@lauren_989 that sounds like a great spread! I planted my zucchini in spring and thought it was done by mid-summer, but it got a second wind and now I'm inundated!

I'm planning my autumn garden now, golden beets, romaensco broccoli, mini cauliflower, silverbeet and broccolini are on the list.

Do you have a garden or raised beds?

Raised beds and a bunch of pots and planters :)

So we found out last week that my daughter is pregnant :)<3 again...
Then we found out on Tuesday...
    qry92igxrkhf.png

    She's having twins...I'm still in shock :o

She was doing really good until Thursday and she started the throwing up and not stopping thing...
    it's called hyperemesis gravidarum (HG)
She had it through her first pregnancy - 18 hospital visits :o We had our fingers crossed but looks like it's happening again - they actually said it's more common with twins - I feel so bad for her because there's nothing that can really be done except going in and getting hooked to IV fluids and IV anti-nausea meds...but sometimes she has to wait in the waiting room....so stupid...when she doesn't really even need a bed just a hook up...

Congratulations to you all! How exciting. Sorry to hear she’s experiencing HG. That makes it challenging for her. My daughter is also pregnant. She is due May 7th, but will go early for sure as she had preeclampsia with my first granddaughter. Wishing you all the best!!

Exciting to the grandparents that will be welcoming new little ones to their family soon @micki48 @fourathomej

@micki48 I agree the news is so distressing right now. I've never been one to watch the news much which means I can be a bit out of the loop but I prefer it that way. When I turn it on I get pretty depressed about the state of the world and humanity and I find it better to avoid it. Brad watches it much more and I can see a decline in his world view when he does so I've been encouraging him to tune out when he can as well.

As Bills fans we are team Philly today, although we won't watch much of it. We want to go see the new Becoming Led Zeppelin movie in IMAX and tonight's the night.

Brad and I leave for Mexico on Saturday so just one more week of this bitter cold and then some warm weather is in store for us!

And finally.. I'm overdue on posting my steps which haven't been great since I got so sick. I still have some lingering symptoms and don't feel up to much. Hoping to keep building back to my normal.

@lauren_989 is it possible to move my weigh-in day? I'm thinking Sunday will be an easier day for me.

I am hoping to get back to some form of exercise today. It's my work from home day so if I don't do intentional exercise, my steps will be really low. Especially because it's too cold to walk my small dog.

What's everyone looking forward to this week?

Last week obviously was not a good week. The reasons, or triggers if you will, are not at issue here. Issues and triggers will continue to happen; how they're handled is up to me. I need to refocus and only look forward.

I am exhasuted today, and definitely overate last night. My goal for today is to make it through the day without falling asleep. Ideally I would like to go for a walk later, and hoping it's not raining outside.

I'm on my way to Melbourne, Victoria for work, up at 3:50am and on a plane at 5:30am!
I must admit, the puppy had conditioned me to get up early so it wasn't that painful.

I'm really looking forward to it, today I'm catching up with an old mentee for coffee, and tonight I have a night to myself so I'm going to take a long walk and take myself out for dinner.
I have a nice hotel room, and tomorrow I'm going to dinner with friends, Thursday I have lunch with another friend. Also working and catching up with my team, of course!

I've not been back since before Christmas, and I'm another 8kg down since then. I have some new clothes, and a new haircut, and I'm actually feeling really good about myself.

Things at home are not great, so I'm also looking forward to some space to myself, though my heart already hurts from missing my puppy!!

@fourathomej - Congratulations - hope your daughter stays well during the pregnancy.

@Alatariel75 - all this talk about gardening is giving me envy. It's snow covered out my window and I'm dreaming of the spring to plant my garden. Have a great trip

ashleycarole86 - Enjoy the warm weather next week.

I got a workout in this morning even though I almost convinced myself not to but would like to track my eating a bit this week. With all my activity I'm surprised I'm not losing weight, I must be eating a bit too much.

Can't say I'm looking forward to much this week except for a long weekend coming up and some time soaking in the hot tub. I hope February goes by fast.

First day back on the Peloton after my bouts of sickness! Felt good, I was tight in my hips.. definitely needed it!

I am working from home today so it's much easier as I don't have the commute time to worry about. It frees me up and it's great when I use that time to make good choices!

@fourathomej - Congratulations! I hope your daughter can stay healthy through this pregnancy!

I am looking forward to maybe hearing back about my application. It's been over a week and all I have seen is the confirmation email that they received it. I did send a follow up email today acknowledging that they are busy, but asking for an estimated timeline for the hiring process. Sharing my excitement at the opportunity and letting them know again why I would be a good fit. And, then thanking them for their consideration, but letting them know that I hope to hear from them. I have a couple of other jobs I want to apply to this week.

    Hello hello.

I am back from France - exhausting travel day on Sunday, and my stomach seems back to normal mostly, but now I have a bit of a head cold/heavy congestion. Can't wait for this weekend to really SLEEP. I went to bed last night before 9pm!

@fourathomej congratulations! But ugh, I have sympathy for the nausea given my woes last week, can't imagine facing that for weeks at a time with little relief at home. :(

I did not watch a single second of the super bowl even though I got home during the 2nd half. Glad the chiefs lost at least haha.

@ashleycarole86 late again on steps, hope this pic attaches:

@Kali225 glad the nausea is better, but I'm sorry you have a cold now! Flu and covid numbers are up by us, so hopefully it's nothing too bad. Do you have any pictures from your trip?

Still stressful here, unfortunately. It's not really a situation that has an easy answer or a swift resolution, sadly. But I'm muddling through and trying to prioritise my own health and wellbeing.
