Good morning from UK Waistaways 🥰
Not much planned for me today 😊
Just work and little down time with family 🥰
I was just wondering about MFP Premium. Do any of you use it? Is it still worth it?
To be honest I only use MFP these days for our group, but I would like to start logging properly and use MFP for what it is. I hate that we lost newsfeed. I loved it 😢
I hope you are having a lovely day 🥰1 -

Thanks for the update - do you have last Sunday, January 19 for me? The weeks run Sunday to Saturday and I don't think I had that one from your last update!0 -
@strong_fit_ells
I don't have MFP premium, never have.
The only thing I am using MFP for right now is the community section, and logging my weight.1 -
@ashleycarole86 - Thursday, January 23 - 4,286 steps
Friday, January 24 - 7,567 steps, 1 hour of CrossFit
Saturday, January 25 - 3,944 steps
Sunday, January 26 - 5,303 steps 45 minutes of walking/jogging
I took Thursday off from the gym to rest my knee. Also, my mom needed help getting her furnace running again during the class time I could make. Friday I did the workout, but went a bit easy and wore my knee brace. All day Saturday (another day where I took it easy), my knee felt great. I woke up Sunday and went to the gym with the intention of doing a mile or two of walking/jogging/running and then a core workout. I forgot to wear my knee brace because it felt so good. I ended up doing way more damage to it. It hurts bad today. I've been r-i-c-e-ing it. Rest Ice Compression Elevation. That helps, but I wish I would have been smarter.1 -

@strong_fit_ells I have been on MFP for so many years and have never even used the trial. I don't need the features that it has (different calorie levels for different days, more customisation on macros, etc) and the barcode scanner is still working with free in Australia. I figure the database is exactly the same, so is the community, and I can accurately count my intake and not pay $129 a year! Ads don't bother me here, either.
I feel YUCK, we had a long weekend and it ended up full of lovely food and booze, but today my angry gall bladder and its little rocky friends are telling me all about it. Official weigh in tomorrow and I do not have high hopes, though with the tummy doing the backflips it is, I think today will be a light soup day.

@MaddawgMadsen oh no!! Too much on the knee too soon 😖 RICE is definitely the way to go.
@Alatariel75 ugh you mentioning gallbladder is giving me flashbacks. I had mine removed in 2013. Best thing ever!
I went for 2 short walks today and we went out to dinner (planned). I got grilled chicken and carrots. Then we went to a grocery store and I walked more. Well my surgical site is definitely letting me know it didn't like all that walking (only 4700 steps) so now I'm already laying in bed and just took some ibuprofen.
I hope everyone has had a good Monday!
Does anyone have a discussion question they would like to ask for this week?1 -

Well, last week was a fluctuation up, this week was down. I'm now officially at a "normal" weight! Have some more to go before I put myself in maintenance mode, but I'm happy about the progress I've made so far.3 -

Congratulations! You are down almost 50 pounds from your highest weight!! What is your biggest tip you can share?2 -

I have been eating in maintenance this last week and lost some bloat from surgery. I am happy with this. I am still eating in maintenance as I don't want to stress my body too much. I definitely overdid it walking yesterday, so today is going to be a take it easy day.1 -

@lauren_989 may I please weight tomorrow? Monday was a holiday here and I was positive it was only Tuesday when I got up, so I didn't weigh!2

The biggest help for me this go around has been taking planned breaks from my calorie deficit. Previously, I would try to push through, be miserable, and give up. I've taken a 1-2 week break every 3ish months. I've also been following different social media folks this time around that I've really enjoyed (all on Instagram): ablack_fitness, adamwrightfitness, ericavillani, james_cappola, soheefit, bdccarpenter and amber_c_fitness.1 -
@Kali225 glad to hear your found a car. Hope it was reasonably easy to find one.
@strong_fit_ells great step count.
@Lyss983 - Wooohooo!!!! Great job at reaching such a huge milestone.

This week has been rough. My knee has been hurting which I posted about earlier this week. Yesterday, the president of our company (who is my counterpart/equal - I am the CFO) decided to send an hourly employee to expo over me so that she can be the face of the company next to him. The initial plan was to save money by only sending him with his wife. Realizing he needed more help, it would make most sense to send a salaried employee. But no, we are going to send our admin/customer service rep and pay boatloads of OT because he's decided I don't get to travel. It is kind of the last straw for me in this job. I make good money, I enjoy parts of what I do, I like some of the people I work with, and my foreign bosses love me. But, I am realizing it is not worth it if the person I have to work with day in and day out is never going to respect me. So, I am submitting my application today to be the assistant parks and recreation director. Wish me luck.
Oh, and then today. I went to spin class. My knee did not like it much even though I took it easy. As I was leaving, I had to stop at the front desk and renew my membership for the next year, which required pulling my wallet out for a card. This is the last I saw of my wallet. I had a baggy sweatshirt on and was positive I put it in the pocket with my phone and keys. When I got home, all I pulled out of the pocket were my phone and keys. No wallet. Obviously, I panicked. I searched all through my vehicle and my spin bag (in the dark because it was EARLY). I went back to the gym, searched everywhere near where I parked, went to the front desk, searched the ground, and nothing. When I got home, my husband said we had a $4 pending transaction from a grocery store that is near the gym. Based on that, we thought it was stolen. I canceled a credit card, paused all the debit cards, filed a police report, and scheduled an appointment to get a new license. Then, we decided to search everything again in the daylight. It was in my spin bag the whole time. I'm still getting rid of the overly baggy sweatshirt.
I have been reading everyone's posts and meaning to reply. I just have been in my own head space the last few days with everything going on.
@Kali225 - Congrats on the new (to you?), brother approved vehicle!
@lauren_989 - I am glad you were able to get up and move around post surgery. It stinks that the amount of walking you did was a little too much, but I am also happy you have more time available to let it heal.
@Lyss983 - Amazing work! You are an inspiration.
And, to everyone who commented on the MFP Premium, thank you! I didn't realize I could be part of this group without premium. So, guess who is NOT renewing premium this June? ... me. It's me. I'm not renewing.2 -

Bit of a blip, but my weekend of eating was not great (nor was it tracked), and on the flip, I did an 11km walk yesterday and I'm a bit sore.
Back on track this week though. I want to hit my 30kg down!!2 -
OMG @MaddawgMadsen that must have been SO frustrating about the wallet troubles. And, I'm sorry to hear about the troubles at work. I know it's not the first time you've shared your situation. I will have my fingers crossed for you!
I am sick.. AGAIN!
Can't make this stuff up.
Last week it was like a stomach flu, this week more respiratory.. I guess my immune system was just low and I caught a different bug. It's really messing with my mojo.2 -
