Up .2 tenths of a lb from last year. I'm still grossly overweight and struggle with it since my pacemaker and heart surgery January and February 2020.

It's boils down to 2 things for me.
Overeating on many occasions and my body absolutely does not not like white carbs or sugar.

What's the bottom line? For 2025?
TBD (to be determined) It's a mental battle that continues on. Never to give up though.
    345.0 1/1/24
    345.2 1/1/25

I've always since 2010 when I started my journey @ 400 lbs and started sleep Apnea therapy to get back to 200 lbs. After losing 102 lbs on WW 2010-2011 It's been a yo yo ever since then.

Not done yet though. Life goes on and I'm still working at 77. Story to be continued.

Up seven pounds from yea4-end 2024, as I mentioned in Steve's year in review. Bad choices and behavior, plain and simple. “Car eating”, anyone? I mean, calories don’t count if you eat them in the car with no one around, right?

I'm down 3 pounds from last New Year's Day, but still 11 pounds over my personal target weight (though I am still maintaining under my WW goal). As always, I know exactly what I need to do, but actually doing it? If there were a pill for that, I'd be a millionaire!

Charlie—Costco samples don’t count either, even if you hit every hit every sample station. I never once logged and tracked them in 2024. There’s my 10 lb weight gain!

Actually down by 9 pounds from 1/1//24 to 1/2/25, but that's all in the past 2 weeks post cardiac surgery, I suspect some of it may be changes in some of my meds, but some of it may also be a result of a successful surgery with an improved heart rate and BP Now to try and keep the weight loss going!

I’m up but right now it’s about 1 lb. It was 3 lbs about 2 months ago. If this keeps going I’m planning a post on the tiny change that I think has reversed the slow much upward.

@Imastar2 What do you overeat? or are you saying you over eat white carbs and sugar?
Do you get in much for activity? What about strength training? Are you still in Cardio rehab?
What is your Ejection Fraction (EF)?

Sorry - my mom, 78 had a severe Heart Attack July 2024. I've been the, what do you call it, medical liaison between her and the doctor (which I'm supposed to call today). I'm a little freaked out yet and worry about her / health/death more than I probably need to. ANYWAY - I know that she is on Lasix and that has helped her drop some weight..... she maybe is only 30# overweight now. her EF was 20-25% and now is 30-35%. She had a defib. Pacemaker installed 10/31/24

In your case, have they given you clearance to do some strength training? or anything? Yes, weight loss is a LOT about eating WHOLE foods - and the quantity - but retaining muscle as we age is important also.

In advance, sorry for all the questions.

Small changes can add up to big results

I’m up 10 lbs for the year. Six lbs is lean muscle mass and 4 lbs fat , as measured by DEXA body scan.
