WHY do I do it to myself? The last 2 days I have been tired, and drained and there's been emotional stuff going on, but eating a bunch of sugar doesn't help anything, not even in the minute, and all it does it make me feel awful. I literally feel hungover. I started out feeling like this yesterday and swearing that I wasn't going to do it again, and guess what??
I'm going to come back and read this whenever I need to today. Future Al - DON'T DO IT!!2 -

I'm glad you posted and reached out! Stress and lack of sleep can definitely be triggers for overeating or not making good decisions. Did you have any positives? Still do some yoga or take your pup on a walk? Can you get rid of the sugary foods in the house? You got this, you can get back on track! You are still 63 pounds or 28kgs from your highest weight! 💜1 -

Thank you @lauren_989, you have asked such good questions! I am still doing yoga, and walking the pup, and that's a big victory for me, I'm usually all or nothing. I am going to get rid of my sugary treats, my husband's will have to stay but they will be HIS and not OURS.
And thank you for reminding me of the numbers - it's easy to forget, but I've come a long way!!2 -

Hi team,
My name is Angela. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Washington state to be exact. I'm 40 years old. I'm married to my college sweetheart for the past 13 years, together for the past almost 20 years. We have 3 amazing kiddos. I work as a RN and just started a position as a health coach which is helping me relearn the basics on my own journey to health and wellness while helping others. I didn't struggle with my weight as a young adult but after I met my husband, I put on what I like to call, my "happy weight," and have steadily gained from there. I now struggle with portion sizes and not eating enough healthy options. I have also had some of the yo-yoing when it comes to weight loss. For me, I only seem to lose weight if I follow a good diet and exercise consistently. I started working from home about 2 years ago and thought it would be better for weight loss but am realizing it seems to be harder because I am not doing meal prep for lunches and snacks are within easy reach. My goals are to focus on portion control and healthy meal prep. I also am going to start exercising 3 days per week because this seems reasonable and accomplishable for me. I would like to add a step goal but haven't really been keeping track since my Fitbit stopped working a while ago. I haven't replaced it yet. Does anyone have recs for a fitness tracker they like that also connects to MFP? Thank you in advance. Finally, I would like to get out and hike more, I grew up hiking (both parents were forest service workers) and enjoyed the scenery and fresh air but my husband isn't into hiking or being outside in the cold so I really haven't done much hiking in my adult life. My overall weight loss goal is between 80-90lbs, but I will take any wins as long as I'm feeling better in my skin. I'm hoping that I by being part of this group and participating in the challenges it will help motivate me and keep me on track.1 -
Welcome, Angela! You have some great goals in place for February. I like how you said "realistic."
What type of nursing do you do? Or are you focusing now on health coaching? I worked on a heart failure floor at the hospital, IV team doing difficult starts and ultrasound, and now I'm in primary care.
Kristi (@conleywoods) is also from Washington!
Welcome and I hope you enjoy this team like I do!2 -
