Do the side effects ever get better?

I’m on week six of MJ (5mg). I feel so nauseous and weak for the three days after the injection. I keep hearing “it gets better” but does it really? I’ve read that once the medication reaches a “therapeutic level”, the side effects will fade. My doctor asked if I wanted to switch to ozempic but I’ve heard the side effects are similar.

Also, I could literally go days without eating on this medication (which I know I can’t do). It’s so hard to force yourself to eat when you’re nauseous. Any advice is appreciated.

    Only on week 2 of 2.5 mg so I'm not where you are at. But from any research I have done has said hydration, protein and fiber is key, esp the day before injection. Hoping this will help me in 2 weeks when I start my 1st 5mg shot. Maybe this will help you? But you may already be doing this. Good luck! Let me know if you have any success with anything please!

    Also, maybe ask your Dr if you can space out your shots longer than 7 days?

    Hi, I am on day 4 starting on 2.5. I also feel nauseous and could live without food. I know it’s early days but will keep you updated. I hope you get some resolution.
