I'm down 0.6 pounds. So the journey begins (again, and again, and again)!
I'm recommitting to losing those "last 10 pounds" yet again. The past couple of days were solid, so I'll work to keep with it. I've also got to decide on a 2025 running goal. I'd like to shoot for a few more miles this year, and at the same time, I don't want to increase my goal too much to make it a chore to go out running.
Anyway, still maintaining.

Refusing to weigh in at this point. Been at least 5-6 weeks. I just know that I could spiral if I get the number, so I am waiting and hoping that I get my act together with eating whole foods (les processed crap) and being more mindful of eating when hungry - and then stopping when satisfied.
Guessing I'm at the last 5-10# (hoping not 10). Which is why it's so hard. Because my clothes fit regardless and, I'm literally the only one who really knows its there.
Goal this year...... no injuries. Which means I am taking more rest/mobility/recovery days each week. Planned 3 a week. One of them being on Sunday.

Down 3.8, which seems wrong because I have tracked calorie intake to eat minus 500 calories per day or 1 lb per week. Weird. Next Friday I’ll probably be up. Such are the vagaries of the scale.2

10 lbs is a much higher percentage of your weight than for someone weighing significantly more. I would think that makes that weight loss harder to achieve.

Up 0.2# So, it continues!1

Up 1.6 pounds over the past two weeks. Not enthused, but that’s not a bad result for Christmas and New Years. I can think of a couple of meals that I’d have been happy with a 1.6# gain after.
At any rate, right now my head is on straight in terms of my choices, and I’m working towards weighing if as “free Lifetime” by the end of the month.1 -
Down .6 lbs. I'll take it considering the time if year. I need to get serious this week.1

Hey Friday Weighers!
I'm a week late reporting but wanted to post it here to be official. I'm down 5.4 pounds since mid-September when I took a break from weekly weighing. I have much more to say about that experiment/experience but I'm playing catch-up on life right now due to some unexpected things that happened during the holidays that had us traveling even more than usual. My FIL passed away, and while his death was expected, it came much faster than anticipated and while we were mid-travel elsewhere. As we were literally packing to leave for the funeral, I got a call that my "seemingly" healthy 60-year-old brother had had a heart attack. It was a widowmaker, and he's extremely lucky to be alive. I'll say more about that later.
Looking forward to catching up on all the GOAD news, hopefully tomorrow.
Happy New Year! Wishing everyone good health and the perfect amount of focus in 2025 to achieve what you want regarding your weight and fitness goals.

Please accept my condolences for your FIL's death. I'm sure you and your family are ecstatic that your brother survived a heart attack. Several of us here have had a heart attack or heart disease, which can be a four-alarm wake-up call to use preventive measures. My cardiologist says that only 5% of heart patients follow American Heart association guidelines for heart health. I don't want to be that guy whose heart attack could have avoided by taking better care of himself.1
