don't let it ruin your Christmas. You are super grandparents. They are lucky to have you.

    Tired tonight.

I started the day with 20 mins in recumbent and an upper body workout. Then ended it with another 20 on the recumbent.

We had our family Christmas dinner yesterday so everyone can stay home with kids and grandkids on Christmas Day. Time to start new traditions and personally I miss mom so much and just want a quiet Christmas Day.

It was fun and my niece had many Tik Toc games for the kids and kept it lively. We had chili with all the different toppings as well as corn bread, crackers and Fritos. My sister set up a Sundae bar for the kiddies and the kids at heart. Awesome cookies as well.

A good time was had by all. I’m cooking on Christmas Day for about 6 of us. Then spending the evening watching Christmas movies. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

Shelley, I did exactly that last night...three jackets!! Two he can wear now and one for 5-6 months from now when he's a little bigger. DON'T MESS WITH GRANDMA! DON'T MAKE ME GET MY WAND!
Kathy, good job on your bike! I walked w/Collin for 1.71 miles in 48 mins and that is all! Spent a lot of time on Amazon...wonder if that can be considered finger exercises...hmmmm :D
Waiting for Raley's to fill our salad order for tomorrow's gathering. We'll put everything together tomorrow morning. It'll be fun.

We need to chop up all the stuff for the salad and get ready to leave for the kids. We will celebrate their 10th Anniversary and Christmas this evening.
My happy start for today was my sweet husband letting me know, with a rather nasty tone, that he was not happy that I had to make another Raley's order...we are out of soup...and then, to make my mood a bit more cheery, I went outside and picked up cat poop out of the lava rock...UGH!!! KEEP YOUR DARN CATS IN YOUR OWN YARD!!!! Ya gotta laugh at that!
I'm okay. I'll get in the shower in a bit and wash it all away.
This is a happy, happy day...I will smile and laugh with everyone and tell them I LOVE THEM TO THE MOON AND BACK! Hug the ones love. Keep them close.
I love you guys! Have a great Christmas Eve!

Kathy, I love that you can add celebrations on alternative days to make it possible to have multiple gatherings. Love the idea of making our own traditions.

Shelley, Best wishes to Rocky to break into onederland. In your pics, he already looks pretty healthy. But if he's like me, every additional healthier step is just very satisfying.

Chris, hope your family gives you lots of love.

Wishing you all a wonderful beginning to a new year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, love reading what you're all doing.

    Kathy hugs to you.

Chris have loads of fun on Amazon

Paula keep your cats away from Chris. Muahaha

I bought a necklace for a friend at our local jewelers. I fell in love with a piece I knew she would also love. I read the price and thought that isn't bad. Then I was shocked to learn they priced the chain separately! Oops

    Merry Christmas Gals!

I haven't been feeling too well the last few weeks....got a cold that took me out and then threw my back out which is finally better!

I've had some time off this week which has been nice. We are having family over today for Christmas dinner.....my siblings and their kids ...13 of us.

Back to exercising tomorrow now that I am feeling better.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday!

Karen, so sorry you were sick and then hurt you back. Bummer! Glad you are better.
Shelley, I did have a blast on Amazon...our credit card is my proof! :D Good thing I'm in charge. :o Sooo, did you get the necklace? And did you keep it? Did you gift it to your friend? What's the story here? Picture, please. Oh, and the end of my SIL trying to donate Collin's STAR jacket...turns out IT ISN'T TOO SMALL! SIL said he was confused and it was a pair of pants with stars on it that was too small. Yeah, I understand how a jacket and pair of pants can confuse you. Egads, man!
Paula, boy, howdy did we get love last night! It was a blast! Dinner, dessert and presents! <3
I put my shoes on this morning and walked to the Ruins. 5.29 miles in 101 mins. Really nice morning, a few walkers out, not much traffic. I plan on going out tomorrow, too.
    Later, my friends.

<3 Karen I am so happy to hear you are feeling better. Those colds can really pack a punch! Start back to exercising slowly. Don't want to over do it.

Chris you know pants and coats look alike. Both have 2 arms/legs. A zipper and pockets. See they look alike. :D

I did gift the necklace. I will try to get a photo of it later. Way to busy tonight at the Christmas party. When she wears it I will. She thought the wrapped box was an ornament. 04vov2aj4rka.jpeg She is really cute. I even got a hug when we convinced her there was something inside of it. Their families live in Cuba or Florida. We kind of adopted them. And they miss them dearly.

I am so happy everyone had a good Christmas.

<3 Kathy I hope you were able to reflect on past Christmas celebrations fondly.

    Good night

Morning. Happy everyone enjoyed the holiday. I spent it with my oldest sister and two of her daughters. It was nice and quiet and we talked about mom and past Christmases a lot. Holidays were always at my parents house so we have many fond memories. Ate way too much. Getting ready to workout.

I have to have my car towed to have it serviced. My engine light came on and it was making a funny noise. Wish me luck.

Oh. Ron gave me an Apple Watch for Christmas. So happy I’ve been wanting one. Now I have to figure how do set it up.🤣

He also gave me another gift which is a Christmas gift for me and a retirement gift for him. We’re going on a cruise on Virgin Voyages on February 23 for 5 days. His first my first on this cruise line. It’s an all adult cruise line. His last day is tomorrow. So happy for him.

    Great day ladies.

Shelley, Does one keep one's head inside? That'd be handy to keep ears warm.

Chris, Your SIL has really got me pondering. Here's a little meme for him.

Paula, I ponder at everything he says then I shake my head and walk away. I love my daughter to the moon and back, so I put up with is constant BS about everything he knows nothing about. :#
Kathy, sounds like you had a nice Christmas with your sister and her daughters. And what a great Christmas gift for you and Ron! And your new Apple watch. Please let us know how you like it. So sorry about your car. I don't do car stuff. I tell Pat about the blinking lights and he takes care of them. He tries to explain thing to me and you know how that goes... :p
Shelley, that's exactly what came to mind when I was told about the mix up...I should have asked if the star-pants were still in Ronan's dresser drawer. ;) Your friend is cute. I hope she doesn't hang the necklace on her tree... :D
I am glad everyone is doing good. Let's see what the New Year brings and takes...like my extra pounds, please. :o
    Have a great day, ladies.

I really wish they had a laugh button. I get giggles reading what you all write a lot.

Kathy I love the idea of an all adult cruise. I love children. But sometimes I just need to adult. I bet you have that watch figured out by now. Such a wonderful way to spend this year's Christmas.

Paula you made me giggle. I hope you also had a relaxing Christmas.

Chris I would almost trade you SIL for SIL. My daughter says they are moving to Roseburn, I think that is right. Because he is dying here from allergies. Well he hasn't yet and doesn't look as if he will and he has been here 18 years.

I will miss her. But I will not be running down there to visit all the time. They are the ones moving. They can come visit me. I am going to enjoy my retirement.

Shelley, so glad we can make you giggle! I don't want my SIL talking my daughter into moving out of the area. I will do anything to keep them here. I wish housing prices weren't so high around here...the one story across the street from us went for over $700,000!! The 2 story next door went for over $800,000!! They can't afford that. We were so lucky when we bought here 12 years ago! My trainer is moving to Tennessee to be with her kids. They already bought a piece of land to build their house on. :'( ...sigh.
I met with my trainer today for a 60 min workout. It was a good one.
Ronan came over to play with Grandpa. They are eating Doritos right now. :p
Gotta go. Must read now and drink coffee.

Chris I understand your doing anything to keep them near. I admit to trying really hard to not care. I need her gone now. That sounds awful. But it's been leading up to this for a long time. Very stressful. I need it to just be done.

I am sorry your trainer is moving. And hopefully you find a new workout partner.

Went to the gym tonight and did Zumba. It was loads of fun.

    Shelley and Chris,

It's really saddening to hear of your fears and heart pain. Wish life weren't such a kick in the pants so often.

    Sorry.

Yesterday was 45 on recumbent and a full body strength training session.

Family issues can be gut wrenching. I don’t have kids but I’ve had to learn to step back. People are going to do what they want regardless. And it hurts less to step back and let them. As my dad would say everyone had to li e with their choices. But it’s hard…especially when grandkids are involved.

Paula I agree life can be so hard sometimes.

I am so glad Sara and Pete have no intention of leaving the area. I whine and complain but I love having the boys here. I get pictures of Ronan when he was Collins age and it makes me smile so hard! Time flies!
It is raining now. I don't know if I'll be walking out there. We have Bean until tomorrow, I think.

Thanks Paula and Kathy for all your insight. It is very hard. I moved all my life growing up. Then again until I was 29. All I ever wanted was a family around me. Stability. Now I will have to get used to never having what most take for granted. You both never had children so I appreciate your perspectives. Thanks

Chris I truly hope they never move.

Yesterday I went to the gym. Lots of pushups. Then walked the dogs. Worked on the aquariums. Got them ready for water changes. Today we did the water changes. Had everything ready. Went to salt the water. And forgot to buy more. Went to PetCo and bought a 5 gallon bucket of salt. Then ordered carpet while we were out. Been a busy weekend.

Kathy I think we need a picture of her. And I really hope you can get 300 K out of her.

After work I went to the gym. Did a Tabata workout. It was a great workout. We had lunch at work today. Lester, he is from Cuba, cooked. He made Cuban sandwiches. They were very good. Which translates to I might have put some weight on.

Kathy - wow that car has been well-lived. Does she have a name? I name all of my cars :-)

Still fighting this cold. It's kind of turned into a cough now. I probably just need to sit and rest but that's not my jam. Yesterday was Bella's birthday and we went to New York for the day to see the Radio City Rockettes and hang out in New York. My oldest friend Rob met us there. We've been friends since I was 4 years old. He just lost his mother in November and his father the year before. He's going through so much grief. It was really great to have him join us and enjoy Christmas in New York. We had a great time.

My birthday was on the 28th. Went to this really beautiful tea room with my sister at a good friend of mine. It was really lovely. Love the way it was decorated.

I did get a few workouts in. Yesterday of course we walked our little tushies off. Let's see what today brings with this coughing.

I have not had the most successful holiday with eating an exercise. Just between physical ailments, and lack of focus, bending the year much higher than I had hoped. But today is a new day right :-)

Hope everybody has a great last day of 2024!

Got in an early workout before I spend the evening at Ron’s. We stay in…not hitting those streets with the younguns. 🤣 45 mins on recumbent and an abs workout. Took a break from strength training today,

Karen yes I’m very happy with the years I’ve gotten out of my Maxima, but I didn’t name her. I’m with you on the holiday eating. It’s a good thing I worked out during this time. Belated Happy Birthday!

Shelley here’s a picture of my baby. Ignore the messy garage.

I love the pictures, my friends.
Yesterday I met w/my trainer for a 60 min workout then I took my workout shoes off and put my walking shoes on and went out and walked around the high school and two of our parks for 2.78 miles in 54 mins.
Today I did 5.82 miles in 113 mins and am waiting for my turn in the shower. Ronan is going to come over for a couple hours playtime w/Grandpa and then we will all head over to his house to celebrate the coming of 2025! We will probably only stay until 9:00 at the latest. Sara is making chili and baked potatoes. Pie and whipped cream is dessert! yummm!
Have a great New Years Eve my lovely friends! I love you all!

Karen I do wish you get better. But also glad you were able to celebrate. As always such lovely smiles.

Kathy you have taken such great care of your car. She will make it. And your garage makes me cringe to think of mine. Mine looks like a bomb or natural disaster hit. Yours is practically empty. We also stayed home.

Chris I hope there was still hot water left for you. I bet you had a wonderful night.
