I have been working VERY HARD over the past four months and am VERY excited about my progress. Looking forward to leaving the 300s and heading into Twoterville, FOR SURE! No trepidation or worry at all...cannot wait to see where this year and this journey takes me. Excited for all of the things I will see occur this year and hoping to hit or surpass the goals I've set for 2025.
Thank you to all the members of this team who are a DAILY source of support, motivation and friendship...I love you guys!

I'm sorry, I messed up the date. The 10,754 is for the 19th, and I don't have step total for the 20th yet.
I probably shouldn't do number-related things first thing in the morning!5 -

Me, either! Then again, it takes me all morning to get past the morning.3 -

Sun/Mon I was off Mon. Watched Squid games and some football with the kiddos. Hung out and had a few drinks
Still working on increasing my daily steps back up to where I used to be at 10k a day. And also, in support of my daughter, I have stopped my late-night munching4 -

Yesterday, I was pretty busy getting everything ready for the week. Even so, I took my dogs for a nice long walk before I started cleaning and prepping meals for the rest of the week. I also did a rough meal plan, so I know what to prep and when. Today doesn't look like it's going to be less busy, tbh. I have work, then training, and then my writing group, so I'm going to be going from about 7 to 4:30.
One thing I've been working on is having comfortable places to land when fatigue hits. I rearranged my room so that I can lay down comfortably when my pain is high and have little sections throughout the apartment that have sketchbooks and notebooks, so I can still do (toned-down, extremely non-stressful) work while resting. I'm having to do a bit of the same thing with cooking, where I have simple things on hand that I can throw together when I'm tired. I'm trying to apply the same principle to exercise (segmented spaces, low effort), but I'm not sure what that looks like yet.4 -

@izzyred9400 Thank you. I had a crappy week, but ready to get back on track. Glad you are finally feeling better!5

@izzyred9400 Thank you And I'm so glad to hear you're getting your energy back!
I'm feeling a little run-down by this point in the week. Defaulting to more simple meals has helped a lot, but I'll be glad to get some breathing room. I've only managed the one walk this week, but I'm going to try and get a few more before the week ends. Good luck with the second half, everyone!3 -

My 10k race is on Sunday, and I feel quite under prepared. I've only really been training for about a month because of injury and then illness. I can run the distance, but not comfortably and not quite the pace I would like. I'm trying to be okay with just doing what I can, and not worrying about what I can't. But I'm not good at that lol.

Still not great, got to get back up to 10K. But the fact that I'm posting at 4:00 PM rather than my usual 5:00 AM should tell you that my days have been somewhat eradic. LOL I have a 3 day weekend so definitely looking forward to that. And the temps are supposed to get up above 30 degrees so hoping to get back oustide for some steps.
@Zaxa2021 I have a feeling that you will do better than you think on Sunday. And I know how hard it is to just let it go if you don't meet the time you're hoping for, but please try. Why is it that we are so hard on ourselves?? You have been doing great! Get out and run for the fun of it, split time be damned! LOL Celebrate the fact that you are doing what millions cannot.4 -

@jessicakrall8 Hi Jessica: nice to be back in this awesome community of Shape Shifters! Yes, nancyinmo became nancyinmiami — I had to! lol. It’s been a wonderful year for us. The warm air and sunshine has done wonders for my soul! I adapted to Florida living (I now freeze when it’s below 60 lol). Retirement took a little getting used to. I was teaching Jazzercise and Zumba once a week, but decided I’m happier being a student. Fortunately, we have both here. I’m also taking Spanish lessons (a MUST in Miami) and loving it. Playing lots of tennis, exploring, meeting new friends. My condo is like a dream. This is the happiest I’ve been in decades. My daughter graduated college, got a great job, and liked it so much here she came down as well. She’s about an hour away, which makes me very happy. It’s been a very good year and I’m very thankful every day. As for my weight, I ended up losing a total of 111 pounds, but put 30 back on. Even with all the activity I do, I definitely have some work to do. My goal is to lose about 20-25. I hope you and everyone here is doing well, and I look forward to hearing all and seeing your progress!5

Hello Shape Shifters and welcome back @nancyinmiami! It’s great to have you here with us again.
I’ve been on the support list while shifting my attention to a number of other personal and professional responsibilities.
I’m looking forward to returning to the group in March.
On February 27, I’ll send a new starting weight on my usual Thursday weigh in day, in preparation for the March 2 start date.
So, my official return to the regular group will be Thursday, March 6. Please let me know if that sounds right or if I need to adjust my plan.
There’s a lot to catch up on, but I don’t know where to start, so I won’t open the Pandora’s Box tonight 🙃!
I hope everyone is doing well, and recovering from your seasonal illnesses, etc. Spring is coming!
I’m so sorry to read about the loss of your mother @CasandraW. I’m sending healing thoughts along with my condolences. It will take time to grieve but I hope your positive memories sustain you.
